  1. This house alone would make me a very happy camper...
  2. It's about time you joined! We're in the same boat, I've been out of work since December and I'm just hoping that I find something in time to save up in time to be able to attend. Hoping the same good fortune falls upon you as well sweetie!
  3. For me 16's reunion theme was fantastic, simply because it was a chance to take a look back at the icons from so many previous years...very nostaglic and a nice way to see how the event and the concepts had evolved over the course of so many years. This year, I would love to see something along the same lines with some newer ideas thrown in for good measure. After attending this event for 20 years, it would be really cool to see some "blasts from the pasts" so to speak in terms of characters, houses and scarezones. As the saying goes, with enough time, everything that old is eventually new once again!
  4. I can't remember, but didn't they use some of the floats from that year as props for the "one large parkwide scarezone" concept? (Which failed miserably to boot...LOL) Like you, all the years run together for me...after attending for almost 20 years, I do good to differentiate one year from the next anymore!
  5. You most certainly won't be ignored sweetheart, I can guarantee that!
  6. Ask anyone here who knows me...I'll get you to join in on the conversations, you won't have a choice...LOL
  7. I'd rather not think about how much cash we've forked out over the last 19 years for this event...something tells me the end result would be a very depressing figure!
  8. I wonder if we could claim attending HHN as a "personal enrichment" experience of sorts and figure out a way to make our health insurance pay for it?
  9. The only SZ of Sweet 16 that I personally thought was lacking was Blood Masquerade...it was as if they tried to recreate the original Castle Vamypr and turn it into a SZ. The remaining three were all very well done in my opinion, particularly Harvest of the Souls.
  10. I've always thought that anyone trying to take flash photos in one of the houses is just downright rude. Not only are they ruining the ambiance for the rest of the guests, but doing just like you said and blinding the scareactors trying to do their job! Agreed...a house is about atmosphere and scares, not about photography. I wonder if perhaps we'll see this year as we did for Sweet 16 many of the major characters out and about on Hollywood Blvd. doing more photo ops than scaring? I do think most of us as guests would agree that scarezone photography is a judgement call. If you ask nicely for the scareactor to pose and they do, great...if they dont', don't be offended...simple as that. And first and foremost, if people are taking pics in a scarezone, don't blind the scareactors.
  11. VERY interesting theory Jimmy! We didn't get the chance to follow through with the whole LT concept, it would be nice if it does return this year to be able to really get involved with it.
  12. I too have often wondered why they never put together DVD keepsakes for the fans; you know they could make some serious cash by doing so! And let's face it, when has a theme park in Orlando not marketed the hell out of something to make some additional dinero?
  13. I love the idea of the multidimensional tree, as if it is the source of all evil and has intertwined throughout the years, but very few people have noticed it. (Like you have!) And that tree from "Poltergeist"...creepy with a capital "C". That film made me dislike large trees and small stuffed clowns for a very long time. BTW...I'm LOVING the concept art for the entrance, it looks fantastic!!!
  14. Oh that I know...this year was already well planned out before last years event even ended. Nothing we say will have any affect on what occurs this year, but wishful thinking never hurts right?
  15. And this would be just part of the 2006 B&T Show that made me laugh so hard, I spit beer out my nose on more than one occasion! and the famous "part of the show where we all dance for no reason"
  16. That's my thought as well Jimmy...that in order to make the 20th anniversary a huge splash, Jack will be brought back in as the face of this year. Don't get me wrong, Jack is a fantastic icon...he's the perfect symbol of what scares the crap out of most people, he's a clown, he's crazy and he kills people...it's the horror trifecta. And he's the cash cow of marketing for this event. However it would be nice to see this year strictly being celebrated as the 20th year of HHN...with just like we said, a logo or image to mark the event. Here's hoping that maybe, just maybe Universal takes into consideration us long term fans and gives us a 20th HHN that will blow our minds!
  17. What makes me sad is even though everyone has some great suggestions as to what we might see this year in this show, none of them to me are "laugh so hard my stomach hurts and I spit beer out my nose" kind of funny. The past few years, this show has paled in comparison to it's early days...although I have to say last year they did come really close to showing that great stupid/funny/ironic/sarcastic combination that they were once so great at. The last really hysterical year I can remember was '06, we made it a point to see the show everytime we attended along with the first show opening night and the last show closing night. The show that year was just absolutely out of this world funny and the cast rocked it every show, every night. If the glory days of this show could be recaptured this year, that would be a wonderful treat for the 20th anniversary.
  18. Once Eric and I got married in '98, it has also become a sort of annual anniversary event for us as well! We always try to go on the night of our anniversary if it's an event night or a night close to it. HHN and Halloween have always played a large part in our anniversary celebration, it's a really good excuse to celebrate all October long...LOL And you are right "Stay and Scream" = "Stay and Drink"....love it!
  19. Mark, Thanks for sharing that! Now I want September to get here even quicker than I did previously...LOL
  20. I'll have to see if I can hunt down pictures from the early years...I never took many until Eric and I started going together, now it seems that half of the pictures we take every year are at HHN...LOL
  21. It would be amazing even for those of us who have attended since the beginning! What a nice treat to really get a chance to experience the past 20 years all over again...let's hope we do get something along these lines! I LOVE this concept Jimmy..."The Genealogy of Horror"...now THAT would be an amazing way to take us back to the very beginning and have a retrospect of the past 20 years! Charles, I think you may very well be on to something here!!!
  22. See, sometimes there's no need for all that kicking and screaming...
  23. Thanks for the clarification Michele...makes more sense now! But like you, in all truthfulness, I couldn't care less either!!! LOL
  24. That's cool! Not even knowing it, your parents did you a huge favor by taking you that year! LOL
