  1. But it takes 3 to bust doesn't it? 0.0 In all matters though, I am really excited about that statement too. I am not sure if Uni has done a multiple icon year (besides, of course Homecoming, Sweet Sixteen and 20 Years of Fear, but those were reunion-type years). It will be interesting to see how Uni could deal with this, and how it compares/contrasts to the Raven Twins concept of HoS.
  2. What if instead of "Arrested Dead", aristo dead meant dead aristocrat? Wouldn't that fit in the gambling theme? "In the United States and other nations without a history of a hereditary military caste, aristocracy has taken on a more stylized, as opposed to literal, meaning, referring as it does to the ruling class in general, and especially old money." - Wikipedia By old money, they are referring to someone/a family who has maintained a large amount of wealth over familial generations. I don't know, but it could be that this Aristo Dead character was someone who bet everything, all he/she had. Just seemed fitting to me.
  3. Hehe, i enjoyed these a lot... yeah. But anyways, to more speculation. I am not sure what to think about LT. It seems to me that whenever we had a year with a theme that had history behind it, (BM- 1958-2008, The Usher and the Palace Theatre, and the history of the icons last year and Fear) LT had been included. I think because we have another old-timey 20's feel, LT would be back to investigate or something. Also, i see many people talking about heaven and hell, and the word Himmel. All I can think about are the representatives for LT. Please correct me if I am wrong, but i thought the girl's last name was Himmel, and I know that there was a representative named Gabriel Fell, which has both allusions to heaven (gabriel) and demons (fell). I don't recall them being used too much last year except for that facebook episode; so, maybe we will learn more about them this year or in years to come...?
  4. To me it seems like Disaster Que is like some twisted tale from the forest. I don't know but when I see dwarf and the Names, I just feel like it could be set in wilderness
  5. Regarding the Spanish house, could it be possible that "La Llorona" might be in it? I know they copied her image off of Mary, but is it still a possibility? I'm not sure how well received it was at Hollywood...
  6. Just for the record, I was not intending that the speculation based on the appearance of the Queen of Spades would result in the idea that Chance would be back. Just like you JW, I would probably be the most displeased person at the event if Chance was back; it is nonsensical to be both out with the old, and then to bring back a character no matter its significance. I was merely stating that the Queen of Spades has a peculiar, atypical appearance and that THAT is worth attention, not Chance... haha. Uni and A&D, as we know, have an extremely acute attention to detail, and anything that seems out of the ordinary in plain view, is intended to be. The real question is, "why"?
  7. I think that is something we really should look into. I have never seen an Ace with a skull on it, but that probably exists. But to have the Queen of Spades with a dagger is peculiar. Here's a cool little idea. The only cards in a deck holding a dagger would be the king. What if the Queen killed her husband? The knife being evidence of murder and the taking over of position... Maybe she was a murderer who wanted her husbands things, "greedy". Perfect for gambling... I dunno I was just thinking randomly. But has anyone ever thought of "death" as a female figure? Universal would be the one to pull that off haha. Upon closer inspection I will note that the Queen also has red hair, which is atypical and she has a grim smirk as well, as if she has pressed her luck. I would link a picture, but I am not apt with computers. Please go ahead and look at the Queen yourself, she just doesn't look like the typical Queen. Hopefully there is some significance to this.
  8. The two things i got from the website are this.... I don't know why, but I want to think that there will be a RUN style house.... Gambling your life, and such. Game Show-y kind of thing. I think our "dealer" would be a dealer of death. I am thinking death personified, like in Harry Potter, the deathly hollows, Death is cunning and tricks people into death. i think the dealer would be like this. Unless its a maniacal person like Two Face, that would be awesome too. Leaving EVERYTHING to chance, and stuff. Those are just my 2 cents.
  9. My thoughts exactly. It, of course, is a BIG "if", but what IF this refers to an extreme Vegas House... IDK that would compel a lot of people. Make the iconic house the extreme house LOL.
  10. I I am thinking that our icon will be the dealer of death... like the grim reaper-esque kind of character... I LOVE this update. Can't wait to see how things turn out.
  11. When did the Hollywood site update to the very generic page for HHN? I find it funny how that site is getting a little more action than Orlando... lol. Anyways I am sure we will get something very soon.
  12. Just wondering, are they planning to have open ceiling plans again for the houses? I would love it if they went back to closed ceilings (they did that, I think) because I found the open ceilings quite distracting and they take away from the overall atmosphere; LT house had open ceilings.... In a house....'it just didn't work- I could see the stage lights and everything. I just hope they can consider closing off ceilings where appropriate. Tell me, did this only occur in soundstage houses, or all houses?
  13. I agree. And I checked the video out, those projections are quite extraordinary. I believe this would be a great investment for Uni because it adds some aspects that are very difficult to do with construction outside of houses and zones, and just as you said, the front arches. This would be.a great addition/replacement to the projections on the orbs and buildings already in the park!
  14. In all honesty, I think a Jekyll Hyde icon would be FANTASTIC. with a revamp like what was done to frank/drac/wolfman and even Mary. More steampunk but EXTREMELY dark and malevolent. Creepy, like almost too nice, then insane mood swing into a terrorizing creature. That would rock my world. Split personality disorder on an icon would be a cool effect, especially if that was represented in a house. Great, you've gone and gotten me very excited.....
  15. I think the best thing Universal could do would be to take something from an urban tale and twist it in to something of their own. HHN 18 had so much success because the icon was publicly recognized already. Universal is extremely creative, so taking another legend and making it horrifying wouldn't be impossible if they could surpass the legality issues. For instance, the boogeyman could be terrifying if done right... Just my two cents
  16. So we all know that this is mad speculation time, where most things speculated are nonsense. Therefore, it is my duty to ALSO add some useless, if not, predictable Speculation. Someone mentioned earlier that 7X7 could mean 7 houses and scarezones, while someone else mentioned that 7X7 could represent Bloody Mary because of seven years of bad luck for breaking a mirror. Well, what if it is both: 7- Houses 7- Scarezones 7- Years of Bad Luck 7- Mary is our last icon of the main seven: 1) Jack 2) Caretaker 3) Director 4) Story teller 5) Usher 6) Fear 7) Mary Agana Of course, I am expecting people to claim that it is too early for me to speculate on anything, as always. But I just wanted to let off some steam. I am in anxiety waiting for this years event only because I am very worried about it.
  17. As long as the large house isn't as empty as some of the houses this past year, I will be happy. I hate saying this, but I have a HUGE problem with houses and zones that were very underpopulated this year.... Some were great, but others just had nobody.
  18. This is exactly what I was thinking. But I am not sure if adding those scarezones is the healthiest thing the event can do. This would spread more people out and we would have an overall less amount of people per scarezone, unless, of course, they will provide the event with more scareactors. On the bright side, 7 scarezones means less "dead zones", something that I have always hoped for.
  19. The one thing I would like to see is more scareactors. 'the reason why I found HHN20 such a let down was because everything seemed empty. When I went thought catacombs, there was, no lie, 5 people that I saw. Maybe I was just unfortunate to get most of the houses during an actor change, but 1/2 the houses were empty when I walked in. The streets seemed empty too. Especially zombie GRAS and the coven. I think that more actors would be a huge improvement, and I can only hope that this is possible.
  20. Hey guys, I am going to HHN tonight. If you see anyone with the HHN 18 shirt and black skinny jeans, make sure to give then some extra scares! Thanks!
  21. The Asylum in Wonderland Was Pretty bright. Come to think of it, so was Apocalypse from last year... Or at least from what I remember. Not that the scarezones are REALLY BRIGHT, but these zones seem much darker, like some seem pitch black.
  22. Alright, Now I know this question is a little bit stupid,'but.... From what I remember of HHN, the scarezones used to have much more lighting.... The photos of this year seem Much darker. Is this true? Because if so, I think that's awesome.
  23. So we have an OFFICIAL mention of Mary Agana... she is not forgotten. This makes me happy beyond belief. Unfortunately it is for a select date, but I think she will be present during the main event as well right?
  24. I finished it in one shot yesterday around 3 pm. The end result was identical, except for all the attempts being green number ones. I was hoping for something new, like a message or a picture, but nothing.
