  1. The only way they would have a scareactor in the vehicle is if it was a neutral role, like a soon-to-be-victim. That's what I think anyhow.
  2. An in-progress sketch of Chance that I've been working on for a little while today.
  3. First off, some done in '08. And one sketched up a few minutes ago since I can't sleep. Cropped for an "ICU" sort of feel.. More to come later!
  4. Possibly... Bloody Mary the brand, and Bloody Mary brand of makeup used on the actress, and Bloody Mary the design. I just don't know what Universal was thinking by hiring on a makeup woman who had previous work with other amusement park haunts using the brand name Bloody Mary, Six Flags over Texas' "Bloody Mary's Circus of Fear" in '07 using her Bloody Mary from her series of comics "The Tales of Bloody Mary". She even goes by Bloody Mary as her industry nickname, allegedly, given to her on her work on Pumpkinhead II. They should have seen this whole copyright issue coming..
  5. I can definitely see Jack and the Usher in the flame images.. I think the Storyteller as well.. Eddie, then?
  6. From the construction thread to here because it's more appropriate... Well, both Eddie and Cindy both have fires in their original backstories. However, Eddie's story was changed for him to be Jack's little brother, so technically that possibility was erased and he has only ruled over RUN now, so that's a dead end isn't it? If I remember correctly... Cindy and her father's backstories both involve the fire (the burnt wood), but Cindy's original story had her running into the woods (trees) when that had happened with a disfigured face. Now, either her doll's face had melded with her own face after that or her spirit still retrains her flawless face, explaining her appearance in Shadows of the Past last year. What else do we have? A swingset? Children play on swing sets... but what of the valedictorian, Nightmare Man, and the bedclothes codenames? Cindy and the Boogeyman working hand in hand? o_O
  7. I was just thinking about that site for a while now, do you think that it may somehow hold a vague clue about 2010's scarezones? Maybe in the form of the LT's research data under the Classified files? LegendaryTruth might be coming back this year, that much we may know. This is a part of the three-year arc of the HHN story, so storywise.. could LT have been planning their future investigations beyond the Dr. Agana case, somehow? Looking at the research data.... there are the first and last letters used in the titles of each scarezone presented in 2008: AGL3 = American Gothic AWL1 = Asylum in Wonderland BML2 = Bloody Mary (the, uh, archway video I would guess to be included and counted as a part of the investigation, as well as the RoF maze) FTL1 = Fractured Tales PWL1 = Path of the Wicked SBL3 = Streets of Blood TSL1 = The Skoolhouse Now... there are 7 other cases still Classified. Last year, I was thinking that this would act as a hint toward 2009's arrangement, but seeing the titles I saw no connection I had discredited that personal theory. The numbers.. I'm not completely sure of what they went off of, but they could be related to the TCE scale provided under alerts. Originally I was thinking they correlated to the scarezone's particular location in the park, in thirds, after all.... Reflections of Fear was in the back of the park, in a lonely third of the area. Skoolhouse, Path of the Wicked, Fractured Tales, and Asylum in Wonderland being in another third, while Streets of Blood and American Gothic being in the final third. AHL2 AIL3 CDL2 NYL3 SLL2 SWL1 WML2 AH, AI, CD, NY, SL, SW, and WM... could they stand for the scarezone, and newly arranged zone? There were seven files for 2008, and there were seven case files yet to be revealed. Four files for L2, two for L3, and one for L1... very much like the arrangement of 2008's.. What do you think?
  8. Oh, I get it... It can be modern views of death for the parade buildings to maybe contrast the idea of the Greek/Ancient Underworld view, can't it?
  9. It should have been: "Yes, I drink but I do not drink to have fun/better enjoy the event." "Yes, I drink at the event to better enjoy it." "No, I do not drink and do not believe it is necessary to enjoy the event." "No, I don't drink at the event. But if I could I would to enjoy myself." "I can't/I'm Underage."
  10. I would of course like Creature from the Black Lagoon as a stage show, well, musical again anyway. But, it failed at Uni Hollywood.. it seems that it is just not the place for shows like that anymore, the crowd is just too different. I don't know if casting had to do with it, or writing... but those are things that can be easily changed. Hollywood got rid of Beetlejuice, and yet... it seems to be thriving in Orlando.. could the show possibly get a new life over there, and actually not be cancelled after one season? It would be nice to see a good turnaround for the show that way. Hollywood cancelling the show gave me one less reason to go, and now the only reason I go is for HHN, the backlot tour, and the year-round House of Horrors (because it gives me a small fix toward HHN). Orlando needs a HoH, it could really help you guys out from HHN-withdraw.
  11. Well it would seem to me that the casting of a ghost in the Soundstage 23 house, already spoken of to be a Hades/Underworld house, supports that previous speculation. Whether it's a ghost in a River Styx setting, or just one roaming about the underworld is just yet to be determined though. Very interesting. And so for Tent 2, we have 'bed victim', 'pitchfork' roles along with the scene names of 'observation deck' and 'military storage'. Accompanying them now, is a 'Patient' and 'full/half dow'. The 'patient' I get, but not the other. Could the 'dow' in those roles be an abbreviation or otherwise interpreted as D.O.W.? If that were the case, what would each letter be?
  12. I recall buying only a total of two drinks out of the 4 nights I was able to attend last year, and it wasn't for the purpose of getting drunk.. I don't really drink to get drunk anyway, and if I ever drink it's rare anyway. The specialty drink, "Hair of the Wolf" is what I got, and I think it's safe to say that it's Uni's grand evil plan to make one buy more than two to get effected much. I'm on vacation, but I'm still aware of what I'm doing and I drink responsibly... one for the night and I'm done, thanks. So yes, I may buy one or two... but no, it's not necessary for me to get one to enjoy myself and I don't put it on my list of things I absolutely must do while at the event. If I pass by a stand and see there's not much of a wait, sure, I'll buy one and only one that night... it's just not in me to run right for the nearest 'bar' and order up every time I pass one.
  13. That's why I keep my eyes front and my hands out during those segments.
  14. As in a second Chance at life. Doesn't really piss me off, personally. But, I don't know if I was seeing things when I was watching videos, but does Chance have two scars running along her mouth line? A little off-topic, but I just need that clarified..
  15. With it being fun to toy around with possibilities that can work as an idea. The 'Valedictorian' could reference to one of the old icons, possibly a memory of Albert... or maybe even the 'Nightmare Man' can be him, if even a twisted form? If he is the 'Nightmare Man', could Cindy have even subconsciously feared her own father? An innocent portion of her mind (blond/"pure" Cindy?) knowing full well of the atrocities that Albert was performing and creating this figment of her imagination, along with her toys? Could it be the alternative idea showing through? Could I just be overthinking it... bah, probably..
  16. Yes but didn't the portraits in Scream House: Resurrection depict her with blonde hair in at least one portrait? That was kind of puzzling to me... some sort of underlying dualism to Cindy?
  17. All of these are giving me more and more reasons to ditch my little point and shoot Sony CyberShot in favor of a DSLR like I should have purchased when I got the CyberShot.... perhaps after I store up my HHN trip funds...
  18. I don't have a problem with the security checkpoint, although.. yeah.. sometimes it can be an ineffective precaution. But I think it's better with the addition of the metal detector than them just "checking" your bags and be done with you, makes for a slightly more stable peace of mind, for the general public. I'm a little used to detectors going off on me by now, anyway, with two metal rods in my back.. it's just normal now although a little awkward feeling to explain in some cases. But wow, when in the month was this fish-hooks and razor blades incident?
  19. Well last year, early in the season I was able to go to each maze plus see both Rocky Horror and Bill & Ted during the course of the night. And the first maze I did go to last year was The Spawning, so I guess I had that sort of plan in mind ahead of time... then again, I wanted to go to The Spawning first anyway so it worked out fine. Although I had done the reverse and headed to Saw afterwards then on to LitC, etc. But it's good to see it works out the other way, thanks.
  20. Very well then, thank you for the advice and I'll get right on ordering it.
  21. Okay so... I'll be there from October 20-25th. Are crowds larger, and wait times longer during those last weeks of the event? I'm holding off from buying my FFP+ because I don't know how if the Express add-on will be necessary.
  22. From what I've seen of various images and video, they were sort of like the "creatures" from The Village but not so much, although I think even most of the background music was from the movie's soundtrack. I think that some of the Harvest of the Soul characters came back for American Gothic in 2008, if I remember correctly. Someone could possibly verify that, the Pumpkinheads/souls and the deer skull looking creatures in tattered robes? But let's see... willow huts, yeah, a place where a SA can be stationed to spring out at those that wander too close. They used that sort of thing in 2005 in the Cemetery Mines scarezone didn't they? .... As for the whole Sprung Tent 2 thing, it could be a house inspired by The Crazies. If they are using the cheaper, no-license approach that could be a possibility. I was doing a little reading up on it, and it could be that. While not outright saying "HEY LOOK EVERYBODY, WE'RE DOING A 'THE CRAZIES' HOUSE!!!" they can tweak the maze to flow properly and still remind people of the movie, while not being blatant about it. As the others have mentioned, Universal has gone that route before and still managed a something decent. Besides, it can follow up to the general theme of Deadtropolis, Containment, etc.. the fear of military caused viral or scientific disaster and incidents. If that lantern is revealing the shadows of our fears through the ages, then couldn't it shed light on things we collectively fear? Synthetic viral outbreak is a modern fear, although diseases that had claimed human lives has also been a trend through history. Combine the two, and perhaps "the Crazies"-like scenario can find its place. Neither supporting, nor opposing the idea, just stating my opinion. Hm... as for the other things we have a slight idea for but not including Hollywood Blvd., how can other things possibly work out for this whole overall fear theme.. Well for starters, the Greek scarezone can target our basic childhood fears of monsters and tackle what people had feared or believed about various themes and had attempted to explain through mythology. They feared what they didn't understand at that point in history, which were personified as the monsters we know so fondly. Sirens were originally believed to be creatures with female voices and figures, and yet the perception of them were modeled most likely off of native birds of those regions that would sound similar to what they thought it was. Cyclopes were modeled off of a deformity. Scylla and Charybdis were natural geographical features. If Sprung Tent 1 is an Egyptian Tomb, while not totally a Mummy-inspired house, it could include not only mummies but possibly figures from myth itself. Set? Anupu/Anubis? Chaos and Death, right there. And given the nature of the event, Anubis would not just be there to weigh the heart... or if he was, would he have beheld the weight of our hearts, and saw it weighed more than the feather of Ma'at, deeming us only fit to behold the demon Ammit and become her next meal? Even if it is in a museum, it can still involve it. The possible frat house... well given the scenario of a brutal murder taking place in it, well, it's probably inspired by Sorority Row which has been previously mentioned. Another modern fear some might have, venturing out on your own in college and what horrible things could happen, a killer could be on the loose on your campus... haven't we heard this sort of urban legend before? But again, these are just things that are swirling through my head at 3 in the morning... so they can be taken any way.
  23. Well to look at it in another way.. What was Horror Comes Home like for Sweet 16, wasn't that a photo op area filled with random past characters with limited scare opportunities also? Wouldn't this be the same thing?
  24. What if this scarezone on Hollywood Blvd. is Shadows of the Past but as an expanded area. That might just be what it could be.. and possibly a (don't moan at this, now) photo op area, even though most of the members here hate it so much. I mean, the assortment of character names we've been given are randomly given out. Your typical scarezone is somewhat more put together in character placement, isn't it? Well.. it could be a welcome and goodbye to the characters you've all come to know over the years. But... aren't chainsaw and stilt characters in the same area a disaster waiting to happen?
  25. Well one thing that the scarezone Siren role can be, indeed, beautiful women there to seduce your attention... like how Hollywood has the Go-Go dancers. I recall seeing go-go's on the videos for one of the past years, they were wearing vampire-like facial prosthetics I think.. could these 'Sirens' be these types of SAs? Something to distract you while a more aggressive scare has the chance to pounce?
