  1. Does anyone else think it would be a cool idea if Universal would put the Que videos for the houses that have them up on the website? Like the Cleaver Que video last year, I saw most of it, but sometimes it was hard to hear alot of what was being said with people talking loud, it was pretty funny too, I would have loved to have gotten a chance to watch it without any disturbances.
  2. I Hope they rip on that punk new Freddy Krueger and that lisp of his
  3. Deadtropolis was definitely my fav Scare zone and the one I still remember the best. I really felt the urgency of the situation. We were also lucky enough to be there on a night that the Robosaurus show was going, and that was awesome to see! Harvest of souls was also pretty fun, the little goblin dude kept scaring my sis! lol And I swear I see the Jack-O-Lanterns from the entrance to the zone every year, almost like an Easter Egg, their something fun to look for.
  4. I'd love to see a sequel to Leave it to Cleaver, I really enjoyed the light-hearted B-Horror tone of that house. That was def my fav house of last year. I'd also like to see another Psychoscareapy since that was the first ever house I went in, kinda nostalgic about it
  5. Same here hush! It's a dhame the website wasn't archived on horrnights.be with the rest of the HHN 18 website, I'd love a chance to read what info it had. I could never get the password to work at the time. And Jimmy, I def think your on to something too....I recently checked Mary's logs and the butcher shop mention is too much of a coincidence given the theories....hopefully next year the case, and the fate of Boris will be known finally!
  6. is it true that somewhere in LTC was Bloody Mary's head with a cleaver stuck in it? I think I remember reading something along those lines on the vault a while back...That would be interesting if true, since Mary Agana's body was never found, maybe Mary's murderer sold her body off to the Meetz Meats Company to cover up the crime?
  7. So from what I've gathered from my research on different forums and websites, that the storyline goes something like this: In 1908 a Schoolteacher named Mary was murdered in a prank gone wrong by her mischievous students, and in 1958 Dr. Mary Agana receives a gift of a box that belonged to her grandmother, the schoolteacher, who's spirit gradually possessed her, and influenced her to take on the decedents of her students as patients in order to get her revenge..... So I guess that would mean that Dr. Mary Agana is not the TRUE Bloody Mary, but rather her grandmother Mary is, right? Also, This Detective Shuster, I was browsing some other forums and came across some emails that he sent to people talking about how his hired photographer had disappeared after going to see his Dr, and that Boris was going to investigate that. He mentioned that he spied on Dr. Agana a few times and noticed that she was up to strange doings, so in order to get to the bottom of things, he made an appointment with her.... And that seems to be the last we heard from him correct? So Boris Shuster has been missing since August 27th of 1958...But I've also read that Shuster Founded the Legendary Truth Collective so he must have survived....right?
  8. Hey Everyone! Unfortunately, I missed out on this aspect of the event in '08. I remember there being at one point a website, but I always got stuck on where to find the access password or something like that, and the link on horrornights.be unfortunately leads back to the main HHN website.... What exactly did the investigation entail? From what I read is seemed like a scavenger hunt around the park on various nights to find clues....what exact clues were you looking for? Has the information/clues gathered from this "game" ever been compiled anywhere? I'd love to get a chance to read up on it sometime. One thing I LOVED about RoF was the elaborate backstory!
  9. Do y'all think this would mean less or small scareazones? I've never seen it before so it might be cool to see something new from HHN's past so to speak, but I'd hate to see it sacrifice areas that could be used for another scarezone, or extend an existing one....
  10. Ever since I was about 5 or so, the stories about the mirror witch named Bloody Mary who would come out of the mirror at midnight and scratch your eyes out has creeped me out. Even today, I'm still a bit sqeamish about entering a darkened room with a large mirror. So, when I heard that Bloody Mary was going to present this year, I knew it was going to be something special. And it was!! One of the first things I noticed and applauded the team for was how well the scare zones were executed. From the moment you entered the park, you were in your first Zone. They definately made up for the sparse scarezone(s) of the Carnival. From the Streets of Blood to the Skoolhouse, all the scarezones had their own unique atmosphere and "chill factor" to them. One thing that definately creeped me out was going into the small school house, and seeing the masked undead children in the middle of the session, even when they didn't stop to scare you, just that sort of imagery always creeped me out. And the projections of Bloody Mary throughout the park, gave you the impression that no matter where you were, Mary was watching you. The houses this year were also amazingly well done, every house had it's own unique atmosphere, and the set design and attention to detail was basically "movie" quality. The houses I remember getting the best scares from where Body Collectors, Dead Exposure, and The Hallow. One recurring easter egg I loved throughout the houses was the cameos by bloody mary, be it in the static of the TV in Creatures, to the Hologram in the Hallow that creepily stared and pointed right at you. I would love to find a clip of that one moment, as I would always wait for it whenever we went through that house so we could see it. Definately one of my favorite years!
  11. Good ol' Sweet 16!!! This was my first year attending the event, and I personally think it was a good one to start with since it basically summerized many of the best of moments from HHNs past. I remember the first time I walked through the gates and the fog and sweet sounds of the MS hit me, and I realized this is NOT the Universal I go to during daylight hours, and I loved it instantly!!! I'll never forget the first time I saw the arrival show, and saw Jack the clown mercilessly frappe some poor kid in a giant blender, or the caretaker performing an autopsy on a living person. The event rekindled my love for Halloween, and helped me see it wasn't "just for kids", I knew I was to be a fan of HHN for life, and I wondered to myself how I could have gone so long without experiencing it.... My most memorable house was scareapy, I'll never forget the rancid odor in the bathroom, or the strobe effect. My fav scarezone was definately Deadtropolis, I really felt the urgancy, and the zombies blended in so well the scares never stopped coming!!
  12. I really enjoyed that year, I thought the house design and overall atmosphere was top notch, better than they were at Sweet 16. I enjoyed all the houses for different reasons, but in terms of jump/scare factor, my two favorite houses were Dead Silence and Nightmare on Elm Street. One detail I would have loved to have seen in the Dead Silence house is during the part where we're up in the shaky rafters and we look down and see Mary Shaw looking up at us, if they had the Mary actually coming up at us slowly that would have been great. I even enjoyed Vampyr for what it was, a party of scantily clad vampire babes. And I have to give props to The Thing for it's animatronics and atmosphere, I really felt the urgency of the situation. My only real disappointment was with the scarezone/streetmosphere. I was really psyched when I heard that there would be no safe areas in the park, as I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Sweet 16's scarezones, and imagining that all over the park, potential scares ANYWHERE had me really excited, but it might just have been on the nights we went, the theming was there, but there were too many "dead spots" where we were just able to relax and nothing was happening, aside from the occasional visit from the biker gang.
  13. Hey Everyone!!! Granted, I've only been going since '06, so I really haven't had the opportunity that alot of y'all have had to see the event go from "Fright Nights", to "Halloween Horror Nights 18". To evolve from a few nights party event to an all-out immersive scare fest the way the event has is very damn impressive. But has HHN reached it's maximum greatness? or is there ways it can continue to grow bigger and better? The only thing I can see them doing is using both parks again, which would be cool, except that the theming at IOA is so detailed and specific it really limits what you can do to. For example, no matter what you do to Marvel Island, it will always look and feel like Marvel Island. But this is a different discussion all together! lol
  14. I also go mainy for the atmosphere, I'm not as critical as some about the overall scare factor, although I do get some pretty good scares here and there. What really drew me to HHN was just how immersive the whole thing is. From the details, clues, and occasional games on the website, to the sights, sounds, and smells around the park, there is so much to the event that it's I enjoy getting wrapped up and lost in the world of each year's theme. It's more than just going to this show, and that show, then this house and being scared, and that house and not being scared. From late Sept to early November, Universal takes on a whole new life, something so radically different from how it is during the daytime, and summer months, that from the first time I stepped through those gates in '06 and was hit by the mist and Midnight Syndicate tunes, I was blown away.
