  1. Survive or Die, one of the best scare zones? Yeah, no. Lol.
  2. Ash vs. Evil Dead is rumored to be in B-79, aka the Parade Building.
  3. First off, I agree about the marketing. I think it could be a lot better. Hopefully, they'll up their ante after Volcano opens. Secondly, AoV is not awful. It was an amazing show, much better than the stagnant B&T we've been getting the past few years, although 25's show was damn good. 26's B&T was just atrocious. Thirdly, I am excited for these IP's, some are new, so yes, there are surprises, at least for me. A&D are doing a damn good job with the event so far. Don't knock it until it's here.
  4. I am really saddened by how many people are "mad" that the event is not that great. It's opening weekend. The event will improve over time. I was really satisfied with all of the houses, except for The Walking Dead (boring, not scary, and the "pools" weren't all that intuitive), American Werewolf (because I hardly noticed the new puppets and I don't like repeats), and Purge (because you could definitely sense it was supposed to be Scream). Asylum is probably my favorite 3D house they've done in the past. I don't understand why some of the posters say that AIW is a dud. It's very trippy, the scare potential is there, and the detail in that house is unbelievable compared to other 3D houses. Here's a suggestion...why don't we all stop griping about opening night/weekend, and let the scareactors/event continue to grow over the next few weeks?
  5. Any other scareactors happen to have a spare ticket for Wednesday? I could use some help getting in. I don't drink or act foolish, so no need to worry about that lol.
  6. Really happy that the pumpkins have returned to CP! I was going through the last 2 pages and noticed we were throwing around potential names. Forgive me for talking about these names again, but here are some that I thought of for the originals: Alice: Wond3rlanD is one that I saw a few pages back and thought that fit this maze perfectly Blizzard: The Collectors of ShadyBrook Anniversary: Twenty Five / 25 Years of Horror RUN: RUN : Redux / RUN: No Clowning Around / RUN For Your Life
  7. This is the reason why I hated working Ops last year is because you all tend to ignore what the TMs say. Don't you realize that by going slow, you hold up not just the line of people behind you in the house, but the majority of the queue line outside? Because people tend to scare back or trudge along slowly, waits are guaranteed to skyrocket. That is why TMs are encouraged to ask guests nicely but firmly to keep up with the group in front. However, seeing as how I am now going to experience the event from a guest perspective this year, maybe I should take this tip and go along with it.
  8. I also believe a portion of Shrek's permanent extended queue is within the blue highlighted section. They wouldn't take those poles out for a maze, IMHO.
  9. I have a feeling the next announcement is going to be either Scream or TWD. TWD seems more likely since Murdy posted on Twitter recently that it "was time to piss people off." So, TWD is my hunch, with Scream as an alternative.
  10. Interesting. As far as this house goes, I really am hoping for a lot more selection from some of the best houses we've seen in the past 25 years. I'd like to see a Psycho nod or 2.
  11. Can anyone make a wallpaper for 6 Plus that has the "Jack 2" pic from that site that was linked to a few posts back?
  12. Does this mean it's not happening, or is there things going on in the house that are going to surprise us?
  13. Maybe we'll see The Caretaker and Scream House within the Anniversary Maze?
  14. I am also a Strengoit. Can't wait to get my PassCard tonight!
  15. Ok, are they using SS20 or SS23? Because one of my friends told me they saw SS23 listed somewhere.
  16. Active Back Up's can work more than 5 event nights, if so desired. I used to do ABU and I worked multiple nights.
  17. I don't have cable, but I am definitely looking forward to this house. Love me some zombies.
  18. I am still iffy on whether or not I enjoyed this year's show. I understood most of the parodied characters, but some of the jokes seemed dry to me and I didn't laugh nearly as much as I had anticipated on doing. Maybe I will give the show another chance, but so far it hasn't WOWed me. It's good, but could be better.
  19. From what I understand, it's not so much a "sprint through the house" mentality that the Ops team wants done, it's to get a lot of people in and out of the house in order to a) reach capacity and keep wait times as low as possible. I know at Winter's Night when I went through Saturday, the Ops team did an exceptional job with getting guests in and out, only waited 10-15 minutes during peak time of the night, and there was absolutely no sense of being "rushed through" or being told to "keep up with the party in front of you." I am not sure how it is at other houses since I mostly ignored the Ops there, but Winter's Night Ops really stood out for me as being among the best I have encountered.
  20. Deadtropolis in Sting Alley and Dungeon of Terror's exit in 2006. This video proves to be an epic scare moment (and a great degree of hilarity for all) :
  21. Here are my rankings/reasonings for the scarezones: 1. Nightmaze - I really like the concept of an ever-changing scarezone, and I hope this will be executed successfully without any issues. 2. Your Luck Has Run Out - I'm a big fan of icon areas/houses/zones, so this one is higher on my list. Would love to get a picture with Lady Luck. 3. 7 - The set changes sounds cool, and if it is taking place in Sting Alley, that's even more cool. 4. Grown Evil - The garden concept sounds interesting, and I can't wait to know more. 5. Canyon of Dark Souls - Interesting, not sure if I am looking forward to it all that much, but we'll see. 6. Acid Assault - I can see foam returning here...
  22. Here are my rankings/reasonings: 1. Nevermore: The Madness of Poe - I am a big Edgar Allen Poe fan, and that first picture of the house we got really exemplified my feelings towards this house, and I cannot wait to see how they pull it off. 2. Winter's Night: The Haunting of Hawthorn Cemetery - I am intrigued by this one, as I think it will be neat to go through an open cemetery, and the details that could go into this house could be unbelievable. 3. The Forsaken - I am really looking forward to this one as well because I am a huge fan of history, and I cannot wait to see how they will lock in the atmosphere of the house. 4. Nightingales: Blood Prey - I love reading about WWI, but not so sure how crazy I am over the banshees, lol. I am looking forward to the sets and scares, of course, so let's see how this one goes. 5. The Thing - I really loved Assimilation. I believe I listed it as my favorite haunt that year on the Vault. I am looking forward to seeing how they pull it off in a soundstage (where the first house should've been, anyways). 6. H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror - Usually, I find the dark comedy houses to be not as scary, with the scareactors even trying their hardest, yet I walk out asking myself, "Why did I not get scared?" I am going to give this house a chance, however, because I feel with the demented holidays, the scare factor could be there along with the comedic effect. 7. The In-Between: I really like the idea of this house and how it is going to be 3D. The only issue I have is if it will be better executed than Clown-o-Vision was. I have high hopes for this house. Make it rock! 8. Saws n Steam: Into the Machine - Don't like saws, hated the scarezone. This is my least anticipated house, and I probably won't go into it for fears of chainsaws, lol.
