  1. The Marvel Zombies idea is great! "Maximum Carnage: RETOLD!" I wish they could do something like that - however, permissions are tough considering Disney owns Marvel now.... :(

  2. Just saying, pre-judging goes both ways. Saying something has a chance of being the best is the same as something has a chance of being the worst. Nobody knows for sure. I'm not saying it'll be the worst, I'm saying that I personally am not looking forward to it, but to each his own. Some may not be stoked for The Thing, but that's their opinion and I respect it.

As long as there isn't a guy who is

getting his balls cut off with scissors

in Hostel, I think it'll be a fine maze. :P

  3. Hello sig makers,

I would like a signature, please. It should say "Dr. Satan" (without the quotation marks) on the left sid of the sig in this font: http://www.fontspace.com/david-kerkhoff/drawing-blood

Beneath that, I would like it to say "The Doctor is in..." (again, without the quotes) in that same font.

I would also like this image in the right side of the sig: Zombie450.jpg

Some blood stains around all of it would be cool. The text should be red with a white outline or shadow.

    Thanks!

    Doc

  4. I dont know if any one else has said this already, but i was in the line for jaws and the curtain was open for the HHN house and i saw big a gas tank that said pyro-fx on it. So i am thinking their will be fire in the house this year.

It sounds like it might just be leftover from Orfanage.

People were speculating a while back about the idea of a horror version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, and someone mentioned the film Gobstopper as a reference point.

Gobstopper, unfortunately, does not exist. It was a fake trailer made by Funny or Die for a non-existent movie.

But the concept itself, evil Willy Wonka (how about "Killy Wonka"?) could definitely work. That's something I'd love to see!

  5. Well, I'd recommend getting the pass for one night. Perhaps wait in the lines the first night, and skip through them the second night. I often find waiting in the lines a really big amp in anticipation.

I know you're accustomed to Orlando and how big that place is, but Hollywood is REALLY small. Seriously, you'll be done SUPER FAST. And I think you might even get a bit bored if you FOTL pass it both nights. But that's just me haha

Never been to the Orlando event. I live one state over from California, actually.

I see your point - that makes sense, and saves a LOT of money...

  6. Hmm trying to think if any of these things relate to insidious besides lots of SFX and an area that will be nearly pitch-dark...Sorry if this is a stupid question but what is a title character? and there is the old lady that has been following Josh who might have silver fillings? But thank you very much for this list Freak!(:

The title of the movie is a character's name (e.g. "Hannibal", "Carrie", etc...)

  7. ^ Wish granted LeeRay. :)

    GV Black:

-Will have area in maze that will be nearly pitch-dark

    -Lots of SFX

-Character has silver fillings in movie

-Has something that indirectly relates to dentistry

-Murdy thought of the codename when reading the film's script...

We have speculated on GV Black being anything from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness to Trick r Treat to Scream to the Thing. My money's on the Thing.

THIS IS SO FREAKING EXCITING!!!!! :D :D :D

Don't forget, it's a title character movie. And they don't have silver fillings.

  8. I think IKWYDLS is doable, considering Dead Man's Wharf (which is actually why I brought it up in the first place).

And it very well can be done. I can think of a maze off the top of my head right now:

    Beach/dock outside scene

Fish gutting area (where Leonard from Big Bang Theory gets the hook in the jaw)

The sister's house (sister with a knife for a random scare)

Locker room (before he gets ran down)

    Pageant show balcony

    The store with mannequins

Back alleys (where cop is killed, turn down the alley with a bunch of boxes to where SMG is killed)

Fisherman's boat for the finale (use some motion floors like they did for the pirates maze at Knotts awhile back)

Final scare in a shower room

And that's just the first, the second one would be more environment friendly for a maze but it IS doable and all those places could easily be made scary. The first few rooms could use some transitional areas so it meshes better but definitely doable. Now I know a guy in a slicker and a hook isn't the scariest thing but pick axe was pretty lame if you ask me.

I see what you're saying, but the movie just hasn't been popular in a long time. No one would understand half of it, anyways. I suppose that's what I should have said before.

And Trevler, I know. That maze was pretty awesome. And I think Dead Man's Wharf was a lot better than an actual IKWYDLS maze would be.

  9. My assumption was that 3DN was referring to a movie with:

    A Broken Neck (hint)

That was set in Canada (International) and

Features Fresh Baked Cookies & Burnt Flesh.

3DN - Three Dog Night's biggest hit was "Joy To The World" which is also the name of a popular Xmas song...

Thus... Black Xmas. A Recently Remade, yet classic horror flick

You're right that the hints all point to it, but it is indeed very unlikely we'll see Black X-Mas as a maze. And were there really that many enviorments that could be contributed into a maze? All I could see is the living room, the attic, and maybe the space beneath the house... but that's it. It just wouldn't work.

By the way, welcome to HNN! :D

  10. ^^ Apparently, HOTC is actually not returning. They've completely painted over the walls. All of them are bare now. No sign whatsoever that it's HOTC.

^ Yes. And Eli Roth is a judge on the contest this year. Murdy said it as "our good friend Eli Roth"....

So here's what I'm thinking. Eli Roth made "Hostel". They're good friends with him. My guess? A "Hostel" maze.

  11. I hope what Freakazoid says is true. Im not happy at all to hear of its rumored return. If its a maze based off the mind of Rob Zombie than hey its something new and not a repeat so ill go for it.

Not really. Back in 1999, they had a maze called "The Thrilling, Chilling World of Rob Zombie" that was a look into his mind. It featured elements from a lot of his music videos. That was the first RZ maze to be featured at HHN, followed up in 2000 with the first incarnation of a HOTC maze.

I really liked the first RZ maze, so if it's something like that, I'll go for it as well.
