Has you actually seen beer being served at HHN Hollywood this year?  The USH FAQ for HHN clearly state:

Is alcohol served at the event?

Alcohol will not be served nor permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights.

Yeah, I saw a really long line for it on opening night.

This should be an annual thing for you!   "Arsik's Annual HHN Pre-Show and Merchandise Spooktacular".  Heh.

Impressive merchandise line-up this year, however, I think some of the shirts are a little gaudy.  That big vinyl lettering kind of prevents it from being worn all year.

Not a bad idea! Haha Agreed, I wish they stopped using that blood font. A simple logo with the year, and the design on the back would be a lot nicer.

Everything is different??? An evil book, an incantation, attacking vines, demonic possession, an inability to escape the cabin in the woods. If you take out the subplot about her being an addict and a few things here and there, the movies (Evil Dead 1) are basically the same. There is a reason why they called the 2013 version Evil Dead. It's a damn reboot.

We'll see just how different the house will be come this September. I'll wager any amount of money you want that they'll be a book, an incantation, and someone popping their head out of a basement.

With that argument, wouldn't any of the "original" mazes all be considered rip-offs or things that have been seen before? Most of the originals everyone talks about revolve around cliche themes - clowns, butchers, zombies, vampires, etc. Or these types of characters thrown in a random setting to make it different.

  4. Quick question about the Unmasking the Horror Tour, I know last year they said no photography but ended up changing it to select mazes. I know the same warning is on the website now, so do you guys have a guess as to how it'll be this year? Are the original mazes the only ones we can take pictures in?

I can actually think of three things Orlando might be jealous of Hollywood for. One is our AVP maze, more specifically how we had The Queen at the end. Two is our Freddy Vs. Jason, from people who have done that maze at both coasts I've heard them say that Hollywood's was marginally better. And three being our Krampus maze, I've heard that our Krampus maze blew theirs out of the water and in the videos I've seen of Orlando's Krampus, I would have to agree

Our Freddy vs Jason maze was scarier, their sets were better though. Krampus definitely was better! Their AVP maze was also much scarier, the only part that was better was the queen here at Hollywood.

Also, our Halloween maze and AWIL (to me) was way scarier, even though their maze had better transitions.

II is just a remake of I. You only need II. :)

Its not a remake, enough with the blasphemy! Lol

Not sure if you guys saw or not but Orlando announced AHS Asylum, Coven and Roanoke today. So I wonder if an announce for us will follow...

I'm curious why they're holding off on the announcement for Hollywood. If the leaked line up is true, I'm really bummed that we're only getting Roanoke. I think Asylum makes for the best maze material.

Also, I've been doing weekly HHN videos and would love for any of you guys to check it out and subscribe if you enjoy the content. Thanks in advance! =]

  7. Cabin in the Woods as the Terror Tram

The cabin facade/"indoor" portion on the parking lot in front of the Bates Motel with the hillbilly zombie family. Then go through the WOTW set and have a ton of different kind of monsters. End it in two possible pathways like they did this year, with the elevator scene right before getting on the tram.

    The Conjuring

I need to see this property at HHN already! Now that the Crooked Man and Nun have been introduced, I think there's more than enough material.

    American Horror Story (Seasons 2,3,6)

Agree with everyone this is a given. Regardless of the complaints Knotts got this year, there's no way Murdy would pass on doing Asylum. We've had so many asylum based rooms at HHN, I highly doubt they would care. It's not offending the LGBT community and no guest would be called a slut in AHS, so we should be fine. Lol

    Ash vs Evil Dead

I had so much fun watching season 1, and I hear season 2 is just as good if not better. Murdy needs to redeem this property. This maze would be so god damn GROOVY.

    Killer Klowns from Outerspace 3D

I would be so happy if they ever did this but I know it's unlikely. I've asked Aiello on Twitter and he said he'd love to do it someday, but I've never seen John mention this property. It would be the perfect 3D house!

    Friday the 13th

I know this remake has been in development hell for quite a while, but last I've read the producer has said they plan on releasing this by mid 2017. If so, I'd love to see Jason back. If we can have Michael Myers more than one year, why not bring back the best slasher for a second go around?

    Trick R Treat

I think we actually have a good shot at seeing this next year. I don't think the sequel is being released until 2018, but it would be awesome to see the first movie as a maze and then have a sequel house when the new movie drops. Fingers crossed!

    TWD

Add a *TV SPOILER - BE WARNED* Glenn prop at the end with a Negan actor scare as the finale and I would instantly love this maze. Lol

    Academy of the Villains

Absolutely loved this show in Orlando (I watched it each night I went for the 4 nights). These dancers are so energetic and seem much more passionate than the Jabbawokeez.

Phil and Seth's Fantastic Halloween Adventure

Who needs Bill and Ted when you have Phil and Seth, an all new pop culture comedy show! =]

I live 30 minutes from HHN Hollywood and have been two times so far, and and STILL have not gotten in to all the houses. Don't know if it is worth my trouble.  If HHN Hollywood allowed me to buy a freaking add on FOTL I would be very happy.  But they are making this year a real bummer.  Really wish they would learn from their Florida sister.

Ive been to HHN 6 times this year and I've been able to do every single maze and the Terror Tram by 10PM with early entry... I honestly have no idea how your not finishing everything. FOL isn't needed.
