  1. Sylvia, What a very interesting find!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
  2. Jeramy, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these ideas!!! I'm always impressed by everyone's creativity when it comes to thinking of these new concepts for each year...now if we could only get Uni to use them...LOL
  3. Someone else who loves "Nightmare Before Christmas" as much as I do! <3 Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time and one you can watch year round to keep that Halloween spirit going! Hope all is well with you sweetie, have a great day!

  4. Just another reason for us to come hang with you all again this year...we prefer vodka drinks ourselves. I found myself drinking a lot of cherry flavored vodka with sprite last year...LOL (Patron shots for the win!)
  5. Jim, I hope we get to see you all this year! (Good luck with the job search sweetie!) Laz, Bro, puhlease...you know we's saving you a space! As if you had to remind me...Eric said he'd personally patrol the aforementioned saved space and if anyone tried to jack it, that'd be it... I can't imagine not sharing HHN with you!
  6. Random speculation that just came to me: 1. Will the specialty drinks for HHN 20 be the same thing as they were at 19? (It's as if they bought a ton of the same mix...because didn't the drinks at 19 remind you a great deal of the ones at 18? LOL) 2. What will the speciality drink look like this year? (We know for a fact they will light up in some way...that's a given at this point I think...LOL) 3. Is it wrong I'm speculating about the alochol portion of the event already? (Since this is the one time a year we go out and party? LOL)
  7. BV and JW, You know how much I love to organize a good get together...LOL We'll definitely make sure we get together before and during the actual event so all of us get to see one another! I'm just happy so many people are game for it, I really think that we have a wonderful group of folks here...thanks again to Mark and Jenn for providing us all with an absolutely amazing home to gather at!
  8. As usual Laz, simply amazing! Bravo!!!
  9. Now THAT would be a great concept and would allow Cindy the chance to be the icon/host...but still leave the door open for previous icons to join her. Good call!
  10. I'm with you there Mark, I was not a fan of 2004 at all. But in addition, I didn't remotely enjoy 2002 or 2003 at IOA. I'm a HHN purist at heart and for me the event is all about the studios. I'm just the opposite in the ambiance department, I think IOA has no ambiance what so ever for this event in particular, for me the environment at the studios really lends itself to HHN. At IOA it was very hard for me personally to get past the theme of each island and enjoy the HHN aspect of each area. I do agree that IOA would be a goldmind for hosting a kids Halloween event of some sort; that's one area I feel that Universal is missing the mark on.
  11. We can easily arrange a time/place to all meet up in the park later in the evening as well! It would be wonderful to get a group photo of everyone with their shirts on!
  12. You know I wholeheartedly agree with you there! While I love Jack and think he is a great character, it would be nice for the 20th anniversary to see a brand new icon and breath a little new life into the event.
  13. Sylvia, It's definitely tastiful! (My new favorite word...LOL) They've got a nice mix of authentic Jamaican food, wonderful atmosphere and best of all, they have great prices! (And of course, amazing reggae tunes to boot!)
  14. Just wanted to throw this idea out there, what would everyone think about having a little get together opening night this year? We did this over at the other site we shalt not speak of, I think it would be a nice little tradition to start here at our new home! (Where everyone seems normal and not psycho...LOL) It would be a great chance for all the members here to get together, those who don't know one another meet, those of us who do know one another, catch up and for us all to basically have a good time! (And get some photos of our sure to be kick ass HNN t-shirts!) I've found that Bob Marley's tends to be a great place for opening night, not crowded, great food and prices, nice open restaurant where we can all be loud, obnoxious and start the night off with some food, drinks and great conversation! Give me your insight, let me know what ya think! I know it's early, but in my book it's NEVER too early to plan a good party!
  15. I'd gladly take an evil child over the evil clown concept this year...LOL

    Reaper's Art

GREAT job Reaper! Keep 'em coming!
  17. Those are some impressive collections people! After attending for going on 20 years, you'd think I'd have kept some things...LOL I do believe all I own is a shirt, two blinkie cups, some coins and beads from the parades and well, the pictures we've taken. I've thrown out all the maps and other things (even shot glasses...gasp!) because we just don't have the room for it. Those of you who have these amazing collections, kudos to you! (And I'm jealous anyone has that kind of extra room in their house!)
  18. I would gladly take the Caretaker or Cindy; but I seriously don't know if I could deal with Jack being the icon again. Sure he's an easy marketing gimmick, but he's worn out his welcome in my world. The whole "I'm an insane clown and I'll kill you" schtick is something that gets old very quickly...yeah Jack, we get it. Having Cindy as the icon, I think that would satisfy many longtime HHN fans...
  19. Jeramy, I have to agree with Dinah I think the Queen of Hearts is my favorite as well! That costume was just beautifully done and you have done an amazing job capturing it. The Cindy piece is fantastic too, I like the combination of her on the toadstools, kind of a "wonderland" goes evil feel to it. Per usual, you and Laz never cease to amaze me!
  20. Mark, I think your spot on with your guesstimate of the dates. The event historically begins the last weekend of September, changing that would be an abomination of sorts! LOL It would be nice to get a Halloween thrown in for good measure this year...because there's something about attending HHN on Halloween night that makes it extra special.
  21. Dinah, It sounds like you caught the HHN bug that year! That was a good first year to experience the event too!
  22. Treaks and Foons was a fantastic scare zone! I too would love to see that one return, it was just plan fun to walk around in...albeit when you left there you were a bit worse for wear than when you arrived...LOL I remember you had to be very careful walking through there if you didn't have good solid soled shoes on, because those bubbles could get slippery! I'm a fan of the Gentlemen as well, so I too would love to see them make a return visit in some way, shape or form.
  23. Midway of the Bizarre 2004 and 2007 = Remember during the original dense fog days of Midway of the Bizarre you would hear those blood curdling screams across the lake because people literally couldn't see what was ahead of them...ah, that was classic. Every trip through that scare zone was like a new adventure! If the new version of dense fog is what we witnessed in "Containment" I think you and I will have to sneak in our own supply of fog to supplement it...LOL
  24. Exactly! Old school in Amity with the fog so thick you can't see a foot in front of you...
  25. House wise, I'd love to see a revisit to Screamhouse...just because that's how I roll. Other that come to mind would be the S.S. Frightanic, Demon Cantina, the original People Under the Stairs (done on a soundstage, not in a free standing house)...those are the four I'd love to see return in some way, shape or form. Preferably in all their former original glory with a few upgrades for the anniversary year! Scarezone wise, the old original Midway of the Bizarre, Field of Screams, Harvest of the Souls...those are my top three hands down.
