  1. Something I was wondering... So last year the event sold out because of people going to Walking Dead.

But did it sold out this year? Seems odd that with a better house and a park full of zombies and I didn't hear anything about the event selling out any nights.

  2. I'm not quite sure where this question belongs, so I posted in this forum.

Does anyone know what happens to all of the unsold HHN merchandise?

Google searches and fan site searches have not revealed an answer.

Do they sell it discounted on the last night of the event?

Do they sell it online? Thanks for any input.

    yes

  3. Was Mary Shaw in the elevator scene?

As for the lines, I always do the back houses first so when i finally got to the soundstages, they all had 90 minute waits. I braved the line Cabin in the Woods since it was my most anticipated. It ended up being less than an hour, though i still wish you could have seen the pre show through the whole line and not just right before you enter the house.

I think express pass holders hit the soundstages first in the night which clogs up the line early in the night.

the placement of that video is completely ridiculous since they have an entire wall to play that thing on the other side.

It is seriously one of those things that I cannot understand.... I hope there is a good explanation for not having the video on that other side of the wall....

one of the few houses to get a video and it is placed in the Worst place possible....... omg.

  4. Keep in mind, I don't think John Murdy has any influence concerning Bill and Ted or Shows in general. Rumors are that it was a direct order from the copyright holder(s) of Bill and Ted that lead to the Hollywood production getting canceled?

it's weird because I can understand, But yet Bill and Ted do say the F-- word in the movie... so it's bizarre

  5. Bill and Teds last year was great in Hollwyood ! But I agree , most years are pretty lackluster.

    yeah,

I am just saying, I cannot understand how Uni can make all these great rides and they can make these cool haunted houses, a company that makes cool movies.

But they cannot make another good show for their halloween event based on Horror? I literally cannot compute this...

  6. I've never seen the show...just doesn't interest me at all. I watched it online and it still didn't interest me much. I would rather have a horror centered show to be honest.

This is the same problem that plagues Orlando...

I have never truly enjoyed Bill and Ted and doing it sometimes almost feels like a chore, or doing something because every single other line is too long.

But I agree, I really don't understand how a company like UNIVERSAL cannot do some really awesome, amazing horror dance shows. This Baffles me.

You have a theme park and movie studio company and they cannot come up with a good halloween HORROR show for the crowds? It's like, Are you kidding me? I really don't get it. They cannot come up with some kind of dance and music Horror based show or something?

And besides that Bill and Ted is never even good so It really baffles me and sometimes it shocks me that there is such a lack of good shows on both parks....

I would even accept a version of Repo the Generic Opera. Or something... anything.

  7. so most people's favorite houses are Werewolf and cabin. (evil dead is getting good reviews)
and I think in general people might be saying they didn't like Havoc and afterlife, (and la llorona)

Which is really funny to me because last year it was the opposite, people loved the originals but had some problems with the IPs.

Also I wonder if the ones in charge at Universal might see this year as proof that original houses are not good to bring in the crowds, therefore making sure we will only get IPs...

  8. I imagine that if the train remained open it would work pretty much the same as it will during the day. During the day, you will need a park-to-park ticket to ride the train to the other park. During HHN, you would need a valid IoA ticket to ride one way and a valid HHN ticket to ride the other way.

My guess is that during HHN, the train ride will close to avoid the logistical issues of having yet another entrance into the park. I would expect the Gringotts coaster to be open.

don't get me wrong... I am Praying here that this is the case... Not having that new ride open will suck so badly... I won't even visit that ride for a very long time unless it is at HHN, it will probably be years after it opens if I do.... so I am really hoping they open it.

And If they do what you said, I would be so glad.

  9. Glad to see I'm not the only one putting CiTW at top, from what I've seen at least. Good review though I do have to disagree with most of your opinions (I'll elaborate if needed), but you did have good reasons for your opinions. The one thing I will acknowledge is that I don't know what day you went (I went on a Thursday), but the times I faced were much shorter, with the lowest being 10-15 minutes (Havoc) and the longest being 45. Walking Dead was a 60-75 minute wait from what I saw.

CITW is not as good as everyone is making it sound.... Evil Dead is better

  10. I can see the issue with the ride. Kids are going to want to ride it because of the books and movies and some might not be able to handle too much scary stuff. But for HHN, everyone should know what they're getting into. Of course you would focus on the dark parts of the story, that's what HHN does.

Well yeah during HHN it Should be dark, but WB is weird, they might still say no. It would be a dream to have some kind of zone in this area. with darker music playing over the whole thing... I would probably spend most of my time here if that was the case...

well yeah But what If they want to keep this part for Islands and for people traveling back and forth while HHN is going on? I mean since HHN is a separate event, wouldn't they have to stop the train at 6? or just close the Potter area for Islands until that park closes..... I dont know

  11. well the same thing happened to the Orlando show last year but it was because they were making fun of Mitt Romney, People were talking about boycotting and stuff.

They got so much crap about it from conservatives they had to change the show a little bit .

  12. it wasn't that funny..... A lot of stuff I didn't get the point.
What was funny about Bieber? that sucked. what was funny about sofia vergara? How many times have this show used Kim Kardashian and Kanye? 6 times already? I mean, to me This show will always feel like that "Disaster Movie" or "Epic Movie" or "Date movie" .... they even make fun of the same celebrities..

It's like the same concept of those movies but in a show. "let's show this celebrity and do some silly jokes about them". I don't get it. Just because Bieber came out and they said that stuff about him suing you, doesn't make it funny. since when is stating facts supposed to be funny?

I really liked the goat though. The Goat, Johnny Depp, and the demon celebrities were cool. I loved the first dance number. but that's it.

  13. Actually, that was going to be the original ExtraTERRORestrial and it would have been called Nostromo after the ship in the film.

You've admittedly got a point here. I mean, Disney had two opportunities to use Alien and rejected one and didn't even think of one.

I mean, that just shows me, They can't even do a ride with a property they got because it was rated R (the movie was not even that gory or anything) . How could they do an event like HOS or HHN....... I just can't see them doing it.

  14. It's in The Great Movie Ride and there's an alien costume periodically in the exhibit after the studio tour.

I know I've seen it, but that's my point... they couldn't even do a whole ride based on Alien, (it didn't even have to be scary) They could have done something like the Great Movie Ride based only on Alien and they didn't... That's what I hate, that Alien was put on the movie ride...

So I don't see how they could do a scary halloween event.

  15. What's the controversy about? It seems like a perfect fit to me. They could even do a HP themed scarezone or house. Plenty of material: dementors, giant spiders, ogres, ghosts, thestrals (the freaky invisible horses), etc. You could even use the centaurs and house elves for some scares.

For Harry Potter, I would be fine with just having Death Eaters roaming around. That's it. They don't even need to scare people. They can just walk around and look at you and that would be enough for me.

Why do I say this? because the controversy probably deals with how they don't want Harry Potter to scare kids or something... Wasn't that the same problem with the Potter Ride? and the fact that they had to hide some of the Dementors? ( I know HHN is not meant for kids.... but you know...)

I do not think they would have anything scary over the Potter part of the park, And I can even understand. But It would be amazing Just to see Death Eaters walking around with their masks. Honestly that would be enough for me to be happy for next year.

But who knows. They might not even have it open during HHN which would Definitely suck big time.

Because this could be a big people eater. It could even help with the long lines we saw this year...... I really hope they at least have Potter open during HHN even if it has nothing related to halloween.

  16. well.... Obviously they would change the hispanic part lol.....duh.

I don't know, I don't even hate the house, but I don't really go in it too often. The house was okay but I rather be doing other houses. Nothing special about this one, But that doesn't mean I am saying it is a bad house. Or that the actors are doing a bad job. Just nothing about this house (except for the ending) Was special for me. It kind of disappoint me a little knowing what they did for Hollywood. I wasn't expecting and exact same layout but I didn't expect it to feel so generic either.

  17. Boo getting houses from Hollywood!

Boo our houses aren't the same as Hollywood's!

i know they don't have to be, but they could have at least bring the props.

And, what is the point of doing a Hollywood house in Orlando if you are not even going to do the best parts of that house? they might as well have done a "Mama" house for Orlando, there would be absolutely no difference.

They could have easily made that house like the movie and it would have been fine. Like, it didn't even need the name Llorona since it's so generic

  18. I thoroughly enjoyed this house but not because of the scares. The sets and overall vibe of the house were spot on but the scares were so typical and pretty much predictable. Also, the last "scene" in the house right before you exit was rather lame. I was hoping for the giant Llorona puppet, and I understand that they probably wanted to stay away from doing what Hollywood did but the final in our house was like a golden opportunity for it.

those puppets were the only reason I wanted to see La Llorona come to Orlando, without them, the house lost my interest honestly. I still like the house, and I got scared here a lot. But It was disappointing.

But funnily enough, the last room is my favorite part of the house, Those horse costumes are my favorite part of the house, I dont know why, I just love them. I love seeing those horse costumes the most.
