Yeah, I thought it was weird that he didn't even have any makeup or anything.

He actually does have makeup on. he has welt like bruises on him and some light makeup to make him more pale. He use to have a mouthpiece that made his teeth and gums look a little red but I think they did away with that.

  2. I did it for opening night last year.

    1. The food is good. Universal quality. I got a really large portion of lasagna with a dessert and drink.

    2. You can take as many pictures as you want yourself. The picture with the scareactors was done by universal staff and is included in the price of the meal.

    3. there was at least 1 scare actor from each zone. the two you could get your picture with via uni staff was the Caretaker (from the icon scare zone) and the Usher (also Icon scare zone.)

    4. We spent about 2 hours I think. they try not to rush you, but they do have other things to do. if you are not finished eating then they stop you for a moment to get the picture done with the scare actors (as they have to go on set at a certain point) then allow you to return to eating or whatever else.

All in all, it is very worth it.

  3. I consider 2 houses my first. one was Screamhouse Resurrection in 2006 (sweet 16). I went through that house 3 times. The first time with the my eyes closed, second time with my eyes open for half the house and then the third time for the whole house. I can't recall much of it because of being such a wimp.

Yeah, I was a wimp for my first HHN but got a lot better when I went in 2008. The second and one I remember the most was Scary Tales: Once upon a nightmare! This house I remember walking through Rapunzel's hair as she is dead at the top of the tower, Cinderella's foot cut off and her ankle bleeding, and the hallway of mirrors.

While Screamhouse was my first actual house, I recall more of the first house I went to when I returned to HHN.

  4. What really sucks is it's hard to tell if YES the event is this crowded now or if it was merely just due to being a celebration year and it'll die down next year.

Went to the last bill and ted myself and barely made it despite being 30mins early. I was in the outside standby line of "you are not guaranteed entry if you're in this line" spiel. However everyone in the show it seemed has seen it 5000 times as they knew all the lines. :)

who doesn't know the lines of "THEY HAVE SEX WITH THEIR TAILS!!!!!" "Knock, Knock? who's there? Sex tail-BOOP!"

  5. I went the final night. Got 5 houses done (Walking dead, scurge, Insidious, asylum and FvJ). I also got into the last Bill and Ted show barely. The last Bill and Ted show was really great.

as for the crowds, meh. I was able to get through the streets easy enough.

  6. If not a new Icon, I always wondered how well Robert L. Strickland would do as a icon.

Rough story: Warden Strickland was fed up with only running a small prison in the corner of the park. He has now expanded his new prison to encompass the entire park and all who enter are guilty until proven innocent or dead. Welcome to Hellpark Prison!

  7. GATs ARE a liability. Just like crouching tunnels , tilted walkways and air jet bursts. The difference between those things and the coins is that all of those things were approved by management. The coins weren't.

It's Universal's event, and despite the opinion of many, it's strictly theirs.

You cannot say it that it would not have been a great thing for universal to do for the 25th anniversary to plant coins from past events each night in the houses for guests. Heck, it would have been great to make coins for the more recent years and then make a rare 25th year coin and plant them.

anyway, I'm not trying to fight with ya. Just reporting the info that I got from the lead.

  8. Daaaaaamn son, that's crazy!  It typically feels like an hour's walk for me just getting over to all 9 houses.

On a separate note: How was it for those who went this past Saturday and/or Sunday night?  With Miami Thug Night on Sat. and UCF Night on Sunday I heard it was pretty awful, especially for the scareactors.

UCF night was sunday? I was thinking of going Sunday, but something in the back of my mind said not to. I'm happy I decided not to go then.

  9. So here's the coin I found in M&M (Goldie Locks Bear Scene - on the dining table inside one of the cups, on October 2nd or 3rd, I don't remember for sure).

Does anyone know where these coins originally came from or if they sold them at the park back in the day?

that is so cool! Now when I go back I have to overanalyze every scenescene looking for another coin. I want to see how many I can find before the year ends.

  10.

Doc Cog: you should post the pic of the coin on the HHN Orl Twitter feed and see if Aiello and Co. comment on it. But don't say where you got it from...just in case.

the coin was, if anything, carefully placed next the manikins hand on the table. As for the twitter thing, I will look into that when I get home. Just put that I found it in the park?

  11. I have to keep checking on this one in Run.  Averixx first mentioned it and I read a post on OU from one of them doing UMTH tour and they corroborated Averixx's mention of a GAT in Run and the specific location.  When you're leaving the Canadian room, just as you're walking out, on the left there is a yellow chainsaw on a bench or table.  Supposedly, on it is a red button.  It either blows air or makes a noise when pressed.  Again, I haven't seen it myself yet but have only gone through the house twice.  The 2nd time I knew it was in that room, but I had no idea where to look.  Next time I'll specifically check.

Maybe someone else has spotted it?  Not like these GATs are the most exciting thing anyway.  But, there you have it.

Just got out of run. I found the chainsaw and patted it down some, I could not find a button on it to push. Also I found this coin in the first room next to the acid manikin. The coin looked out of place and I thought would be glued down, but nope. Neat thing to find.

  12. Friday 10/9/15:

This was in monsters and mayhem. The best way to play off a cast change. In the first room there were two pumpkinheads, one came out at us and the other behind him wrapped his vine around the pumpkinhead and dragged him back behind the foliage. Then the first pumpkinhead exited the room. It was the best way to play it off and I want to give some commendation for that.

  13.

I asked this question in scareactor appreciation, but I am not sure how many actually read the posts there, so I am going to ask here:  Does anyone know the scareactor who is playing the pumpkinhead with the curved machete in Evil's Roots?  We had SUCH FUN with him last weekend, and I know it's because we had our Nightmares shirts on.  Hoping to find him again next weekend.  I know he's a Forum member, and  I'd love to know who he is.

I have known him for several years and he is great at what he does. However, he will reveal himself when the time is right either in the park or here in the forums.

Kind of funny, I did the same you did here back when he played the Jock for the Alice Cooper house.

  14. So has anyone tried the speciality drink this year that includes the collectible cup? I believe last years was called The Dead Walker or something like that. Just turned 21 and was wondering if it's worth buying or if I should just stick to a beer I already enjoy.

Same here man, I was planning on buying it on a night I didn't have to drive home. I talked to some people who were drinking the Jacked up drink and they said it was great.

  15. This has been a good even all around with the exception of one house that I will get to.  The scarezones were all top notch this year and none of the park felt empty! Both shows were great. As someone who missed 2007, I was happy to see Jack on stage once more!

    HOUSES:

    1. 25 YEARS: MONSTERS & MAYHEM

This house was great! I enjoyed every bit and could name every scene. I greatly enjoyed seeing Cindy and Eddie. However, as great as this house it, I got two maybe three total scares out of it. Maybe I just didn't get the right timing. I will see if anyone can truly scare me in this as the event goes on.

                          SCENERY: 10/10

    2. AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON

I did not go through this one since I went through the original and this is supposed to be a replica.

    3. FREDDY VS JASON

Another fantastic house! There were Jasons right off the bat in the first room and both got me. All the scares from this house came from the Freddys and they all got me good. Sadly, since it was still light outside, my eyes could not adjust enough to see the scenery too well. The mirror maze was awesome to go through though.

                          SCARES: 8/10

                         SCENERY: 6/10

    4. BODY COLLECTORS

It is great to hear A Summer Place theme again. I loved the decor of this house and it fit greatly with the Body Collectors formal dress. Also that spine room with all the different body collectors and the headless guy...amazing! My only gripe with this house is that the spine ripping room I think needs more scare actors. They need some live people mixed in with the fake dummies in the seats watching the spine rip.

                         SCARES: 8/10

                         SCENERY: 10/10

    5. RUN

A lot of people had mixed or somewhat positive experiences on this. I am putting this up in my top list for a good reason. I got to enter this house alone! No one in front of me nor behind me. Experiencing this house completely solo is the best way to do it. It feels like you actually do have to survive each room with the scare actors focusing on just you. This house had me run a little and for the first time ever, got me on the ground in fear! The electricity room with ol' smokey got me good. More specifically the guy on the heightened platform that had two electric wires to put on metal to make noise. It caught me so off guard that I went down to the ground screaming. Just for that I give this house my highest praise that I can give it!

                       SCARES: 10/10

                      SCENERY: 10/10

    6. INSIDIOUS

The great houses keep flowing. I love the movies (I have not seen the third movie yet.). This house had the one thing I was looking forward to the most...Tip Toe Through the Tulips. I got some great scares and the energy was great in this house with some of the scenes from the movie being recreated perfectly. The further hallway was amazing!

                      SCENERY: 10/10

    7. PURGE

I hated this house. I thought walking dead would be my most hated but nope. This house does nothing for me at all! Boring sets and boring scares. I did two runs to give this house the most fair chance I could. I never got a scare from this house and the scenery does not impress me. I never thought I could be bored in a haunted house but this one did it. I'm a fan of both films, this house is supposed to cater to me. I think the purge is more effective on the streets where you can really show more chaos than in a confined room. I also got major and unforgivable disrespect from one of the team leaders for this house that I will not go into in this review as I do not wish to slander the TL's name. If you wish to know the whole story on that feel free to PM me.

                          10/10 WOULD AVOID AGAIN!

    8. WALKING MEH: THE MEH STRIKES BACK

Have you gone in any of the walking dead houses? Yes? Then you have been in this one. Not much more to say than that -oh wait there is! I actually got lost in this house. Specifically in the warehouse room, I made a wrong turn and the zombies in the corner were pointing where to go while grunting and moaning. It was kinda funny. I will give a special mention to the revolving door scene, I thought that was interesting.

                     SCARES: 1/10

                     SCENERY: 4/10

    9. ASYLUM IN WONDERLAND

This house was nice in its design. The scares were not that great. I was hearing confusion over the ending with the Red Queen slicing Alice's throat. My thoughts on this is that the Red Queen killed the last of Alice's sanity, dooming her to be trapped in wonderland and the asylum forever. I got one scare from the White Rabbit as I did not expect anyone before tunnel. Speaking of tunnel, the tunnel actually made me dizzy for the first time. In past houses I could walk without grabbing the rails, but in this house I had to.

  16. Ah good to know that they have an Icon there. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't one of the look-a-like "ushers" that they have walking around that isn't the real icon/usher. I caught a glimpse of a girl version of the usher yesterday. Thanks!

the usher in the photo is in cast B (I think?) Of the icons scarezone. But this usher knows the history and can do the speaking pattern/voice of the actor who played the usher perfectly. He is spot on with his performance.

  17. I guess I will start this off with two pictures from the Scareactor Dining.

Awkward posing made for this photo: MJJ1yHN.jpg

All in all the dining experience was great for a one time thing to do. Also having one on one time with this usher in the photos was great! He was into his role and did such an amazing job!
