  1. Nobody is ignoring anything. It's flawed, end is a poor argument. What are the flaws? There has been no legitimate reason other than there weren't enough actors on the streets. On a preview night. Which did not have a full cast. And any kind of judgement based on EP Night fundamentally flawed in the first place. It happens every year. A lot of HHN faithful have been gunning for Universal this year because of the changes. And frankly these are the only arguments I'm seeing. This.
  2. Again, too few actors is more than likely attributed to this being a PREVIEW night. I know for a fact they were not running at full capacity last night. Has anybody ever sat through a movie screening? Say months in advance? It's a jarring sight when you see an entire FX heavy sequence not finished and in its place are animatics or storyboards, representing what will in essence be the finished product. It's really hard to gauge how well the film will turn out in the end. Imagine seeing a screening of Super 8, without the monster being shown at the end. Which I have. Amongst others. The only common theme I'm hearing, is still bickering because hardcore HHN fans just don't like the fact that Universal has changed things up this year. Nothing said so far makes me think the roaming hordes aren't working. With the Street Experience as large and spread out as it is meant to be, there are bound to be some growing pains. Complaining about costuming and make-up is still just personal taste. I may have a built in bias though when it comes to the vampires. A friend of mine is working on the make-up for them this year. So I digress.
  3. What are these "fundamental flaws"? I know a lot of the street actors were following a camera crew around last night as well. Plus, the street staff wasn't at full capacity last night from what I gather on the inside. The only complaint I'm seeing is that people prefer the set scare zone concept over the roaming concept. That's not a flaw, but a matter of taste. This.
  4. This. The commercial doesn't mention The Walking Dead at all. And the extended ads promote Alice Cooper and Silent Hill as well as The Walking Dead. The only blatant over advertising I see for The Walking Dead, are the Publix displays. Outside of that, they are promoting the big IP's pretty evenly. The billboards are even separate. I'm actually surprised they haven't pushed The Walking Dead more. As far as the Facebook stuff goes, whether it's lame or not is irrelevant. They ARE trying to give things their own moment. For better or worse.
  5. Lol. Well, in the commercial, looks like there are some werewolf looking things in the group of monsters that corner the kids. It does look like they are on stilts or something though, so I don't know.
  6. I would have to disagree with this. Outside of the HHN faithful, I don't think very many people knew there would be a Zombie/Walker Legion. It was taken off the website faster than a ravenous Zombie eating brains. I myself would not have known it was even there if I didn't check here, or checked the Tweets of the HHN faithful I follow. And I checked the website around 1ish that day. I personally would be ecstatic if there was no Zombie/Walker Legion. The Walking Dead House is enough Zombie for me. Plus, it distances the event farther from people thinking The Walking Dead is the "theme" for the year. I also like the fact it keeps that product away from The Iniquitus story line. It keeps that aspect of HHN grounded in HHN. However, I don't think the Legion is gone. Here's my train of thought. After all, nobody really knows what's going on behind the scenes. I believe it was said earlier about the Legions more or less, will be set somewhere. Let's call it a home-base for sake of argument. Universal is going to play-up the whole "There's no Escape Thing", but honestly we have to be realistic about this. Logistically, it's probably not feesable to have all six of the stated Legions be going off willy-nilly. If it happens, then great, but I believe the stated Legions likely be set somewhere. It's even evident over in Kid-Zone that more than likely the Traditionals will be over there. Not putting it on the map only really fools the mind into thinking things are everywhere. The Iniquitus I believe will be walking around, checking up on all the Legions so to speak (I do believe they too will have a home-base though). If the Walkers/Zombie Legion exists, they will be roaming. It makes sense to me. They are Zombies right? It is a cemetery. Zombies are good a two things: eating brains and wandering aimlessly looking for brains. The Zombies may be more less just set dressing, only people. It's obvious they have plans for Zombies, but took them off the website. Why is anybody's guess, but I personally suspect that it's AMC related. They may not have been able to just call them Zombies, because of AMC. As far as the lagoon goes, I am hearing a thing or two about the lagoon being used for atmosphere. How far they plan to take that thought, is anybody's guess.
  7. I'm pretty sure HHN X had sliders. I can't remember if XI did or not.
  8. Well, those fountains may make for some awesome "blood gushing" beauty. Some red lighting instead of the norm goes a long way. Wouldn't put it past Uni to do something throughout the night. Not a show, but something a little extra to add to the atmosphere..
  9. These tombstones are rising from the ground at both entrances to Central Park. So I would assume so.
  10. I too noticed the werewolf looking thing, which makes me a happy person. . However, I also noticed it looked like it was on stilts.
  11. Me too. It actually kind of says it's not all about zombies, which I like. Zombies are just one of the things you have to face once you're inside . It's simple, shot well, effective, and gets the point across.
  12. 1. Gothic 2. Universal's House of Horrors 3. Penn & Teller: New(kd) Las Vegas 4. The Walking Dead: Dead Inside 5. Welcome To Silent Hill 6. Dead End 7. Alice Cooper: Welcome To My Nightmare
  13. I'm personally hoping for werewolf type beasts.
  14. Me too. This stuff with the "street experience" and The Iniquitus is really intriguing me. I think I am more excited about this prospect than the actual Houses. I wonder if over the next 21 days, things will slowly unravel and details about these Iniquitus will emerge.
  15. I am really digging how this "street experience" is turning out.
  16. That also sheds some light one something else: Seems the IP Houses will be different for both parks (Silent Hill, The Walking Dead).
  17. Living inside our Gothic cathedral? Hmm... Icon?
  18. I think I may be the only person in the world that finds the idea of possessed teddy bears, living in a Gothic cathedral a truly great idea. Lol. As a matter of fact hmm.....
  19. I do believe the guy who tweeted about the house, just hash tagged the word Gothic. I don't know if he's referring to it as a name, or what.
  20. I agree. True, but what if it IS the classic monsters they are unearthing at Universal with their digging? Creatures of the night are clearly vampires which points to Dracula. Wolf howls points to the Wolf Man. The monster growls at the end of the audio seem a little too "devilish" to be Frankenstein, but who knows.
  21. The phone calls are probably teasing for whatever theme, story, or Icon they have planned for this year. I don't think it's singling out a specific house.
  22. The voice does, but creatures of the night (vampires IE Dracula)? Wolf howls (Wolf Man)? Monster groans (Frankenstein)? I am truly stumped for what Uni has planned right now.
