I think they have to be black lights. This is going to be a very blacklight heavy scarezone and adding regular lights above it will ruin that effect.

I am very very impressed with Esqueleto Muerte so far. To be honest this scarezone didn't really intrigue me very much when first hearing about it, but now that I see the approach they are taking with it I am very very excited for this one.

I never participated in the Legendary Truth in 2008 and this seems very interesting. I don't expect anyone to go out of their way to explain it to me but is it too late to get involved? Aside from this thread and the facebook page, what else do I need to keep a watch on?

..no but really, I liked Leave it to Cleaver last year, I was laughing the entire time but my friend was paying no attention and screaming her head off.

I don't know which Publix you called, but if it's the one I work at you're out of luck, I'm taking the display home after the event I saved this year's Mardi Gras display right before it was about to get sent to the cardboard compactor. Our store doesn't even have our up yet though. I see the box sitting in the back, but we are waiting to get the tickets, because until we get the tickets it is pointless to have the display.

Catacombs. Black Death Rising. This house will be terrifying, hopefully. Ever since I saw a show on tv as a little kid, even the word "catacombs" has scared me. I have found the clip from that show: Part 1: Part 2:

Probably Saws n Steam, even though I think it has a stupid name and the backstory seems silly, I like the description of the setting, and I really hope that this is a chainsaw zone. Zombie Gras sounds more fun than scary. I'm interested in Fear Revealed and 20 Years of Fear also.

1. Horror Nights: The Hallow'd Past (The artwork for this, and the fact that it's going to be in the Parade Building make me excited for it) 2. Hades: The Gates of Ruin (Just looks amazing and badass.) 3. PsychoScareapy: Echoes of Shadybrook ( think ghosts and paranormal things are very scary) 4. Catacombs: Black Death Rising (Catacombs are just terrifying. I hope that this is a verk dark house.) 5. Legendary Truth: The Wyandot Estate (This house makes me excited for Legendary Truth and now I may participate more this year) 6. The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes (I can't wait to see my friend working in this house ) 7. ZombieGeddon (I hope this house has some some ZombieLand/L4D references like we are speculating) 8. Havoc: Dogs of War (Not really sure what to think of this yet. I'm almost positive that it won't be in last place once I do all of these houses, but for now I'm anticipating it the least.)

To anyone who has seen his show in the past: Do you remember him doing meet and greets after his shows? For some reason I remember hearing about him doing a book signing or something. I'm a nerd for this but it would be cool to meet him and say hi since I'm a fan of his podcast on TWiT and his show on revision3

Here are two wallpapers I've made. Both are 1920 x 1080. If you would like a different resolution, I can do it fairly easily and upload one just for you (As long as it's not too small). This first one has all the houses and the scarezones, but I feel that it looks too cluttered. This ones has just the houses. I'm using it as my wallpaper right now. I'm going to make some more changes to the second one later or maybe in a few days and upload that one also. (Sorry about the double posting)

I really wish I could go, I don't think I'll have the time to, unless I get a chance to go on closing Saturday. It's not likely though :/

Sure, I can get started on that now. I'm currently working on my really elaborate one, which is going to be 1920 x 1080, but once that one is made I will move some things around and upload it in a few sizes as well.

This is my first year following the site updates, speculation, and the countdown to the full site reveal. It has been so much fun! I am very impressed by the ability of others to figure out so much about the houses before they were announced. This year looks like it is going to be absolutely fantastic. This will only be my second year attending, by I can at least say that this year looks WAY better than last year did. I'm super excited to be going on opening weekend this time as opposed to late October, so much less of the event will be spoiled for me. Now I guess I'll give my thoughts on the houses and Scarezones (I'm stealing your idea Jacob ) Houses: Catacombs: I love the idea behind this, now I just hope it is executed right. If this were going to be a soundstage house then it would be my most anticipated house. Catacombs freak me out. Even the name scares me. I loved walking slowly through the catacombs in old Dueling Dragons queue imagining what it would be like as a haunted house. Hopefully now I will get to find out. Hades: This house has huge potential. One of the ones I'm looking forward to the most. I love the logo for this one too. Horror Nights The Hallow'd Past: This is probably my most anticipated house. It wasn't before, but now that I know that it's in the parade building, I'm really excited for it. That cloaked figure looks super creepy too. Havoc Dogs of War: I'm expecting this to be an exciting house more than a scary house, for me at least. I never experienced Maximum Carnage, but for some reason this house makes me think of it. Zombiegeddon: Probably our "dark humor house" as everyone else is guessing. I have heard some compare it to the movie Zombieland, but I also think that there may be several references the to video game Left 4 Dead in it. When I looked at the leaked picture of the house's layout, most of the room names were also names of levels in Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Also, the Gun store reminds me of the gun store in one of the levels in L4D2, and the break room might be a reference to one of the safe rooms throughout the game. Keep in mind, even if an idea seems to be original A&D always may have taken inspiration from somewhere else. Legendary Truth: I wasn't planning on getting into legendary Truth too much this year, since I will only be going to the event for 3 nights, but now that an entire house has been devoted to it, I am definitely going to participate more. Psychoscarepy: I don't know much about the original house and I never had the chance to experience it, but I've always loved the name. Can't wait for this house, since it's in a soundstage too. Orfanage: I think it's cool that they are going to do a Cindy house. I'm probably doing this house first, to avoid the lines later on. I hope it's as good as Saw was last year, and not as popular Scarezones: The Coven: Simply based off of the picture for this scarezone it reminds me of the pictures from Harvest of Souls from HHN 16. I don't have much else to say. Zombie Gras: The concept doesn't interest me too much but I'm sure this will be a fun one to go through with my friends this year. Saws 'N Steam: YES YES YES! A Chainsaw zone? I hope! The story sounds kind of unrealistic (is killing people for their blood really the easiest way to get water?) but the description of the setting sounds awesome (Enormous trenches have opened in the earth's crust below it's vast oceans, exposing them to intense heat) Esqueleto Muerte: "Dead Skeleton"??? lmao. This makes me think of the "Day of the Dead" tradition that is celebrated in Mexico, but I think there is more to it. Fear Revealed: HHN: 20 Years of Fear: I think these last two scarezones may tie in to each other somewhat. Fear Revealed will be an icon scarezone and HHN: 20 Years of Fear will be the reunion scarezone with our past icons. Chaos, Death, Sacrifice, Mythos, and Vengeance all tie into Jack, the Caretaker, The Director, the Storyteller, and The Usher, so I think we may have an overlapping theme this year that ties everything together.

Now that this year's Attractions have been revealed, a lot of new artwork in now available for me to create things with. If you are a scareactor and would like me to make you a customized sig or avatar themed to your house or Scarezone, post a request in this thread or private message me! Here is an example of one that I already made by request last night: I typically also include your username in a signature, but it was left out of that one by the member's request (not to remain anonymous, just for aesthetic reasons). I am also working on another wallpaper, this one will include all of logos for the houses and scarezones, as well as some of the artwork and pictures that have been released so far. This wallpaper will most likely be much more elaborate than the two that I have made previously.

This is an example of a perfect sig request. I like making elaborate sigs and unless I start getting tons of requests, I will continue to make them this way.
