They do have the Monsters Cafe and of course the "Horror Make-Up Show" so there is some representation year-round but I agree I wish there was more. Personally, I love the humor and campiness of the Horror Make-up show but I wouldn't complain at all about an update. Truthfully, it needs it so I feel like, if done right, that could really be the key to making horror fans happy year-round. That and maybe some costumed classic monster meet and greets from the Frankenstein monster, Gill-man, the Mummy. It would be easy to have them stationed outside the Monsters Cafe for photos/autographs. Highly unlikely to happen but a fan can dream.

They have Frankenstein's Monster and the Mummy out for meets at Hollywood, why not Orlando??

We got on Fallon during last HHN, and I HATED it.  I thought when it was announced as a "new ride" that it was a joke.  Then, as time moved on, I realized they were serious.

Sorry to be one of those people, but the ride didn't even open till April of this year. Soft openings weren't even until like March or so.

If I remember correctly, they have Garlic, Salt & Vinegar, and Season Salt. Nothing spicy. And then of course there's the mysterious poutine.

I'm not even gonna do houses this year, I'm just gonna go to every food booth to find out if there actually is poutine.

Also, I kinda wish I had gone with my original plan to go to NYC and see Sweeney Todd off-Broadway. At least then I wouldn't have to book a hotel since I have friends I can crash with

Here's what I think is the behind the scenes:

Marketing Director: People, Volcano Bay is a fucking PR disaster.  I want all hands on deck.  Everyone drop what you're doing and make a positive spin on this.

Marketing Team: But we have Horror Nights coming up??

Marketing Director:  That shit runs itself.  Throw some type of countdown clock on the website that'll keep people occupied for weeks on end.

Marketing Team:  What happens when it runs out?

Marketing Director:  Do I have to come up with everything??  Do whatever.  Recycle the old Harry Potter ads that we recycled to begin with.  Have sales figure it out for all I care.

Like for real real tho, they are showing ads for the fricking Mummy ride on Insta right now. Like what?

He actually does have makeup on. he has welt like bruises on him and some light makeup to make him more pale. He use to have a mouthpiece that made his teeth and gums look a little red but I think they did away with that.

Ah ok. With the conga line I didn't get a great look at him, I saw him reset and barely start to come out again when I was almost out of the room. I barely even got to see Hypodermic Sally.

Also, can I just say that whoever is playing Amazon Eve is a seriously gorgeous guy? I mean he has makeup on so it helps, but still.

    What did you think of:

      Hide contents

"mattress dude?"  If they'd dress him up like the character in the show, that would be extremely eerie. Not sure why they haven't.

Yeah, I thought it was weird that he didn't even have any makeup or anything.

When I tried for the GAT, I kept thinking I was going to accidentally pull down the non-GAT ropes.  Is it supposed to activate an air burst?

Yes.  I think there were a few bursts. I pulled on a few, just not hard. The gat one didn't need to be pulled too hard either.

  8. I liked this house ok. Due to lines I only went through once. The first half was solid and I got some good scares. Second half, I kept walking in as soon as the vignettes were ending. It was a gorgeous house though, and captured the different seasons beautifully.

  9. Seriously this house was so good. Like I love this house so much. I watched the movie like the night before I left so it was fresh in my mind, and it was such a wonderful adaptation of the movie. And I got some really good scares. Those damn Pazuzus are creepy. Luckily, my nose isn't that sensitive to scents, so I didn't smell much vomit. I did get a whiff during the UTH and it really turned my stomach.

The snow globes inside Krampus includes Shadeybrook, the Myers house, and Screamhouse with Albert Caine glancing out the window.

The house from NOES is in one of them too. Shout out to the person who did all the paper art for them cause they're really good! Seriously I wish I could have taken pictures of all the globes.
