i would also enjoy it if any of George Romero's classics were to be immortalized as a HHN house (such as Night or Dawn of the Living Dead)
I remember that was one of the survey questions a few years ago. They asked the standard "have-you-ever-seen-this-movie-and-how-would-rate-your-interest-in-seeing-as-a-house?" questions.

06 was the last year we were allowed to take backstage pics, every year since there have been "intellectual Properties" involved with the event so they went No backstage pics for the whole thing.
Ok, that makes sense.
Hopefully "intellectual properties" are involved this year. The only picture I have of myself from last year is a horrible in-house pic.

I would rather see another "Usher" style format like we did last year, not so much an icon that "hosts" the event, but more the conceptual face of it. Jack is great, but to me he's been WAY overdone. I'm one of those people who got used to having a different face for the event every year, not even a namesake, but an idea. (i.e. '96 Journey into Fear, the eyes and claws character...'98 Primal Scream, the sheet face screaming...) concepts ideas like those, to me personally, lend just as much to the event than an official "spokesperson" so to speak.
I'd be happy this year with a big pumpkin with a 20 carved into it as the "icon"...LOL
I agree, I like that more, but again I think we have to remember the GP.
Back in '04 when I first attended, I remember being disappointed at not seeing the guy in the straight jacket (did he ever have a name?) inside the event.

How did you guys get away with all those backstage pictures though? This past year, I was getting yelled at for just having my camera backstage.

Does anyone think they will have any Houses and Scare Zone's from anything earlier than 2000? It's not looking to good right now.
I agree that it doesn't look too likely. Look at '06, yes they brought back Dungeon of Terror but they also stuck the Storyteller in there for the GP.

I just want to touch up on all the "rumors" going around in the past weeks. This whole "Reunion" thing, or wait.. is it an "Anniversary"? Ok.. Reunion vs. Anniversary.
Let's speculate on this a bit! Bloody Mary, Freddy, Jason and Leatherface are rumored not to be part of HHN 20 due to copyright, contracts, etc. Some people seem to be upset by this because it can't be a Reunion without them? Wait.. again, is it a Anniversary or a Reunion. Anniversary.. ok.
Just because it's an Anniversary year does not mean we need to see every ICON/Mascot/Host involved with the event in the past be at HHN 20. In life I have Anniversary's come and go, but I don't have a Family Reunion to go along with it!
Sure anything can happen at any point in time to have Bloody Mary and the BIG 3 be at HHN XX, but would it matter that much? The BIG 3 were just part of that year's event, not ICON's and not Mascot's! Bloody Mary was just basically for marketing and a house, which was one of the worst at an HHN event for a ICON.. whom you rarely ever saw in the park besides signage and ROF.
Maybe I'd like to see Friday the 13th and NOES houses based off the new movies, but would you want them to waste two houses on these non-UNI characters, not to mention the money? Same goes for Bloody Mary. Save the cash, and put it towards UNI's own creations and more Scare Actors.
Wait.. it is an Anniversary, right?

If you're a big fan of the SAW SERIES, then this video's going to make sense. I still don't like the SAW series, but I can't help but watching the endings to each part on youtube. So anywho, this video explains a theory about the big surprise in SAW 7, and my jaw dropped. Yours will too...
Unfortunately, that video was made over a year ago.
Now, I have heard the whole theory of Dr. Gordon still being alive as well as him performing some of the surgery (ie. the venus fly trap scene in 2) and I think it could be plausible as they haven't debunked it (where is his body?). But since the above video has been made, Saw 6 has come out and it is reveled that Jill Tuck is the one to test Hoffman.

This trip to Cali really changed me. I am starting to get back into the mindset of the "old" me. How I used to be before some horrible stuff happened in my past. Ok.. So I am posting this here, so that it will hold me accountable, since so many people know. I have started eating healthy..cut off sodas.. and working out daily. I have started doing 30 minutes on the treadmill every day..and various other exercises.. I hope to be unrecognizable by HHN.. lol.. Yay for positive changes!!
Oh, and you can try and be unrecognizable but ultimately us scareactors will find you. Resistance is futile.

Well I think that Cindy should be the icon, shes all grown up and its time to take
her place, in the new era of HHN. Her first task will be to get rid of that damn Clown.
Then the "others" scramble to either join her or fight her in her quest to rule over them.
Of course she could have her own "friends" over for the party.
This way you can get rid of/lock away any old characters while introducing a new line
of characters for use. sorta like a evil throw down with us in the middle of it.
I kinda like this idea. It would be like saying, "it's a new decade, so we've got new/original ideas". It's almost like a change of command ceremony (changing of the guard).

To continue the off-topicness: If I wasn't biased in my opinion, I would say that Cleaver should have won HotY. But I am, so I don't. Some of my best experiences last year as a quest were in that house.

^ Taekwondo is Korean. You probably meant: Karate or Judo or maybe even Jujutsu (which are just 3 of the many martial arts that Japan has).

But, you should study Ninjutsu because, IMO, it is the most badass.

Here's my thing with wait times, if the time is 40 minutes, then show it to be 50 minutes, at least that way guests will be pleasently surprised when they wait 10 minutes less than the shown time. If you put up a 5 minute wait when in actuality it's 40 minutes, your going to be dealing with ticked off people. I think most of us can agree that we have no problem waiting, but would really like to see realistic wait times as opposed to the "guesstimates" that we typically see.
Why don't they implement the method of wait time estimation that they use for their rides, or do they SWAG that also?
If they do bring back the parade..
