  1. I don't think they'll reveal AVP until a little later. That's kind of a big gun to pull out early.
  2. We used to think it was a budgetary or crowd issue. But I think it turned out that they just didn't have any concepts that would work for dual park runs.
  3. Alright, since no one seems to be certain on whether we're getting just aliens or avp, I'm going to make things worse for everyone by dragging this dead horse along even further. I can't remember the person who uploaded the video of the hints to all the houses, the one that had a planet that everyone said was Earth from orbit. I assume you'll remember it. Anyways, I didn't really see the planet as being that important, however. I thought of it as, well... Just a planet from orbit. Then I thought of this: "Nuke the entire site from ORBIT." Maybe it's just me. I'm curious as to what's going on with that dead guy in the press in that picture. Haunted house in a tobacco plant or something? "Smoke em' while you've got em'?" (Please don't make that the house name.)
  4. I also think the decision for AVP comes from the fact that if you have one or the other, you'll piss off people from either side of the ballpark. Unfortunately, we know what happens when you try to please everyone, so we'll see how this goes.
  5. I wouldn't be too quick to rule out multiple environment types for the alien/avp house. Things have a habit of getting buried in both series, ships and hives included. (Just for note, outside of the films, Xenomorphs have reached Earth on at least a few occasions.)
  6. I should also mention that the Twilight zone is so popular that it basically spawned another series called "the outer limits" which itself was resurrected in the same way Twilight zone was. Also, whether a show is good or not guarantee it runs forever. Stories have an ending, sometimes shows get canceled due to the fact that they take too much money to produce, sometimes people drop dead, people quit. I wouldn't say TWD is immune to this either, since they can't even keep down a show runner. Since when did our spec thread become about the finer points of art and cinematic theory?
  7. I know that. The thing is literally one of my favorite horror movies and probably the only one that gave me any sense of dread in my entire life. Ugh... Anyways, we'll probably get a trailer around the time the event starts or a little bit before and they'll probably play up it's appearance much like they did for The thing prequel. Probably with a screen that plays and loops the trailer or something as you go through the line.
  8. I mentioned doom back when we were discussing CC clues. I hope they do make it a house someday, though. I heard they had greenlit a reboot of the doom movie franchise but that was about a year or two ago. I know the thing was rebooted but... I honestly don't know if the average person even knows that. I went with some people that year and told them it was a prequel but they didn't believe me until they were screaming out of the exit. Other than that, though. I don't know of any movie they've done that wasn't something that already existed. Although, this is Dracula. It too is based off of preexisting content.
  9. Doom was never a house. Also the doom movie was loosely based on "Doom 3" and "Doom 3: Resurrection of evil." Both released in 2005. Not the original game series made by ID software in 1993 (Doom one). I suppose you could say the novelization of the original games were also an inspiration. Also wasn't hhn 21's "the thing" a house before the movie was released? Essentially functioning like an interactive teaser?
  10. Man I still can't believe I brought this up as a joke earlier in the thread, on April fools day, and now it seems fairly probable. I'm excited... but I'm also really weirded out.
  11. I thought the most probable outcome for the "prop master" would be the return of Fear. With all of the strange circular connections to past events and the return of Jack and a few other icons last year (as cameos) and now Jack coming back for real, I thought it would make logical sense. Fear is the "master" of Halloween horror nights, resides in the prop house in the lantern along with all of the other icons. Plus there were rumblings of the return of LT, and last year was the follow up to the lantern incident and we saw how it effected the organization. Although, at this point, it's a toss up. I'm not holding my breath for anything.
  12. Cassi clue 12, which has a few vampire related references. Primarily the star in the background which means something very similar to "synergy." Can't remember what the actual word was. Synchronicity maybe?
  13. Or perhaps they just managed to pay for the rights to use it in the theme park? I dunno, I'm still on the fence about Alien being at the event.
  14. We sort of talked about Resident Evil once, but that hint was actually the walking dead. People also mentioned Bioshock, but... That's super highly unlikely to happen because the company that made it flat out died earlier. Otherwise, not really. No.
  15. Unblurring it is almost impossible because the image is saved as one entire layer, but if I posted it on here, I bet someone who cared more than I do about this could do a whole lot more.
  16. I don't know about posting what I have because things like this have lead to trouble in the past, if I'm not mistaken. And once someone picks up what I have and runs with it, I can't put the genie back in the bottle. Waiting for staff to decide on this one.
  17. I'm trying, but I've reached a bit of a dead end. I could post what I have, if it was okay, but I'd rather do it in another thread because I don't want speculation to get ruined. To be honest, I don't want to know stuff this early.
  18. This doesn't seem like a hint, it more seems like Cassi is making fun of people who don't want TWD back. Anyways, turning the brightness down and the contrast up, this is youtube comments layered over the putrefaction hint.
  19. Maybe. Although I suspect the reason they revealed this house this early is because it came as a surprise to no one, it may be a big IP for them, but this was most likely a throw away announcement.
  20. Most likely, I don't know how they're going to make it any bigger than a sound stage house, though. We shall see, I suppose.
  21. Looks like my prediction of this being our first announced house last night was correct. Biggest house ever, eh? Maybe this explains the disaster queue situation? Not entirely sure on that, so don't quote me on it. I'm at least expecting that the walking dead will be the focus of at least one scarezone, though. Also, the main site updated and it still is very much a "generic site." Seems under the attractions it says Diagon alley will in fact not be open, so... For those who were still wondering for some reason, yeah.
