  1. The underwater scene could use a hallway with a plexiglass tank with the walls going about half way up on each side. Fill them with water, then have the path go between them and the creature reach out and possibly splash. With the right lighting and effects... This could work great.

  2. Penn&Teller Newk’d Las Vegas-Magicians Penn&Teller are known for pushing the envelope. They push the envelope with the classic trick of catching a bullet with your teeth…instead of a bullet they use and Intercontinental Ballistic Missile….and miss. What results is a hellish, but hilarious look at what would happen if Vegas were to be affected by radiation. Three boob showgirls are just the beginning. Spoiler-Penn&Teller will appear in the house every night…by way of special effects. One part in the house, however has been constructed so that it will pull away and on select nights Penn&Teller will actually appear!

Found that on behind the thrills.

  3. Universal’s House of Horrors-Universal was built on monsters. They have a deep legacy that runs 100 years with film, so of course they have to pay homage to the very fathers of horror. House of Horrors will use technologies and techniques never before used at Horror Nights. You’ll crawl through caves, go underwater with the Creature, and even explore curses with the Mummy. The entire house will also be in stunning “black and white”

That is on behind the thrills.

  4. Normally not. When I was a slider for a local haunt... I just used conductors from lowes that were made of metal and put them on my gloves and boots. With steel toes and pads, the spark when used on concrete. I understand why universal doesn't like them. They tear up the concrete after a while.

  5. Something cool i noticed on the new site update. KPH9842_WoodPlankHallway.jpg it seems like that is the angled board room from Forsaken last year. Looks great!

  6. After looking at the reveal of fear video for 2010, my money is on fear bing involved this year. It sounds like him, the end if the video says he arrives. One of the clues says "he is returning". I also love the quote in the video that says " this is not about th past. This is about the future." I can't wait for midnight !

  7. My completely uneducated guess as for SS44 and the whole... "dug up" something not from this world. Is something with the caretaker. Caretaker was fear's choice to represent DEATH. Caretaker as far as I know, is not of this world. He has never really died as far as I know, but... he doesn't really look alive haha.

As far as SS44, I can see them doing something like a area that was dug up where the caretaker was buried. In that area with all the construction.. all they need to do is make it safe for people to be near, and add some effects like a tomb and random stuff around it.

But yea, all this is me completely throwing stuff out there after i had my morning coffee... We will find out tomorrow :) YAY!

  8. Kind of a stupid question, but my finance and I are going to be in universal for our honeymoon...and she came to HHN with me last year because I begged her. She won't go in the houses when they are "LIVE" this year, and I feel inclined to not dragged her through it because it is our honeymoon haha. She LOVES the backstory and design of the houses though.

Can we get tickets for the Unmasking tours and just do that, without buying HHN tickets? Or is it something where you need to buy HHN tickets AND the Unmasking tickets?

I will probably go through HHN myself this year while she is in bed haha.

Thanks for the help all :)

  9. http://behindthethrills.com/2012/08/unnamed-projects-under-heavy-construction-at-universal-orlando/ 6th pic down.. "An area that is getting ready is the Soundstage directly behind the Music Plaza stage and to the left of the Rip Ride Rockit entrance (I believe 23, may be mistaken). We did manage to get a peek inside, though you can’t see it too well, there is a good amount of what looks like blue light being rigged up. Lots of neon looking lights. You can also see panels going in the stage door."
  10. Ever seen Black Swan? If not, forgive my reference, but there is a part in the movie where Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis roll and go to this random club with strobing green and red lights and annoyingly repetitive yet entrancing dance music. I'm giving the example bc if you picture that type of environment in a house...sophocatingly loud, hypnotic music and strobing lights that only let you see faint flashes of what's in front of you every now and then...suddenly the idea becomes sort of terrifying in a fantastic way. It's not about the music...it's about what they do with it to flood your senses :) so, while I completely understand your point, I think that type of music can enhance the environment in a great way, if done right.

That sounds cool now. The thing I'm worried about, is th universal monsters in the environment. I just can't see the mummy jumping out in a club aha. Though, I could see them do something like die-in. Rooms in the club are based on movies, remixed versions of the main songs from each movie. Add a well timed strobe color effect like you said and I think it might be great.

  11. "    (7/24/12) ParkScope has posted a new image showing off what the the new and improved London shoreline will look like once they are done with it. I’ve also heard elsewhere than the staff of the old Amity Games area has been told that the first new games by Simpsons are expected to be ready to go in time for Halloween Horror Nights.". That is on screamsape. So my guess would be Klownz near simpsons.

Also... Are the Klownz from hhn 21 Hollywood the type we are expecting for This year?

  12. I have to agree with all of this. I was never at the USH HHN, but when I was at orlando I got stopped right before Forsaken. Of all the houses.. that was the one I have memories of the most, just because I was stopped before I went in. Almost like the event person was asking if i'm sure i want to go through with this.

  13. .. there is one of them moving. The problem with something like that. Is they are massive, and more stationary. They also probably cost a small fortune. If we get something that is built like the puppeteer dragons, but has the look of something like the USJ dragons. I think it will be pretty effective. If they can get good puppeteers that can use them well, and move quickly in the suits. It will be great!
  14. Free Falling - Vampires.

There's no room in hell - Walking dead reference. Also could be a scarezone zombie roaming area.

Lampy swore he saw one - Gargoyles. London gargoyles.

School's out - Alice related. School's out for summer, it's returning during his house in october.

Serious, Joking - Not sure about this one. It's clown related... but im unsure.

I've seen shit - Paranormal house related.

I'll be seeing you - Not sure about this one.

Lollipop - I'm going with a drive in scare zone, from the 50's. Almost like XX.

" She's gonna be back and she always is" - Of all the female choices. I'm going to go with the Terra Queen on this one. Not sure why... but i just have a feeling.
