  1. People are counting Cassi clue #14 as 2 clues? See previous page with updated guesses.
  2. A Revised version of my guesses... There are 14 Dr. Jimmy performances and cats, there are apparently 15 Cassi clues (but #4 doesn't count for some reason). They all should tie... Dr. Jimmy #1 Masquerade (Phantom of the Opera) could have ties to Cassi clue #11 (Skeletons Dancing - Danse Macabre) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat with face mask) = possibly something similiar to the Mask-A-Raid scarezone from Hollywood Dr. Jimmy #2 You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (Annie) could have ties to Cassi clues #5 (To Market, To Market) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cats taking back the street) = Purge Scare Zone Dr. Jimmy #3 New Orleans (Simpsons) could have ties to Cassi clue #9 (How Terrible is Wisdom - Pentagram) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Voo Doo cat) = Voodoo/Gypsy Caravan in Central Park Dr. Jimmy #4 Three Little Maids from School (Mikado) could have ties to Cassi clue #8 (Some Are So Blind - Go! Board game) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Anime Cat) = Vampire/Demon/Geishas in Sting Alley Dr. Jimmy #5 I want to be Rainbow High (Evita) could have ties to Cassi clue #6 (Two Brothers - which I thought fit AVP better) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (contestant Cat from Face Off) = Face Off character scare zone *Codename Evac - Dr. Jimmy #6 Stars (Les Miserables) could have ties to Cassi clue #2 (Luck favors the bold) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat ready to fight xenomorph) = Alien (AVP) *Codename Home/Captain/Halloween- Dr. Jimmy #7 Home (The Wiz) could have ties to Cassi clues #1 - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat holding knife) = Halloween *Codename?TWD - Dr. Jimmy #8 Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Monty Python Life of Brian) could have ties to Cassi clue #3 (Tool - Decomposition) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Hands looking at cat picture) = The Walking Dead *Codename Ritual - Dr. Jimmy #9 Kiddy Widdy Winkies (Chiddy Chiddy Bang Bang) could have ties to Cassi Clue #7 Two Little Foxes - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat with glowing eyes under the bed) = I really wanted Cassi clue #7 to be Sleepy Hollow, but looks to be some type of original Boogeyman house. *Codename Synergy - Dr. Jimmy #10 I Get a Kick Out of You (Created by Cole Porter, originally sung by Ethel Merman in Anything Goes covered by Frank Sinatra) could possibly tie to Cassi Clue #12. (Inverted Fairy Star-What depth) - Dr. Jimmy cats (cat dressed as Dracula) = Dracula Untold *Codename Smile - Dr. Jimmy #11. Pure Imagination (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory sung by Gene Wilder) - personally I thought this clue was for Legendary Truth... but it could be Cassi clue #10 (Mad Max Clown Guy) (To Market, To Market Nursery Swine) Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat dressed as a clown) = Clown House Dr. Jimmy #12 Guys and Dolls most likely ties to Cassi clue #13 (Amanda & Annabelle ) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Cat Doll w/bowtie) Doll scare zone or house? Dr. Jimmy #13a. Food, Glorious Food Written by Lionel Bart and performed in Oliver!) - ties to Cassi clue #14 (MA Feast) - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Indian Gear Cat w/leaves) = Roanoke Lost Colony - Wendigo? Dr. Jimmy #13b. Sunrise, Sunset (performed in Fidler on the Roof) ties to Cassi clue #14. (Mexico show), - Dr. Jimmy's cats (Mayan Bat Statue) = possibly would have been From Dusk Till Dawn Codenames Charlie and Crows could go a couple different places, so I'm not going to commit yet.
  3. Thanks ^ And there we go... Samantha Barks is the correct answer. Assuming the spec is correct, anyone know why Halloween is being put into a sprung tent? Oh... and on a side note, for those interested (not sure if it has been posted here yet) Diagon Alley will have it's grand opening July 8th.
  4. Mine as well... 1. Cabin in the Woods 2. An American Werewolf in London 3. Evil Dead 4. The Walking Dead 5. Resident Evil 6. Urban Legends: La LLorona 7. Afterlife: Death's Vengeance 8. Havoc 2: Derailed
  5. I've heard a few times that Baba Yaga is in the movie, but there is no one with that name in the cast list. If it is Baba Yaga, she is going under a different name, is Samantha Barks since she has no label next to her name, or she doesn't speak in the movie. I see a bunch of vampires, military people and townsfolk. No titles that catch my eye initially. See here... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0829150/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
  6. As long as the show is making all the parties involved enough money, the show will go on. In order for it to make money, it needs fans. Clearly it has an abundance of that since Universal was willing to bring back the series for a 3rd straight year. More groundbreaking for ya! The Walking Dead is also already in the works of having a spinoff as well. But enough about The Walking Dead... we already know we're getting that 1. So, are we getting 4 or 5 ips?
  7. I'm not saying that The Twilight Zone didn't have an impact. What I was pointing out is that it's time has passed (at least for now). More people are interested in knowing what is going to happen on The Walking Dead season 5. And I hate to break it to you, but The Walking Dead is also a groundbreaking series. The Twilight Zone also wasn't totally horror based either. Which Native American picture?
  8. So has The Walking Dead. Well... No crap is doesn't hold a candle to the comic. There are limitations that won't allow the show to be as good as it could be because it is on regular tv. There's no point debating this here. The fact that you are making a comparison between the popularity of The Walking Dead with that of Justin Bieber shows where your head is at. If the show wasn't good, it would lose viewership, not gain. For the amount of work and cash needed to pull it off for today's audience, it probably wouldn't be a worthwhile investment for any studio to make a series like The Twilight Zone. If I had to guess, that is most likely the reason why there hasn't been anything similar. There was Tales from the Crypt a while back, or was that not up to your horror standards either?
  9. If the Twilight Zone is the best ever, why isn't it on anymore? Why doesn't it have roughly 15-16 million people watching it? I bet when they do those marathons occasionally late at night, they must blow the ratings out of the water. The shows aren't the same anyways. One is a compilation of relatively short horror stories, which anyone could do, while the other is an ongoing series which is significantly harder to keep people watching each week.
  10. mystiquephreeq... I assume when you say, "first Dracula based movie done in several years", you mean done by Universal? If not, that statement would be incorrect. Dracula 3d (2013), Dracula Reborn (2012), Terror of Dracula (2012), Saint Dracula 3d (2012) and although not a movie... 1 season of NBC's Dracula which is now cancelled, just to name a few without even digging. Like a few others mentioned, the idea that a movie of this scale (which has been in the making for 7 or so years) doesn't even have a viewable trailer 4 months before it's theatrical release is a little concerning to me under these circumstances. I'd like to know what the people think of a house being used as mainly a marketing trailer for new movies instead of catering to what the fans would prefer to see. Is this going to be a new recipe for HHN? A situation where every year we get TWD and a house based on a movie that they want to advertise... I'm not a huge fan of From Dusk Till Dawn. I watched it once or twice when it came out and thought it was fairly decent. I know there are plenty of fans who love that movie though. So, regardless if it is a vampire movie, I can easily understand why they'd possibly use it for a house. It's been years since I've watched it, so I'd probably watch it again to prepare me for what they'd have in store for me. To me, that is one of the best parts of the HHN experience. Is From Dusk Till Dawn still on the table?
  11. Funny... Just how bad was it? Was it worse than the movie, because if I recall correctly, it was pretty awful. So what's the story here? Are we getting 4 ips or 5?
  12. Obviously Dracula isn't original. But supposedly, the story is going to be told in an original way. We won't know this original story until after most of HHN. Most of us saw The Thing and who doesn't know the jist of the story of The Wolfman... What NEW film/game was premiered (as a house) at HHN before it's release? Assuming the rumor is true, we are going to be walking through a recreated set of a movie that has yet to be released. Thus, although it is an ip, it will be an original to us. Once again, I am not saying I won't enjoy the house. I know I will. What I am saying is that wouldn't it make more sense for them to use an ip that the general public would be more excited to see? I could be wrong, but I think the ips are what really draw in the masses these days. An ip no one has seen won't draw as many people as many of the other titles people would like to see. That is why it is a waste to me. One of my wife's favorite houses was The Thing. C'mon... The Walking Dead is the best horror show on television (probably ever). It is also currently the only zombie related show on tv that I'm aware of. I've seen enough vampires on tv, in books, and basically everywhere else to not want to see them used as an ip at HHN too. There is a bunch of zombie stuff around too, but I don't feel like it is jammed down my throat as much as vampires have been the past couple decades. Last year what they did at HHN in regards to TWD was a mistake, but honestly, I wouldn't care if they did 1 house a year for each season forever as long as it was good.
  13. I thought he mentioned Doom for some reason. He didn't... brain malfunction I guess. The Thing was rebooted. It already had a following before the movie was released.
  14. I have been accepting the possibility that the house is going to happen, but until it is officially announced, am I not allowed to hope? In my opinion, it is a waste. Not because it couldn't possibly be good, but because with all the ips to choose from there are a 100 things I'd rather see 1st. Answer me this... what ip made it's appearance at HHN before it hit the theatres? I was under the impression that the idea of using an ip is to transport you into the reality of the film/game it is based off of. If we haven't seen the film, in reality it is more of an original, correct? Why use an ip slot for a movie no one has ever seen? Some of you believe that it could possibly be to market the movie. This could be the case. But if it is, it isn't very cool. Does that give them the green light to do this again next year and the year after that? The movie itself could be good or a piece of garbage. Either way, I know I'll have fun in the house. My only points are that I'm just tired of vampire themed things and that if they use an ip, it should at least be a movie that we have the ability to see in order to enjoy the house more.
  15. Even on the worst of nights, express saves much more than half the wait time. Kiwisoup... How many houses do you get done in the 1st hour and a half? According to you, you actually go through 10-11 houses see both shows, eat and enjoy the scarezones, and ride some rides in 5 and a half hours all without express? Are we attending the same event?
  16. My question in regards to the clown arm would be... are they throwing out a clue or is it being displayed to throw everyone off?
  17. At this point, if Dracula Untold is in the lineup and they don't do Halloween I think my head would explode. Kinda like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY-03vYYAjA
  18. Not too long ago they decided to cancel Dracula on NBC after just 1 season. Why do you think that is? If I had to guess, it is because too many people have lost interest in watching rehashed vampire stories. It had better be really good, or people will lose interest quick. The idea that they would waste an ip slot for anything to do with a vampire is just absurd to me. Furthermore, the movie won't even be released until most of the event is already finished. Is it typical for them to make a decision like this? I hope the rumors are incorrect. It seems like there is little doubt that there will be vampires somewhere, I just hope they don't waste a soundstage and take away something that could be potentially better to do this. There is so much to chose from, why choose an ip no one has seen? With that being said, any new ideas as to what the 4 originals will be? So far what do we have??? Some sort of Jack carnival-clown house, possibly something with Legendary Truth (really could be tied to any of the houses), boogeyman - el cucuy - or a witch who steals children, maybe a wendigo or some type of fall seasonal indian thanksgiving feast gone awry, a house with dolls that come to life, something to do with a grave digger (scare zone?), a masquerade party of some type where death is present(scare zone?) Any other possible things to choose from? Now that there probably won't be a Sleepy Hollow house, can anyone figure out what else Cassi clue #7 could be tied to?
  19. The last few times we've traveled down to HHN we stayed at the Doubletree at the entrance to Universal Orlando. The hotel is around $100 (only slightly over your budget) a night and is walking distance to the park (assuming you are in relatively decent health). I prefer to have the room close by so that we don't have to drink and drive or have to pay for a cab. Obviously if you don't drink, there are a ton of hotels all over that area for less money. Another benefit of staying at that hotel is that there is a Golden Corral more or less sharing the parking lot with it. We don't have them around where I live, so we always hit that decently priced buffet at least once or twice while we are there. If you like steak and are willing to spend some cash, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Vito's Chophouse or Charley's Steakhouse are all very good and aren't too far away (all under 10 minute drives) from that general area. Generally at the end of every night that we do HHN, we end up buying a couple of the big turkey drumsticks they sell at stands they have set up all over the park. They also sell twisted taters (see here http://d2eu5panhhlmd4.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/HHN_Snacks_TwistedTaters.jpg ) which come in different flavors and are very tasty. As far as the park during the daytime, it hasn't been that busy around that time of the year when we've gone. The exception for us was when they first opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction. That area was fairly packed compared to the rest of the park. Make sure you definitely get the express tickets. We always do, and there have been plenty of times when we don't get to see every house each night. The 1st Friday isn't as busy as the middle of October though. We always enter the park later too. Personally, I prefer to wait until it gets dark before I begin entering the houses. Unless you have plans for Thursday evening already, you should just buy the Rush of Fear pass w/express and go 2 nights. That way, you'll definitely have time to do all the houses and get to see the shows as well. I assure you, you won't regret it.
  20. It's not really official. Orlando Informer posted an article that was a rumor roundup. Their list of maze codenames was pulled from another website who basically says not to believe what they write because only a fool would believe what they posted. They go on to say that their sources (who were wearing costumes) tied the codenames from that list to the 4 ips mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure if it was truly confirmed, when you go to the hhn 2014 webpage set up by Orlando Informer they would have added the 3 ips. They didn't yet though because it is still only rumor. Obviously Universal hasn't confirmed the 3 either, so...
  21. So nothing screams Legendary Truth like a ritual gone bad. Bad things happened here; something awful lives under the bed??? Ritual couldn't possibly have a connection to trick ' treating? Or... Maybe Sam's crows?
  22. Their inside source is more than likely someone from hhnrumors.... The same site who has posted very little up untiil what 2 days ago? If I had to guess, I'd say the writer is most likely friendly with the person who runs the website and possibly had a vested interest in getting that site hits. But that is just my opinion.
  23. "Absolutely verified" by other people speculating... in masks no less. This is kinda funny to me, since 3 of the 4 ips I picked weeks ago. All I'm saying is... until Universal does an official release, it is unofficial.
