Alright guys, I put together a 3 minute preview for this year's event. I only have a few hours of Final Cut experience so I apologize if its not edited well. Enjoy! Subscribe if you'd like more footage. =]
Krampus and Exorcist footage will be posted in the coming days.

If anyone would like to check out the opening ceremony, since I know most will do early entry - here you go!
I'm just starting my Youtube channel out, but I'll definitely be posting more videos including walk throughs, montages, plus a handful of vlogs for both Hollywood and Orlando's HHN event this year. Subscribe/like if you enjoyed the video! Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks, Arsik for giving your initial input. It sounds like the event has promise (being that it's in rehearsal mode). Exorcist may be a tricky maze; I expect there will be tweaks during the opening weekend.
Mods, can you please add a sub-forum for reviews? Thanks.
Definitely promising, and one of the best years so far. All the slasher icon mazes were really strong and will only get better. AHS will undoubtedly get better as well, and I'm hoping the Exorcist improves too. What surprised me most was how good the scare actors were since usually they need to get in the groove.

Arsik, did you get a chance to go through the purge gauntlet? Thoughts?
Unfortunately I didnt have the time to check it out today. We got stuck in AHS line for 30 mins at the very start of the event because the audio wasn't working, so we had to cut out the Gauntlet to fit one more maze in before closing. Ill be going back Friday to check it out.

Sorry to hear that, though looking at all the tweets/instagrams etc. over the night it's not surprising. It sounds like it went the path of Evil Dead and AWIL.
Yeah Im assuming most of the Evil Dead animatronics were reskinned. There were some sound issues with the maze that will get resolved, but there were way to many static figures and the effects looked really bad unfortunately.
Overall though this was a great year!

Exorcist was really disappointing. =/

Quickie reviews for tonight!
AHS - Disjointed and the scare actors need some work. Freak show / hotel worked better than murder house tonight.
Freddy vs jason - AWESOME. Great energy and scares throughout.
Krampus- Beautiful, great use of puppets and costumes were recreated perfectly. Good amount of scares throughout, and the sound design elevated the scares A LOT in this maze.
TCM - Great energy and scares. Much better than 2012 version but not as good as 07/08 (obviously)
Halloween - Good overall, but a very random ending and bland set design in the finale.
Terror Tram - Finally something pretty good!
TWD - definitely lots of scare actors! Pretty good over all. Still too short.
Exorcist - in line now!!!
Purge gauntlet - didnt get to do it today. Will be back friday.

Just to double verify, lower lot or backlot for early entry?
Uh oh , I don't have the picture of the bulletin anymore but I believe the Backlot.

Heard TCM audio being tested this morning! Also, some props have been put up for The Purge gauntlet on French street and plaza entryway. I'll post some pics later today.

Things already on the sales floor that I didn't pick up:
- Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Twisty, and Chucky Pop Figures ($16.95) - $6 more than Amazon's price.
-Freddy beach towel , Jason beach towel
- Freddy lunch box , Jason lunch box
- Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface playing cards
- Titans of Terror Poster (I did buy it but forgot to take a picture... Exact same picture from the tee.)
- American Horror Story poster (Twisty front and center, with Rubber Man next to him.)
- Freddy vs Jason tee (Coloring looked a little funky to me)
-Krampus tee
-TWD tees (Negan, group of survivors, generic zombie, etc.)
- Exorcist poster
The main house tee, hoodie, AHS tee, and Freddy vs Jason mug haven't arrived yet.

Lol seriously! They finally stopped using that blood font (with the exception of the Titans of Terror tee), and made all of the shirts look great IMO without overdoing it.
Apparently there will be some more exclusive pins like the Michael Myers one I got, for the other slasher icons as well.
BTW, Early Entry will for sure be happening the same way it did last year. 5:30PM is when early entry crowds will have their tickets scanned, and wrist bands will be handed out.
Jabbawockeez 6:30PM show will be exclusively for early entry guests who choose to hit that first. Lower Lot mazes will open at 6:30PM.

The TCM tee has HHN 2016 written on the back...

Changed my mind on the merch this year. I LOVE IT! Just bought $160 worth (so glad employee discount dropped it down to $100). I'll post some pics later today if anyone wants a mini preview?
Only thing not on the sales floor is the main house tee, hoodie, or AHS tee.

Im also assuming the commercial hasnt been seen very much because most people dont start thinking about Halloween events in mid September like we do. Its probably being shown very little now until October, but who knows. Either way, this year looks amazing so who cares about the commercial.

Is it the poster of the Big 4 they released the day FvJ and TCM were announced?
Yep! But in black and white with the exception of the red writing.

Bought my FotL tickets for the 17th. So excited, this will be the first year I'm not tempted by walkthrough videos! Is there any gameplan for FotL or is it pointless because you have unlimited time now?
Early entry is still a good option so you can go through a handful of mazes once or twice even before using your FOL.

Just saw one of the designs for an HHN tee, with the phrase "Titans of Terror". Looks cool but the damn blood writing is on it. =/

wait, by any chance, will it matter if I'm a minor? I know at Disney, you can't pay for your own Disney Pass monthly if you are a minor. So is there a chance that when I try buying tickets on Friday, it won't accept my payment?
Since it's a one time buy and not a monthly payment, you should be fine.

Just bought the Frequent Fear Pass! My goal will be to try and go all 15 nights. 7pm - 2am, and then start my stocking duties at Uni from 2am-11am . Totally worth it. Lol
-
With a cheesy name like that, this could be the closest thing to a Killer Klowns from Outerspace attraction. Im stoked. Lol Im just thankful its not another TWD/Purge Terror Tram.

Too be fair, express is not the same as FOTL
I've never waited for more than 15 minutes with express at Orlando the last 2 years. So its basically FOL. Lol

Not a typo, chances are it got approved a bit late in the process.
Ugh, that's so disappointing. :/ Thanks though!

So is it a typo or will this really not be available on opening weekend? I really wanna check it out.

Speaking of Orlando. Is it just me or are their event tickets much more costly than Hollywood? Has it always been that way?
Also.....
I've gone to HHN 3 years in a row now and I have never thought to look and see if HHN front of the line tickets are cheaper, at the same price or more expensive than normal park hour front of the line passes. Can anyone answer this?
Orlando's ticket options are way better IMO. My girlfriend and I have bought the multi-night pass (I think its called Rush of Fear) plus front of the line for the 4 nights we go and it comes out to $300. $300 for 4 nights with FOL each night compared to $179 for one night at Hollywood is a steal. Plus, their event is so much better than ours.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! A Canon Powershot G7x Mark ii. It takes pretty good quality video for a small point and shoot camera.
