One time I sealed the deal with "I want to rub my Eraserhead on your Twin Peaks" but David Lynch fans are weirdos anyway so that makes sense. But that person wasn't a scareactor.
BUT THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS: Don't try to hit on scareactors. You just look like a loser who is trying to look cool to your friends.- 1

"What's the difference between a xenomorph and me? Xenomorphs burst out of your chest instead of onto it."

Step one: Become scarezone supervisor.
Step two: Talk to those people.- 1

I think guys do it more in HHN because they need to look cool in front of their friends that just saw them scream like Homer Simpson at a living statue gag.
What gets the most is people who repeat the same awful joke over and over because the problem is people must have not heard it. Come on now. If it is the first thing that popped into your head chances are they have heard it before.- 2

Hey, what are you doing later?
H-Hey, what are you doing later?
What are you doing later?
I don't think you heard me the first three times I'm being really clever.- 4

Actually, I didn't.
But it is pretty loud in that room.

Hey guys I couldn't think of where to ask, and this might be a stupid question but. Is it okay ask the scareacters to take a selfie?
No. They make it pretty clear that you are not to pose for pictures.

Some of the new scares were pretty great, especially the tunnel scene. I liked the new and improved (well, destroyed) prison facade and cell block.

Good: Having the floors be 3D in the beginning was a great touch. Very disorienting.
Concept and story was well executed, didn't feel like a generic KSF style clown maze.
Sweet Licks is a really fun character, same with Cutty. Did a great job balancing humor and horror, especially with the "endless guts" gag.
Most of the older gags were done better this year, if only because of the angle play. Sweet Licks nailed me while I was checking out the "face cut away" gag with Cutty, and the projection during the electrocution scene was awesome.
The human assembly line scenes were disgusting. One of the more disturbing scenes this year, at least from what I've seen.
Bad: Blend in wall gag was done better last year. Still a good scare, but last year was better.
Opening mirror sequence could have been better.
Bubba kinda boring compared to Sweet Licks and Cutty. -
Judging by the ticket sales on the first weekend, this year is going to be more busy than last year. I remember the first Saturday being kinda slow last year, this year it sold out.

You didn't notice that when From Dusk Till Dawn was thought to be a good IP when it was thought to have been axed in Orlando, and then roasted for not being high awareness like Trick R Treat or American Werewolf in London?

I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.

You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.

My wife said it was mostly similar to last year, but the cast was on fire (yes, burning walker joke) so it was worth going to. And etc. etc. EP night.

The biggest change is going to be From Dusk Till Dawn. It's in the backlot but you'll reach before AVP or TWD. If I were going, I would run (have we mentioned running before? Run) to TWD, AVP, FDTD, AWIL, Clowns, Terror Tram, Untold, and then rest a second while you check out scarezones and decide what to do.
Also, the first Saturday was slower than most days due to most of the hardcore fans going Friday. -

It seems not too long ago the rumors started. This is going to blow you away.

It's the very first construction pic. Hold on a bit.

Yeah, you can't even being to compare the popularity of AHS to TWD. AHS is the second most popular horror series, but it's a long drop to second. Or even the amount of maze fodder either of the most recent seasons have given. Actually expecting them to choose AHS over TWD would just be goofy. Last year the vast majority of people went because of TWD, and it's not going to be different this year.

It looks like it is under construction.
Because it is. -
Terror Tram - Mud Walker
The Mud Walker was a tribute to Lucio Fulci! Feel honored to have that role. I was kinda hoping for it.

Budget really is a huge deciding factor in everything, especially at an event that floors the competition in terms of amount money spent making the event. When John Landis said he was amazed at the amount of money spent on the mazes, he wasn't joking. We're talking about an event that custom makes all of the masks instead of picking them up from party city and hires enough people so there's not a bunch of empty spots everywhere. HHNH may currently have one of the highest budgets in the country, but it is still a budget. If they are going to get a bigger return on another maze than a show, that is what is going to be done.
