That Jay-Z song about auto-tune is D.O.A. Death of auto-tune. Good song I wish it would have been the death of auto-tune. Everyone sounds the same, whatever happened to real music. You need to start slapping people when they come into the studio thinking that crap makes them sound better. As for my speculation... what about the UFC maybe have a drunk Chuck Liddell (no offense I am a fan) in there to get knocked out or something. I don't know if it is as big in Florida as it is here in Pennsylvania but anything cage fighting would be great.

Man I guarantee you people would go ape sh*t for HHN figures especially if their limited edition and only so many made. Could you imagine them being made by like NECA, I would kill for Jack figure I have a mini collection of horror figures already and the idea of that just kicks ass.
You have read my mind. They would be highly collectible esp. with only 500 - 1000 produced.

if this is our definite last year for the icons, then we should be getting like, HHN icon action figures, HHN icon halloween costumes, etc....... a total whore-out of the 6 icons LMAO might as well go out with a bang. and who knows maybe they will be back in the distant future lol. or maybe they will actually make a big budget film based on them.
Ha Ha I would actually like to see action figures and costumes of the icons. A big budget film as crazy as it sounds is a possibility in the future considering we are dealing with universal.

Stairs in a house has happened before. HHN15 Where Evil Hides, a Soundstage house, had an upstairs portion. They build a section that is ADA compliant for those that are in wheelchairs or can not use stairs.
I can not recall all the other details about it but there were other things in place to make this work as well.
I was the one who posted about the 2 story house and it was removed due to me being clueless about the source and I use the word source loosely (thanks yet again to MZ_ and Jacklover for filling me in). Having said that I don't even know if I like the idea of a 2 story house. Wouldn't it back up lines even more? I do know locally here in Pennsylvania there is a place called the haunted mill that is 2 stories. It works very well here but it does not get nearly as crowded as HHN. It is also based in an old mill that is naturally 2 stories. I honestly think universal could spend the money on other things instead of building a second story in a soundstage. I know last year certain places felt like they were understaffed. I hope this year I don't have that feeling.

Survey is mostly about a Stay & Scream type of ticket that includes Islands of Adventure and then crossing over to the studios for HHN...
Just thought I would share it...
I got that survey also. They asked a few questions about a themed pre event dinner and a post event thing too. Does this intrigue anyone else? I think it would be really cool if you could go get dinner and drinks with other HHN fans. It could also be a cool photo op if they brought out a few scareactors for photos. I think it could be a good way to get to know other HHN fans and get pics with icons. Does anyone have any thoughts on that? Also has anyone heard anything about the pricing on the FFP with express option price? I am trying to plan my trip and want to see how much extra that is going to be.

I just don't see most of the things that are labeled in the lantern. Maybe I am not creative enough or just not looking hard enough but I see the XX for 20. I see that the handle does look like the poster that was posted but other than that I can't see much.

UO would have to pay a lot of money to regain the rights to use NOES again, but I doubt it because they are not doing any movie houses. It seems like all houses this year are all going to be original and not going to be using re-hashed ideas.
Well... there is Nightmare. He hasn't been used since 2002.
I never said there would be a noes house, I said that part of the house could have to do with noes. I am just using the clues we have to go on. I for one would like it if they didn't have any houses that had anything to do with movies. At least movies we have already seen done. As for nightmare the demon I think we will see him for sure since he was featured on the teaser site. At least that is what I am hoping since to me he is one of the coolest characters I have ever seen at hhn and is currently the background on my desktop.

Straight from HHNRumors.com a new role update "UPDATE: Nightmare Man #3 - Jaws" this along with the 2 other roles we already know "Valedictorian- Jaws" and "Bed Clothes - Jaws". With these three roles for this one house I'm starting to think NOES. Also the way they are named makes me think these are possibly code names.
As soon as I saw nightmare man #3 I thought of noes. It does appear that at least some of that house will be noes considering the 3 roles we know and the burnt wood.

If the FFP with express is under 150 I will be getting that option. I can only go 3 nights so either way if its under 150 it is a bargain to me.

I am not the type of guy who looks for clue's in everything, I leave that up to everyone else but I really like the videos on the updated page. It just reminds me of some great times and lets me see some of the years I missed. I do find it odd though that Bloody Mary is barely mentioned. Maybe the copyright stuff was true.

Finally... I like the update. It seems really different from years past which to me is a good thing. I like the FFP plus and the FFP with express access alot. I may have to go with the express access option since I will only be able to make it 3 times this year.

I too am waiting for the update considering it is only 80 days away. The line twenty years of fear is great. It's catchy and they could do alot with it. I have said this a few times but I have faith in uni to give us all the event we expect from them. I may be disappointed with who the icon is (if there is just one icon) but I know I will have a great time either way.

I think we all sometimes forget that Uni does this event for the general public. Sometimes what we as hardcore followers of HHN forget to realize is that what we want may not matter as much as what the general public matter. The people on this forum are going to HHN no matter what, the general public may be more inclined to spend 75 dollars if they like the overall theme. I for one can tell you walking through the shadows of the past scarezone last year the general public loves jack for some reason. I think the wedding is a valid idea but I would like to see something different. That being said I trust in universal to hit a home run with this year since it is a special anniversary year.

And as I stated, IOA isn't exactly a blank slate with the heavily themed islands. At the Studios, many of the streets and storefronts could be "Anywhere in the World" so to speak. I would tend to think it would be much easier to create scarezones with a blank slate than try to incorporate them into an already heavily themed area.
Oh and again...it's tradition.
I agree completely, IOA is too "themed" to have a blank slate to start with. I was at HHN 13 at IOA and in my opinion the studios provides a better overall feel for the event. With the themes of the areas in the studios you can turn the streets into whatever you want them to be and your right it's tradition and in my opinion you just don't mess with tradition.

Thanks for the desktop. To everyone talking about the people from the other forum please don't lump us all into one group. I just like these boards for the information/speculation and for getting to know some like minded people. All I ask is that you all give me a fair shot at becoming part of the "group" here at HNN.

Just wondering, has this "generic website" ever been put up before? Or do you think it was just made to cover up a few more days for the real update?
Also, I hope I am not getting TOO far into a generic site, but it says "a new era of darkness begins", could this mean that they are creating new themes for this year? Just wondering.
I was wondering the same thing about a new era of darkness begins. I wonder if 20 is the last time we will see the older icon's and characters. Other than that it is just a basic teaser site. It did get my ass in gear and I booked my flight and room. I will be in town from September 29th to October 10th. What is the general crowd like those days? I don't just mean for hhn I mean all day. It is the first time I will be down early in October I usually go for the week of Halloween.

Wow I am sorry that your school doesn't teach mythology. It was actually one part of school I liked other than gym class. That is saying something about it since I hated school and felt I was just there to play sports at that time. Seriously though look into some of the stories you will find them interesting.

Like I'm not trying to lessen what everyone is saying but HHN also focuses on us young teens and if the event was all mythology and stuff we wouldn't be very excited to go. Like if I told my friends hey this year is gonna be about Hades and Zeus etc they would laugh and say no way are we going. Don't get me wrong I like what everyone is speculating on but don't forget about all of the high schoolers and college kids that go.`Goes back to lurking...
I don't mean to insult you at all but what do they teach in school's these days? Your friends really wouldn't go if it had to do with mythology? That's sad there are some great stories there that could be turned into some evil houses/scare zones. I guess if your friends really wouldn't go because of that it means you should get a few new friends. I will say less teens to deal with in line making stupid comments would be a good thing for most people. Even though I am sure that the kid's there just to be dumb would still go. I also think you may be selling the college crowd short on 2 points. The first is they are just there to drink and have a good time and I don't know how much the overall theme of the event plays into them going. The second is college kid's should know about mythology and know that there are some good stories to be told. It is just my opinion but I like the idea because there are a lot of directions this could go. Besides having one house about mythology does not mean the entire event will be based on it since I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that this is a reunion year of some sorts.

No it wont be, HOWEVER RHPS might be from what Ive heard.
Just out of curiosity if RHPS is in the Terminator building does that open the Beetlejuice stage for another show or will it be empty like the animal show stage last year? I only wonder because it would be cool to have a show with all of the icons and maybe explain their back stories for the people who don't know the story's.

Ok I will give you that one. It was funny but it wasn't supposed to be a serious top 40 type song. I was talking about the fact that it seems everyone in the top 40 except a few people use it on every song.
