HHN 24 Event Photos and Videos

Admittedly, I check the forums three to four times a week and play catch up instead of several times a day, so I'm sorry if this was posted and I overlooked it. I haven't noticed anybody post about how the "Big" in the "Big Spot" is covered under a black tarp. They showed us that on the UTH tour on Sept 20. I don't go through TWD as much as other houses, but when I went on Friday the 3rd, I noticed that the black tarp is still covering the "Big."

HHN 24 Event Photos and Videos

Thank you to the scareactor in the Purge that is always willing to pose for me. Also, a security guard in Maskeraid was going around telling people not to use flash. Is Universal starting this all over again, or just an individual on a power trip? -
I think it's a great idea. I'd like to see how they turn out when we are on the UTH tour ;-)

Tickets, Pricing, and General Event Operation Questions
hhnholdem replied to JDW's topic in Halloween Horror Nights 24
Every year I use my annual pass to do the AP party then the stay and scream for the rest of the month (mainly to avoid the slow lines at the metal detectors). I was just wondering if they do the biometric fingerprint scans for the multi night event tickets such as Rush of Fear and Frequent Fear. -
It probably won't happen, but since the ice bucket challenge is all over the place, it would be cool to see Bill and Ted get soaked with ice water after they "dance for no reason." I'm sure it would be refreshing for the actors since they are all hot and sweaty, but I don't know how the microphones would hold up after four to five times a night for the entire run of the event.

I'm hoping that they have that cabin that Beth and Daryl set on fire. I just want an excuse to raise my middle finger high in the air.

Halloween Horror Nights 24 Speculation
hhnholdem replied to UniversalStudiosGeek's topic in Halloween Horror Nights 24
My first thought reminded me of the discussion we had here a while back about Charlie Splitfoot and the Fox Sisters. My second thought is that since A&D reads these posts, the mention of Charlie Splitfoot would be a red herring. After all, if I end up solving a code name, then it's too darn easy -
Just like last year's Paula Deen, could we see Donald Sterling?
-
I think it sounds good but would be poorly executed. I lost faith in HHN's use of RFID technology. In 2012 when the scanners didn't work I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was brand new. When I heard Horror Unearthed was coming back in 2013 I thought they would have learned from their previous mistakes. However, I was disappointed that for a second year in a row the scanners didn't work. Nothing is worse than having to do eight houses in order and the second or third one didn't scan (sorry, you're out of luck, but thanks for using your express pass. Now you can wait in a two hour line for a less than average house.) I would say that maybe I would purchase something like your idea the second year around if there were no complaints after the first year.

HHN blinking cups
hhnholdem replied to hhnholdem's topic in General Halloween Horror Nights - Orlando
Thanks. I never really looked close enough at the battery compartment but it's good to know that your 2007 still works. -
I just wanted to know if anybody knows what happens when those blinking cups sold at the bars stop blinking. Is the battery compartment easily accessible or are you just out of luck?

Halloween Horror Nights 24 Speculation
hhnholdem replied to UniversalStudiosGeek's topic in Halloween Horror Nights 24
Catacombs has been mentioned several times, and I agree. I have a theory, though. On this season of The Walking Dead there is a flu that is going around and killing people. So, if HHN does another Catacombs it makes the fans happy because there is no more TWD and it makes the general public happy because they will think it's Walking Dead anyway. -
I used my express pass and didn't get to see the entire queue video, but the part I saw said General Keels office. Shouldn't it be General Keel's office? I'm not the grammar police, but, to me, it stood out like a sore thumb.

Drinks & Conversations [Pre-HHN23]
hhnholdem replied to Brandon's topic in Halloween Horror Nights 23
I made it at 6:40 and didn't see anybody. Then I saw Brandon's message about being there at 8ish. I tried to post that I will be back after the park closes at 8:30, but I couldn't get an internet connection on my phone worth anything. So, I made it back by 8:40 and still didn't see anybody. Oh well, I'll get the chance to meet a whole lot of you guys during the next month. -

The 14th sounds good. I would only be able to make it on a Saturday, and the 14th fits. -
Legendary Truth - The Collective 2013
hhnholdem replied to Mark M.'s topic in Legendary Truth: The Collective
I haven't received an email either. ...but like your situation, my wife got hers. -
The following is wishful thinking, but wishful thinking as it relates to CITW: 1) I want them to utilize a two way mirror effect: there was a two way mirror when the college kids first arrived at the cabin and went to their separate rooms. 2) If we walk through the control room, I want them to do something like they did in Saw in 2009 where you were filmed and could see yourself on the television screens. 3) If we walk through the control room, I want many buttons displayed and similar to Penn and Teller's house I want some of the buttons to be guest activated triggers.
