Because of all of you, and calling the house "Cats 'n Combs,"
of all things, made me think of Halloween Horror Nights...I hate you all.
Do I even want to know how you came across that?

On the contrary... I was scolded.. scolded like a 5 year old child... for trying to take pictures during a cast change. I had half a mind to do it anyway as the guy was so rude.
Not sure if it was you but I heard Ops swarm someone the other night for taking a picture. Really kind of surprised by it.

How do you guys feel about me calling you Harvey Birdman?
I remember going through the strobey hallway at the end (for anyone who didn't get a good look, it's supposed to be part of the plague museum under construction) and the air cannon blew one of the tarps up and around my face. The damn house attacked me!
We've been called just about everything else multiple times, so alittle variety is welcomed!
The house also tried to kill me on the first walkthrough during rehearsals.

Simply amazing house...construction, cast, ambiance and costume wise! One of my top three hands down...
Construction, yes. Cast, of corse! Ambiance, sure. But costumes?..... meh.

I didn't know he was talking about our house specifically (I thought he was talking about the event as a whole).

BEST HOUSE HANDS DOWN.
Sorry for the caps, but holy shit.
I went through this house eight times, between Fri and Sat, and wow. Plague doctors are amazing. (Plague victims are amazing too) This is a tight house. Very claustrophobic feeling while going through it, and it just delivered. Every. Time. Constant scares and great energy. Major shout outs to the Plague Doctors that are all very tight in one specific hallway. I believe there's three of you right in there.
Amazing scares.
Another major shout out to the plague-er's at the entrance, and at the exit. The exit scene is just amazing. It's one of those scenes that makes you want to drop what you're holding and run. There's a certain air effect that literally wrapped one of the white curtains into my face and almost suffocated me, I unwrapped myself from it and got a major scare from the plague-er in that last corner before the exit. Pretty sure it was cast A. You my friend, are brutal.
Keep up the good work guys, you can EASILY win HOTY. Just watch out for Hades, they're vicious.

^ I'm curious as well. Sure, while the sun is still up it will be bright because the house is in a tent (which could easily be fixed if they really wanted to) but once it gets dark out, the house has very little of it's own lighting.

Here's a mark on Julian. Thought I might post this, as it is relevant with the discussion.
What I'd like to see is the lantern mark grow/spread as the month progresses.

Like I said, I haven't heard about sliders, but I have heard about beads. I don't expect to see sliders this year, personally.

I didn't know they ever auditioned for the icons? I thought they always used actors internally for videos, pr, and what not.

The only auditioning they do for specific roles is in B&T.

I was thinking also, i haven't received my call as of yet. Last year i knew people who didn't get a call back, and at orientation were told they would be ABU. I dont expect to be cast as ABU, but possibly being cast as Firecrew could be why i haven't had a call back. As much as i've heard firecrew is fun, getting to have new roles. I liked having a cast and a home. Instead of having to only have a night to be a character, i like building my character through the event.
If it makes you feel better, I didn't get my call last year until Sept and I was not ABU.

Never saw you again though. Oh and at the Harry Potter Opening, someone lied to me, that totally wasn't the line for the restrooms!

Now I have to think about housing for two months, as I really want this job, but I don't want to drive back & forth from Tampa every night.
Driving back and forth from Tampa is not that big of a deal if you really want this job. Trust me.

Just a word of advice to those who haven't worked the event before and are cast - don't post your role on a website or any social networking outlet. It may also be wise to not share your role title (even the codeword) to your friends until the information on the event is released to the public.
Just to add to this, a good rule of thumb is that if you question whether you should post something (either on this site or another) you probably shouldn't.

I got there right at 1300 but I had a friend that got there as early as 1045.

Got cast! I knew I would, was #13 in line and of course 13 is my lucky number!
BTW, we got some great info today. This year Uni decided to switch it up and give us veterans all the info about the event tonight! We were told that "the event will take place during October... maybe. There will be one house... probably and we will have at least one street."
It was a good day but now comes the wait.

You know what I hate about summer, other than the heat? My air conditioning loves to freeze when summer comes around. I am sitting here without air conditioning right now dying from the heat. Can someone please send me some air please?
What a coincidence. Except only my upstairs AC is out, so I am now living downstairs. The tech was supposed to be out today between 1200 - 1500. He called at 1515 to say he would be another 15 min. Now 15 min goes by, then 30, 45... finally at 1630 he calls again to say that he will have to reschedule.
