The reason why we had so many freaking movie theme houses from 06-09 (I think 13 total, I could be wrong) is because a certain former member of A&D loved pop culture. Yes the GP loves horror movies but having movie base themes didnt pull in the numbers it was suppose to. We have had yrs believe it or not where there was no movie theme houses. However we had houses based on movies but unless you saw the movie you wouldnt have known... Ship of Screams (Ghost Ship), Demon Catina (Sp?) (From Dusk til Dawn) and a few others. But like I said they didnt market on those houses like they have with some movie houses the last few yrs yrs.

, thank you for clearing that for me, I always like your and JWFearman's input, I'm really sorry for the rant, is just that it seemed like movie houses would always be there, but i get what you're saying, I wonder why the movie houses didn't pull in the numbers it was supposed to? and about bloody mary and the queen of Hearts comment, well it is going to be the 20th anniversary for HHN Orlando, but, maybe UH would just do the bloody mary theme for this year?

how about people(men/women) shaving their heads for something thats new/original and not "splice" or anything else movie related. same with the "blue mohawk" how about a&d creating new characters/roles for this year and years to come, instead of relying on movies to create bits and pieces of the event. the 20th anniversary should be nothing requiring, nor using movies. whats the point of an anniversary if they are using new movies such as "splice" that 5 people have seen, when they can contribute new and exciting ideas to extend through future events. ideas that will pave the way for future HHN's that we will love and enjoy, as well as bitch/complain about.
i know we all share different opinions on what a&d are capable of...yes both good and bad ideas, but thats anything. they have to sell this event and entertain everyone. its not always, nor will it ever be "perfect," but just maybe this year will be something that everyone as a whole can enjoy. us die hard fans can follow every bit and piece and LT event, as well as, the GP understanding what they can fear when coming to HHN.
Look, i know its difficult to speculate on things we know nothing about, while at the same time, i realize we have to respect the fact everyone has their own idea. lets just be patient, and think about the things/ideas we are throwing out there. soon enough, who knows when? we will have, im hoping something to say "yay!" about very soon im sure.
we are all on this forum for the same reason, yes? so be supportive of one and other and the event. lets not tear each other down. we all share a great interest in something amazing. please remember and take advantage of the knowledge we hold over many others. lets enjoy what we've got......
I wish what you said was true, that sounds great, but, the past 4 years I've been to the event had movies, Hell 2007 and 2009 was ALL about movies, Uni will always make movie houses, because Uni is a Movie based park, while i wish they made new houses, (and maybe this year there will be no movie houses) i doubt they'll stop that
And as for using splice, if the wanted to they would do it in a heartbeat, you say 5 people saw it, They did an entire scarezone on a movie that wasn't even out, (and a movie that sucked by the way, Cirque du freak wasn't even a horror movie, it was like a halloween Disney movie) also they made the Wolfman,
I was just simply giving my opinion, I wasn't trying to put anyone down with my comment, to me that movie didn't look good, but Who knows it might be a great movie, I was simply saying that i would like to see a house based on something else besides splice, that was all

It wasn't dumb. It was actually fairly well-made film. It's just that it creeped the FUCK out of me and every single person in the audience. My mom had seen several other audiences leaving in total stone-faced silence. Now we know why.
If anything, a Splice house would be the scariest thing I've ever wandered into.
oh, im kinda curious now, i just didnt like that it kinda remind me of Species and i though the girl looked really bad, but i might see it when it comes to dvd

If there had to be a movie house, I would love a "House of 1000 Corpses" house but this would never happen as the film is outdated and not known outside of the horror community. I feel the closest we will ever get to it is Dungeon of Terror: Retold.
Rob Zombie made that house in Hollywood some years ago, I always wonder how was it, i would have loved to been there

No theme park is good at checking purses and bags. Disney, Universal, Project Graduation at Wet n' Wild, any of them. All security just gives the bag a cursory check. Some of them go all the way to the bottom (don't necessarily check all the pockets and sides, though) and some take literally two seconds. It might just be the person's "image"; my mother hardly looks like the kind carrying a weapon into a theme park, but it's pathetically easy to sneak past the Citywalk guards.
One time, I was taking my friend to her first Rocky showing, and she suddenly remembered that she had accidentally left a knife in her bag. Instead of going all the way back to the car, she stuffed it in the side of her underwear and went through without a problem.

I agree about the parks that barely check and the way you look, at Disney and Sea World they barely checked my backpack, and they didnt have metal detectors, HHN actually has more than all the other parks,
and as for how you look, you reminded me, last year there was this guy with a long coat, i don't know if it was trench coat, but the security took him to the side and made him empty all the pockets, the park opened and i still could see the security checking him, i dont know if they let him in or not,

Orlando is bigger, we get around 7-8 houses Hollywood does 3 mazes I think, i think Hollywood mazes are longer,

I really think they should do a house with the movie Jeepers Creepers, that movie still scares the shit out of me it would be perfect for a haunted house. You can have a room with the church basement where he kept all of his bodies and you can have the diner scene, the part where they were at the jailhouse. Ah it would just be epic! Another house ive always wanted to see is Stephen Kings IT, i think it would be a really cool house and that was my first horror i saw and im still freaked out about clowns lol
Yep that movie is so messed up, i love it, the sequel was so-so, but the first one is so good, the creeper is definitely one of the scariest and most interesting monsters of horror, i would kill for a creepers house, the movie has so many epic moments,it would definitely scare me, just thinking about it gives me chills, lol at the end of the house the jeepers creepers song could be playing
( did you know the first movie was filmed in Florida? interesting fact, when i saw it i always thought those backgrounds looked familiar, and very creepy, specially with the church.
Also they are making jeepers creepers 3, with the girl from the 1st one, im exited about it)
Stephen King, yeah a lot of people agree, i think they should do a house with all his movies, each room for each movie.

ok I just saw the movie Pandorum
and I have to say, this movie is Perfect for a house at HHN, if you haven't seen the movie, is like event horizon or Alien but with the Descent monsters instead of aliens, The sets looked just like that awful interstellar terror house of 08, and this movie is 10 times better than Event Horizon, also the creatures are right up HHN's alley sort of speak, i don't know if much people didn't like the movie or not, but i think it could be a good house, I was expecting something like this when i heard of interstellar terror, if that house had monsters like in Pandorum it would have been easily the scariest house of 08,

there was a Jason scareactor in a second floor in 07, that one of the highlights of that house that year, my favorite part of the house

They audition for stilt walkers every year. There were stilt walkers in the Cirque Du Freak last year & in various other places the year before. Every time Universal has an audition for some event whether it be HHN, Mardi Gras or Macy's, they ask for stilt walkers...
yep, in 2008 in wizard of oz the scarecrow and another scareactor had stilts, the scarecrow would jump around or walk fast in them, i remember thinking, "Wow how does he do that?"
the "20 years of fear" also works for me, i like it,
i keep thinking about this thread and about the reunion and reusing houses, and i'm thinking, it's not even a good idea if they bring back a bunch of houses and scarezones from the past because i could see people going "didn't they do this in 06?" or "this is old" I could see the general public making a fuzz about it, i dont know maybe I'm wrong, but just a thought

Just to add, there is a lot of violence that could easily escalate to something deadly if the metal detectors weren't implemented. When I worked Mummy at HHN '08, we had at least one fight in our queue every 2 days, sometimes 2-3 a night. I had to hold two girls back from throwing each other in the ride track at port unload at Mummy for a couple of minutes while security ran up to get them. Though most fights happened in the dig site (the room where you go up the stairs to the load platform, with the hanging Anubis statue) and it's incredibly hard for security to get through there in a timely manner. I've seen tons of people escorted out with bloody faces and broken noses. And that's just at one attraction.
After the fight with the 2 females, I had to go down to processing and write a witness statement and explain what happened, and there was a LINE of people in handcuffs. Most was for fighting, but some were for stealing or trespassing. There's a lot of violence at HHN. I've seen it first hand on more occasions then I can count on both hands. I couldn't imagine what the outcome of some of these fights would've been if people could smuggle weapons into the park.
Really! I would anyone fight in the Mummy queue?? makes no sense, I mean if people jump in line, is that enough for a fight? i can't believe what you wrote, i would really love to go to each person that fights and ask them why would they fight there, i just cant see it

So I went to Chad and Kelly's wedding last night, which was three hours away from me in Anna Maria Island, FL.
I am SO jealous. Also that they played the Saw theme at their wedding! XD I'm so inspired.. lol.
i dont know why but that Just looks so delicious, best cake i've ever seen,
I wish for my Wedding i could get a Living Dead Dolls cake
or horror cake, maybe a HHN themed or a wolfman themed cake lol

The guy verbably attacked a scareactor(girl) in Hacktion. One of the guys told the kid to calm down and walk away. The guy wouldn't back down and continued to threaten both of them this time. The cop overheard and stepped in. The guy started getting in the cops face and wouldn't back down. Something happened and he was tased however he got up and ran towards Horrorwood and got tased again.
wow, that must have been quite a sight, i kinda wish i saw that, I wonder why was the guy so angry, Why on Earth would someone do this,
I remember in Cirque du freak there was a woman and her daughter, and a vampire scareactor girl kept trying to scare them, and the woman got So angry at her and started to yell at the girl, i was like ???

I know, for me this is the best world cup ever, First France goes, then Italy, then Brazil ( which i could not believe and i was really excited about) and now Argentina, that was just shocking, i couldn't believe it, i really don't know who to go for, but i'm just glad that is anyone's game now
