  1. I devour electronic tones with my neighbor youth.

  2. I missed out on Home for the Holidays, so I wouldn't mind that...but if we were to be realistic, they wouldn't repeat like that. But, I would just like to have the same concept of that house again (going through multiple houses in a neighborhood). I think it would be really neat. It sounded awesome how everyone described it, and I would like to see it for myself. It's times like these where I wonder if I should have gone to HHN instead of Howl-O-Scream back in 2007....granted I had fun at HOS (it was awesome), but I bet if I went to HHN in 2007, I probably would have returned for 18 and then only missed 16. Interesting thoughts.... *tear* haha, but it is what it is.
  3. I remember someone bringing that up on the HHN 22 Facebook fan page (not the Unearthed page); this was back during HHN 22. I don't even...
  4. For those interested in more about the number 23 and its symbolism, here is a link: http://www.ridingthebeast.com/numbers/nu23.php It states basically everything JW said, but a tiny bit more, and it also goes more in-depth on the religious overtones. But this begs the question, will they try to employ the number itself into this year's event, maybe or maybe not. I'm very interested to find out what they will do. Also note, it is 2013. I wonder if that could also make it's way into this year as well. Only time will tell....and maybe good speculation and rumors later in the year...hopefully.
  5. AHS: Asylum is all over.

  6. Yeah that would be really cool if they did that, they would really be able to develop the different characters which would be awesome. And I completely agree, I think it would for sure encourage better performances. And it's good to frame reality into wishful thinking (as some others have done before). It's so exciting that sometimes one can get a bit carried away and lost in wishes. Also, there's so much small stuff that goes into the event, so it's always nice to learn stuff like that.
  7. Well this was all just part of a perfect dream I knew I wouldn't receive, which is alright...I mean this is wishful thinking. I may have been misguided on the scareactors being able to receive the same role portion, but it's harder to know this stuff when you're not a scareactor or don't look so into it, which I didn't feel was necessary here because again, this was all just a want/a wishful thought and nothing more. So my mistake on that behalf. Also, the adjective I had used in my previous post does kind of sum things up about all of this - "frivolous."
  8. Haha, well I know there is a lot to do with Traditional based Halloween, and I'd love to see them do something new (along with the Skool Children esq Traditionals). I know that's asking for a lot, BUT this is a person who wants a year to be based ALL around Traditional Halloween (not sure if that would ever happen, but it's just a frivolous want I have), and plus this is just wishful thinking. But yes, I'm obsessed with those sentiments and that great nostalgia. I mean I am a Morphan for many reasons, haha.
  9. That's a shiny photo you got there, JW. :3 But, man! What we know as Traditional or Skool Children masks are becoming more popular than ever before. I know they've been around for some time now - the use of them in scary, creepy, and chilling ways, because it works. Seeing a human being wearing an animal mask is already odd enough, add a random location (railroads, woods, ect) and then make it creepy (as if it already isn't)- it all works because it doesn't fit and doesn't make sense; it's disorienting, and that's the name of the game. That is one of the biggest reasons why I love that kind of imagery so much. But, as I said, it's becoming popular, whether in the use to be creepy, or just odd and ironic. I mean if you do a Tumblr search of people wearing animal masks, you'll find a lot of pictures. I have nothing wrong with this, like I said, I enjoy this imagery and think it's cool - I just hope it doesn't loose it's charm, especially in the horror industry. It would be a shame to see an over saturation of this. I mean that is possible...a lot of people view traditional things as scary, even when they weren't meant to be. I mean look up old fashioned Halloween costumes...the supposed to be cuter ones often are the creepier ones, which would make sense why they are being used nowadays. Nothing wrong with this film for using them, nothing wrong at all....I'm just saying I hope they don't become overused in the future. They're creepy, and I'd like them to remain with that status. *And just a note in case someone brings it up....I know I said I don't want them to become overused, yet I want Traditionals back for 23. Yes, that is true...but I want them back to make up chances that I didn't get to make, and visit the dynamic characters once more. Characters...now that's the main reason. If they wait a long time to use them again, then there is less potential to have the same actors return again in their roles, and it was the roles and unique characters that made Traditionals so special and great. This is a legion driven by the actors, and if too long goes by- it might not be the same without them. Now, I didn't mean to turn this into a pro-Traditonals for 23 speech, just trying to avoid people calling me out on my "I don't want them to be overused" comment. So, I don't want them every year - that would be overkill, I just left 22 feeling incomplete with them - not a proper ending. So with that and other reasons, I'd like them back for 23, but after I do think they should be stored away for a while.
  10. That is not a bad idea at all! I grew up with those, and so it would be really cool to see how they would translate to a house. I feel like it would be difficult to do them justice, but just pondering what could and what would be done with them is some very good food for thought. I could see it as a variety house so to speak...now I am a person who loves the flow of an HHN house (like we all do), but if this was ever to become a house, I think for the benefit of the house itself, it would need to drop the flow and kind of be a smorgasbord of all the great moments from the stories. For example, some of my favorite moments (which don't have any relation) would be: 1.) The story where the lady attends the morning church service (not the usual one she attends), and it's full of all the dead people (but she doesn't know they're all dead). Eventually she starts seeing old friends that were recently deceased and things like that, and then then she starts freaking out and the corpses begin to realize this. Imagine a large room/church setting where the pews are filled with decaying corpses (scareactors). That would be pretty amazing. And don't bullshit us, I'd like the majority to be scareactors, not like Silent Hill where there was only one live nurse and the rest were mannequins. 2.) The cornfield and other moments from Harold (demented scarecrow). Those are the two moments I can remember off the top of my head, but there are so many that would really fit well into a house. It would be similar to Scary Tales in a way. Now, for those not familiar with Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark, here is what the art looks like: And here's someones' own art based off one of the stories, "Sewer Rat" I believe. They could do some cool stuff with these stories. I just wonder if they'd be able to pull it off... Here's another idea: IF we wanted a house with a flow, they could create and overall atmosphere based off Scary Stories and then use scareactors as a variety of characters from the books, so it would be more of a tribute. Just a thought. Oh, and I'm including this video because I can. "Oh no, not potato face."
  11. Get Express. Kidding, I know that is out of the question for some people for various reasons. That's why I save up now so I can get FFP w/ Express. Worth every penny, especially with how crowds were last year (and could potentially be this year).
  12. I know it would be very possible for HHN to have a show with monsters and dancing like you said. Howl-O-Scream has a show like that (at least they did when I went in 2007). So finding talent and writing something like that is possible. But, will they? Who knows.
  13. The first video says "HHN 13" when that was HHN 14....unless they meant it was the 13th year or something like that (which it was). 13th year, 14th event. But whatever, not important. But that was a pretty awesome opening. And yeah I agree that HHN should return to its older ways, or as Chris put it - grow their balls back. I mean Family Guy constantly pushes the envelope on what they can and cannot do, and I recall Seth MacFarlane (the show's creator) saying that he takes the show as far as Fox will allow him to. I don't know if the rules have gotten more strict or something, but they should make the event as dark and as scary as possible or as much as they are aloud to, and I know that's easier said than done, but they shouldn't be holding back (if they are).
  14. Today was Beth's (the girl that played Rosie the Fox Girl) birthday! For her bday, I made her some GIFs from my Tiger Astronaut YouTube videos. I thought I'd post them here...it felt appropriate. 1.) Morphan Parkour 2.) Rosie 3.) Rosie - "Hey" & Waving 4.) Tigernaut - YES! 5.) Tigernaut - Happy Dance 6.) Rosie - "All I wanted..." 7.) Rosie - Crying Face Happy birthday, Beth!
  15. WOW - I cannot believe no one has brought this up just yet. Well, we all know the Evil Dead remake is coming out this year, and some people want it as a house (I would be one of those). BUT, that is not what this is about.... So, we had the Rocky Horror tribute show a couple years back, and with all the Evil Dead talk plus the fact we need a new show, why not do a tribute to Evil Dead The Musical? That would be awesome in my opinion. "Do the Necronomicon!" I can already see myself singing along!
  16. Listening to Chopin like a badass.

  17. I was thinking about Candy Man for some odd reason and just how that would translate to a house. The first thing my brain jumped to was a section of the house being within the walls. Then the thought of having to go through walls reminded me of the movie: The Tool Box Murders. I don't know how likely either of these houses would be and frankly I don't really care, but a house that goes through passages ways behind the walls would be really awesome. That was one thing about Candy Man that really creeped me out, and I liked that. But, would going through walls and stuff be a little bit too similar to The People Under the Stairs? ^ Just a really random bit of wishful thinking, haha
  18. I'll still have to give it a go to make an official opininon on the subject, but as most modern horror films, it just seems ehh... Again, I will see it to make a better opinion....
  19. "Everyone is here except for me..."
