  1. It has begun. Saw this in my local Publix: Also, yes the wife and I bought the uber mega super frequent fear with express. Mainly because I have fridays and saturdays off this year.
  2. Wow, just look at all the positivity around here! I'm excited about most everything except the Academy of Villains. My wife and I picked up the super-everyday frequent fear pass with express, so I'm glad everything looks good. We'll be paying for those tickets for awhile. I'm about halfway through the first season of American Horror Story, and the Krampus BluRay will come in from Netflix tomorrow. Stoked!
  3. We are having so much fun at hhn this year! Already fearing the end. On sunday the 11th we saw the band Failure at the House of Blues and since the show ended at 11:30, we headed to Universal. Got in the front gate at midnight and managed to hit five houses before the 2am closing. This past sunday (the 18th) we again had all night to enjoy ourselves. It did seem like the team members in the houses in the black shirts were making some effort to be less in the way, which is good. Now if we could get them to stop with the "hurry up" hand gestures while you are basically already dry humping the person in front of you, that would be great. I just look at American Warewolf in London as a bonus house. If universal gave us eight new houses and one re-do of one of the best houses from the past, from now on, I'll be ecstatic. Yes, two years was way too short a period to bring back and old maze, and yes, it's not quite as good as the first go around, but it is still an incredible house. Especially since we recently just rewatched the movie. Give me another chance to go through the original Screamhouse or Silver Screams again (or in several years, Halloween), yes, Please! I just ordered the "Halloween Horror Nights: The Unofficial Story and Guide 2015" book by Christopher Ripley from amazon. Has anyone else gotten this? I tried searching the forums, but came up empty.
  4. We've seen it each of the five nights we've attended so far. It's a really strong show this year and improves each time as they tweak everything. Sunday night was really jarring because we had a different Bill S. Preston. He did a great job, but it was just so strange. It seems like it's always been the same two guys since I started going in 2001. We'll definitely be seeing this show every night we are there, and I'm looking forward to attending a final show for the first time.
  5. Still depressed that there is no Horror Nights tonight, with how busy the first two days were, I think this Sunday would have been good for everyone involved. We had a great time again last night. While it was definitely extremely busy for a first weekend, we had no problems using express on every house, we never waited more than 15 minutes. The best thing that happened was that my wife and I were the very first people let in Body Collectors. We've never had that privilege before, and it was a totally different experience. I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to find the path without the conga line leading you on, but it actually was in places. With you trying to figure out where to go, you are much more vulnerable to the scareactors. I think we got each and every scare that time through, it was amazing. I still think Insidious and Body Collectors are the best houses, 25 Years of Mayhem almost as good as the top two. American Warewolf is very good again. I look at it as a bonus house, if we have to have a repeat, at least it's one of the best. Freddy vs Jason is also very good except for the cheesy screens. Run is just okay Asylum is pretty good for a 3D house. Walking Dead is pretty bad. We were impressed that they found that many memorable locations from last season, but other than that, it's just not good. Purge is horrible. It's not the fault of Creative though. I think it would have incredible as Scream. We also really like Bill and Ted so far, and it always improves as the event progresses. I just wish the "Do you want to Eat a Snow-cone?" lady had something more substantial to do in this years show. She is incredibly talented and brought the house down every time in last years show.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. We would have felt pretty silly finding out at the front gate.
  7. After a year of just lurking, I guess I'll go ahead and attempt to add something to the discussion. My wife and I went last night and had a blast. I've been going since 2001 and the last two years have been up there with our favorites. For us, for several years before 2014 it seemed like there would always be one or two houses where they went all out with extremely detailed sets and great costumes, producing amazing results like my all-time favorite, the original Screamhouse. Then there would be four or five that they spent a medium amount of time and money on, resulting in just okay houses. Finally, there would always be one or two houses that seemed like they had been created in about a half hour after they had already spent all their money, giving us houses like my all-time least favorite, People Under the Stairs - Under Construction. But last year and this year even the houses we don't like are amazingly well thought out and designed. We'll be there again tonight and tomorrow and at least every sunday after that. But after just one time through everything, Insidious and Body Collectors were the best for us, and The Purge was the worst. It looks like we really got hosed with the Purge though. It you look past all the stupid graffiti, it looks like the original concept tied into the Scream franchise would have been right up our alley. Lastly, what are some of you talking about when you say HHN isn't scary anymore? Are you talking about being startled when a scareactor pops out at you? I see groups of teenage girls that seem to be scared at all times walking around the houses, but that's about it. We jump now and then, but the event has never been scary to any of the people we've went with. I'm not trying to come off as a tough guy, because I'm not. I just want to know what kind of scary some of you mean.
