Does anybody know if theres a video of the opening scaremonies somewhere?
-
So Early Entry is a cluster fuck that needs to be fixed immediately. It is a major disservice more than it helps.
I ALLLLLMOST didn't see every maze because of it. More in my review later today.
Did you do early entry or did you do regular entry?
-
So due to my lack of self control I've watched the first room of every maze. I'm going to allow myself one spoiler, it will probably be Terror Tram. Is there anything in TT that is so revolutionary that you want me to wait until next saturday to see it?
-
Wow, 6:15 is pretty early for a showing and seems like an incentive a lot of people will take, meaning Insidious and TWD will be pretty empty for us doing maze options instead!
Oh God, this sounds WAY better than being cattle for an hour and a half, inching closer to the escalators.
A month or two ago when I was at the park it was jam-packed around the Simpsons area at closing time. That gave me enough HHN flashbacks for the year. I think I like this new early entry system.
-
I'm gonna spoil this year for all y'all.....
There will be A LOT of dead people!!!
Oh come on I wasn't expecting that now I cant go
-
I curious about the hoodie was extremely bummed they sold out last year if I like them I'll make the 45 minute trip earlier in October and pick one up.
Also if HHNH has phone cases like Orlando I might get one.
Orlando does phone cases? If we have them, and depending on how they look, there is no question. I need a phone case badly.

Alright, this will be my last post in this thread until September 27th at the least. If you want to say something to me (don't know why you would) post it in the new thread I made for spoiler-free discussion.
-
I'm curious to see what the shirts this year will look like.
-
This thread will be for anyone who wants to be surprised by this year's event, but still wants to discuss.
If you want to post something that you think may be considered a spoiler, please state what the spoiler is about, then use the following format to tag it as a spoiler:
(spoiler) Content (/spoiler)
IMPORTANT: Replace the parenthesis with brackets (These are brackets: [ ] )
It should look like this:
Warning: Crimson Peak spoiler
There's a peak and it's crimson
Please do not post any pictures, videos, etc. in this thread, those belong in a separate thread.

Im going opening night, my twitter is @666kidsbop666
That is quite a fantastic twitter handle.
By the way, has anyone been checking out the HHN Snapchat? It seems like a few people are already going through the mazes. Maybe cast training or dress rehearsal or something?
-
Murdy is making it seem like they just dropped first stab and gave it's perks to early entry. He said early entry will be let in at 5 and will now require wrist bands.
He's making it sound like we actually get *in* the mazes at 5. I am thoroughly hyped. Early entry from 5 to 6:15? That means that for over an hour, die hard fans will be trickling into the event. I would be shocked if either of the mazes get over a 30 minute wait during that time, if even that. I may even be able to do one (or both) of them twice.
-
all of them or close to all of I remember correctly.
Did the first two weekends sell out too? I guess it really shouldn't matter to me since every time I've been it's been sold out. Does park capacity differ from day to day? Like, do they let more people in on Saturdays than on Sundays?
Edit: I've just heard that Employee Preview Night is tomorrow. Time to say goodbye to me until the 26th. Adios!
(I might make a spoiler-free discussion thread if anybody wants it)

Does anybody remember which nights sold out last year?

Yes wheelchairs are able to go into the mazes the terror tram will give you 2 options. 1 option is the handicapped tram to the Backlot or 2 if the person can get out of the wheelchair you can go in the normal tram I love the handicapped tram Cuz it's takes you to places you never go lol. The backlot you have the same options.
I mean she's on crutches right now but she should be off by next Tuesday, which is dangerously close to our trip for me. Are crutches allowed in mazes too? I would think not. Either way, she can stand up for a short amount of time, at least to board the tram. Is there a separate line for the handicapped trams?

The link didn't work but I was able to find the pictures. Looks amazing

Not sure if this should go in Construction but since we're on the topic of Crimson Peak here HorrorBuzz just posted pictures from inside the maze and
Oh my sweet baby Jesus
I am so hyped for this maze now

*An idea from an Orlando fan. Would love to know if it sounds plausible!*
I feel like after doing the 3 lower lot mazes, a wise idea would be to just get Halloween out of the way, then go to the backlot. Does the upper lot maze fill up super fast? Cuz if not, I feel like it's possible to do all 4 of those mazes in an hour. Backlot won't be the big draw this year right off the bat, with AvP being a repeat and CP being the smallest new IP this year, so they won't fill up at rope drop like last year. Do Insidious, TWD, TitE, then go do Halloween, then CP and AvP on the backlot. On a normal night, you should be done with all mazes in maybe 3 hours. Then do TT, Jabbawokeez, rides, and repeats.
This plan seems fine in theory, but that is a LOT of walking. Especially since there's a chance that one of my group will be in a wheelchair (those are allowed in the houses and on TT right?)
-
I just read the IGN article about the Crimson Peak maze, and they said that there will be NO PLOT SPOILERS for the movie! So happy about that. They said the maze is like a live trailer for the movie, and that it's done in the spirit of the film, i.e. there will be things that happen in the maze that don't happen in the film and vice versa.

Locked in September 26th, I doubt I'll meet up with any of you since I'll be with a group but if you see me I'll be wearing my 2012 HHN shirt (Like that'll stand out)
-
Even though I have front of the line passes, I have a good idea in my head that I have thought up for people who don't. You do early entry, nailing The Walking Dead and Insidious, you do the backlot mazes, you do This Is the end and try and do The terror tram and halloween.
I think this is what I'll do. I don't think This is the End will draw a whole lot of crowds, since it was a pretty forgettable movie. I don't think the GP will be as curious to see what's inside as I am.
I will bet that it gonna be the same just like every other year... Backlot will be packed as usual lower lot will be packed after as usual but for once the upper will be dead... watch...
So game plan is.... just like I always say every year I use the same game I did in the beginning and it still works perfect to this day... back to front show towards end eat some turkey legs and get a sipper... WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO 26th HERE WE COME !!!
woot woot 26th hype train
-
Strange idea, but what about doing TWD and Insidious last? Since they're early entry mazes, wouldn't that decrease demand for those two mazes?
I would rather use the early entry time to get them out of the way. It's either do them or do nothing, I'd rather do them.
-
A good way to solve all these problems is to get front of the line passes. Its expensive, but worth it.
That price isn't a good way to introduce someone new to the event, which I am doing this year. If they become hooked on it like I am, they may consider it next year, surely.
Plus they're all sold out the day I'm going so there's that.

Now that I think about it Parisian Courtyard is the perfect spot for Halloween. For the outdoor scenes, the surrounding buildings don't look nearly as out of place as they did with El Cucuy and Dracula.

Oh god that scares me. What part makes it impossible and how could it be fixed (either on the park's part or mine)?
And destroys wallets.
