  1. Agreed, but still think we are freaking out a bit too much.
  2. Mike said FDTD was SS22 on that Twitter photo of the facade back a few weeks ago.
  3. Actually I think you're right, but I feel that just increases my point. RE was announced eight days from now. The reason that was so hyped up was that it was the surprise eighth house after people were convinced (Not this forum, of course, but the GP was.) there was going to be 7 again. Halloween was already leaked, and I feel they're trying to keep Halloween low on people's radars. If may sound stupid, but I think they may WANT us to think Halloween has been called off, just to make it a bit more shocking. Also, I blame the leak.
  4. Guys, at this time last year, Resident Evil was announced two days ago. Besides, Mike CONFIRMED it would be this month. Unless August DOES pass with no announcement, I ain't gonna worry.
  5. I recall 2013's scarezone of the year being specifically the Plaza of the Stars/Opening area. I know I saw that somewhere but I can't seem to find it again. I think it was actually on HHNYearbook.
  6. Just because I feel like it, I'm going to rate our speculation, since Hollywood was somehow spot on on everything, with the exception of Conjuring spec they had. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on anything. Walking Dead- I feel this was 50/50. Some of us were positive they would have to bring it back. Some of us were positive it had run it's course. By the announcement, I think we mostly had shifted towards the former, though. From Dusk Till Dawn- This was a bit of a doozy. We thought it was happening, then we thought Roanoke replaced it, then the leak happened. And ironically enough, in the end, it ended up replacing our supposed Boogeyman 3Dish maze. Neither coast actually could have predicted this one, considering it was labeled as the Super Secret Project over in Hollywood. Face/Off- We had this one down, thanks to Cassilda's clue with the QR Code. It was speculated and I basically think agreed on before we got the QR down, so I think we did good on this one. The Purge- We also had this one down, thanks to Cassilda's clue and I believe the Orlando Informer website said it was happening or something like that. Though similar to Face/Off, I'm pretty sure we had this down from the Cassilda Clue. Alien vs Predator- We got the Alien side, so we did pretty good. I don't presently recall whether there was a chat about whether it was going to be AVP or not. Probably was, just can't remember. Dracula:Untold- All I can say, is that we did predict it. I forget when and why, but I know we did. Roanoke: Cannibal Colony- We got the Roanoke part down. Cannibalism was mentioned early on (I'm pretty sure), then it got buried under the Wendigo, which ironically enough the Wendigo was half-right anyway. Then the Wendigo got buried under it being an Indian Revenge house, thanks to one website. Personally, I'm blaming the website for that. Giggles and Gore Inc- We got the making evil clowns point down. We did believe it was Steampunk before it was announced, and the whole Jack thing, which is technically still going on. Dollhouse of the Damned- We got the Evil/Living Doll part down and the only thing we could have gotten down, so we got what we could. Maskarade: Unstitched- We got the Masquerade part down, partial thanks to Hollywood for that one. The unstitched part was never really hinted at. Bayou of Blood- We had this zone down, right down to reusage of the barn if I'm correct. Halloween- There was initially the Nightingales speculation, but then it changed to Halloween after the clues stopped connecting to Nightingales, and we got Halloween. Again, correct if I'm wrong on anything.
  7. 2010: HAVOC: Dogs of War 2011: The Forsaken/ The In-Between 2012: Gothic 2013: An American Werewolf in London Sorry if I missed any.
  8. I feel HOTY will go to either Roanoke, Dollhouse, AVP, or Halloween. I love the idea of Giggles and Gore, but I feel it's a bit too short and even with the fact it's clowns, it won't leave an impact. Walking Dead has never gotten HOTY, and I don't think the length of it this year will change that. FDTD and Dracula, just don't seem like they will be HOTY to me. Dollhouse, we've gone over how it could win. Roanoke is an all new twist on the cannibal genre (if that counts as a genre). AVP will have AWIL-type puppets, and the fact that it will be it's own original story. And Halloween is a beloved classic and from what I've heard, wonderful in Hollywood. You know, I should probably copy paste this to the actual HHN24 thread.
  9. I'll be truly honest, despite what I said earlier, I could actually believe that. Dolls scare a LOT of people, and the human turned into doll idea will probably make the fear even worse.
  10. Gotta agree. Scarezones are cool but, I go for the houses in the end. Personally I find the numbers fine as they are.
  11. Perhaps there WAS supposed to be an icon or the return of Jack, however it was probably cut, in favor of saving Jack for the ol' 25TH Aniv.
  12. In that case, I'm not TOO worried about the lack of streets, because with the budget boost, the streets should all look better than ever.
  13. The other two names are more memorable. Also, Dollhouse of the Damned somewhat sounds like a B-Movie. I can imagine a hammy commerical with some guy just going "Dollhouse...OF THE DAMNED!". This is the original I'm least excited, but that's not because of the name, it's just Roanoke and G&G both seem a lot more interesting to me, even with G&G's short length.
  14. I feel this is almost like easing back into scarezones with different stories, after doing two years of not doing that. The reason there's only four, I feel as they may be saving quite a few good ideas for the 25TH Aniv. Who knows, maybe the Geisha zone we lost this year may get it's dues next year.
  15. Now watch the surprise being lots of crows at the end of the house. Their wings will block the sun.
  16. Wait, really? That's pretty cool then.
  17. The Cover Page for a maze shown all the way back at the beginning of spec was confirmed to be for Dollhouse of the Damned. So I guess this mean it was the first in production then. @bs_carter78 Codename: Charlie aka Dollhouse of the Damned — HHN - Orlando (@HorrorNightsORL) August 12, 2014
  18. Houses: 1. AvP 2. Halloween 3. Giggles and Gore 4. Roanoke 5. FDTD / The Walking Dead 6. Dollhouse 7. Dracula Scarezones: 1. The Purge 2. Bayou Of Blood / Face Off 3. Maskerade
  19. I thought you meant above cameos. I'm good with them being cameos, them having full roles in maze stories should be saved for HHN25.
  20. Looking back at construction photos, that is true. I'm still looking forward to it. I'm hoping the idea that the clowns will continue into a zone will come to life.
  21. I think it would be a bit of a waste with the 25TH Anniversary next year. I wouldn't mind, but it would just be weird to just have Icons in there unannounced (at this time).
  22. I wonder if this and Maskerade will get official logo images eventually. On the topic of the zone, this sounds like it will be neat. The Farm was my favorite part of the WD Experience last year, and I'm excited to see it used again.
  23. Personally I'm interested enough by the story and what was said about it in the Close Up Blog to make it my most looked forward to original. Roanoke comes at a close second. EDIT: Just asking, how did we determine it only has 7 rooms? I'm not doubting it's true, considering it's the Disaster queue, just curious if I missed something or not.
  24. This is the original house I am personally most excited for.
