  1. Hmm...if I read this right Robert Stevenson wrote Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, hmm...perhaps the Lady isn't what she appears to be, if that's what you were referring too.

This is very interesting, indeed. I haven't caught up on most of today's speculation so far, but I am convinced that there are two sides of Lady Luck. The one we will see in the commercial may be completely different from the one in the park.

  2. Please explain to me how they "Dropped the ball"? Ever think that they intentionally "dropped the ball"? As if it was an extra teaser aka Hal Geluk. What better way to hype up conversation other than, "Oh no Universal is going to be angry because Burger King leaked the window cling!" Did they or was it planned? How about this short commercial clip, only on the internet? Where they know people like us will look and help "leak". All I have to say to Universal A&D/Marketing...GENIUS!!!

To me, that makes the most sense. I think Marketing is trying to think of ways to build the hype even further by asking BK and the television affiliate to "leak" the commercial and cups/ads on purpose so that it drives people to the site/Facebook to find out what all is going on. I think it is a brilliant ploy by the Marketing team, if it is the case.

  3. Since we were on the topic of scareactor appeciaton there, I'd like to let people know to be mindful of scareactors with gimmicks that you don't find scary. In my first year, with the Headless Horseman role, it didn't take much from me to clear a street, but the year after, Mr. Nose certainly took more effort to pay off. Some characters are there to thematically enhance the event, and you've got a scareactor inside there doing what they can to add to the event in the way they were chosen to, so avoid being critical to any of the performers that you come across.

Ahh, I was in Cirque too in 09. What cast were you? I was Evra the Snake Boy, Cast B. I got a lot of compliments on my makeup as they would come in close since I usually froze in place, then when they were close, stomp my feet, hiss, and scare the crap out of them!

  4. Uhm I don't think any of us get more than startled at the event....just saying. Scarezones are great. It's the best entertainment at the event.

Unless you're a scaredy cat like me, then I say yes. I get extremely terrified at the event, especially in the zones.

  5. Welcome to the forum.

They have 8 houses, 7 scare zones, and 2 shows... I've never had time nor was bored enough to do the rides and I've never seen another haunted attraction with as much to do.

IDK know to me its all about HHN I can ride the rides any time so to each his own.

But the price only went up 5 dollars on the single night, no discount, ticket and the new Rush Of Fear option can't be beat.

I mean I can go any night in the first three weeks plus the UMTH tour for two came out to $220.00.. I can't beat that with a stick.

    As for the original question:

The queue is THE issue there. There are only so many places to run the in queues but the OUT queue is a huge problem for running Rock It. Being that there is such a large number of people that have to be moved through there.. I just don't see it.

As far as the icon,... have no fear we shall she her at the event. But icon house... I'm really not thinking it is happening. I guess anything is possible but I don't see the cemetary house relating... guess we will see.

Well, couldn't she technically be Lady Elizabeth Hawthorn, and Lady Luck is just a nickname for her? Like a previous poster stated, the web site says there are many faces of Luck. She could technically appear as a ghost in the house and then somewhere else in the park.

  6. There may not be an icon house. At this point, if there is one, it is most likely the cemetery, but that is not firm.

I've said it for a while, and I'll say it again. There is a great deal of potential that there is not icon house this year. Remember, Fear was not in a house last year either. I have a feeling that how Luck is used will be completely different form from we know. She, quite possibly, will not be the type of "icon" we expect but in fact be more of a mascot for marketing purposes.

I really hope every would make an attempt to change their way of thinking about icons and how they are used. We may never see them in the same way again.

That's a shame if there is no icon house. I would've liked to have seen a full out casino-type haunted house for Lady Luck, but if the graveyard house in SS22 is going to tell the back story of our icon, then maybe, just MAYBE, there's a small chance that house is the icon house. I won't get my hopes up for it, but there's no harm in being a little optimistic.

  7. Cleaned up a bit. We have a lot of new posters. Welcome!

So I think it's time for a little update so we can all be on the same page and not have endless pages of correction.

Parade - Columbus/shipwreck house, relates to the loose cannon game, and also relates to the Orange card.

Sprung 1 - Demon House, relates to Certain Rune game, and also relates to green card.

Sprung 2 - Poe house, relates to the the don't judge a book game, and the dark blue card

Jaws queue - Saws and Steam, relates to the machine game, and the red card.

Disaster queue - TV/Late Night Horror/holidays house, relates to the channel surfing game, and the Sienna colored card.

SS 22 - Deals with the cemetery/Lady Hawthorne house, the key game, and the light blue card.

SS 23 - The Thing, game unknown, card unknown.

SS - 23 - relates to WWI house, most likely deals with vampire nurses, the incoming game, and the purple card

Nothing is officially confirmed for SZ details except some colorful characters in Hollywood, stilts in IFB, and the rat lady in NY.

Interesting speculation so far! I find it odd that both events are doing a Poe house.
