Slightly off topic, but going back to It and The Shining......does anyone know why King hates haunted houses/mazes so much, especially considering how many crappy movie adaptations there have been of his books? (I'm looking at you Needful Things)

I find it humorous that the first rule is wear a costume and we’re not allowed to wear costumes to HHN. But I guess that’s why everyone will be after us in the house.
I’m really excited for this house. There’s so many great characters from the movie to put in the house. I expect there to be a room/scene based off the opening with the sheets on the lawn (were they scarecrows, scarecrow ghosts? I just watched it this past weeken you’d think I’d be able to remember).

Aw, Krampus was pretty good! I would've appreciated more actual Krampus but other than that it was fun and atmospheric.
I enjoyed the house on the UTH tour more than the house. But only cause we could get a closer look at the awesome paper art in the snow globes. Not that I have an pictures to remember them by (I think our group was the first one that year to be told no pics in the IP houses)

Man I really hope this turns out better than the Krampus house.

Dynamite works for Trick r Treat. I bet they blasted the hell out of that quarry.
Possible secret house code-names are reduced to:
Snacks
Rag-Tag
Feature
I'd guess Feature?
Would it be possible to get a list of the code names, and/or clues that we have so far?

I like the VHS movies if only cause they’re ballsy enough to have peen in them. No pun intended, well slightly intended.

Sorry, I'm behind and trying to catch up so sorry if this has been addressed.
I don't know if it means anything, but these are all Tori Amos songs, and she is a singer/songwriter with red hair.

Wasn't there also a Legion TV series on SyFy, or am I confusing it with something else? Anyway, my top pick for angel battle movies would be The Prophecy with Christopher Walken, which also features Viggo Mortensen as Satan (!). However, that movie has zero gothic aesthetic. The pics from the Fallen house look more like Hellraiser than any actual angels & demons stuff I've seen.
Theres the X-Men spinoff series on FX that's the only other Legion I know of. Technically Exorcist 3, but people usually just call it that lol

i think your signature image broke
No, apparently Photobucket is being an ass and now you have to pay to be able to post photos on places like this. Something like that. It's stupid.

The only good voodoo movies, in my opinion, are Serpent and the Rainbow and Angel Heart. Honestly can't think of another one...but they'd have to be the top 2 regardless
Serpent and the Rainbow FTW!!!

This is the year of pretending things didn't happen. With them saying the Altars zone is the first time they've had maze characters in a sz to this being "one of the first times, in recent memory" that a sz has become a house. The Saws and Steam house wasn't that long ago. Hell, technically even The Purge went from sz to house but I understand that's not the exact same predicament.

elevator scene will probably just be the aftermath, meaning a room full of blood paint everywhere like the elevator room from Cabin in the Woods
God I hope not. That's one of the most iconic scenes from the movie. Though the blood usually gets off on the second floor.

I'm excited for this zone but I can already hear the dudebros making "probe" jokes in my head and I'm just like uggggggghh

Off topic I know, but Trader Sams is the replacement for the Adventurers Club right? I miss that place so much. Was never old enough to drink there but had such a great time there every time without fail. The actors there were fantastic, the level of interaction was brilliant, and just a fun night all round!
I mean it's similar but different. It's its own thing for the most part.

The commercial is ok. But the longer video just reminded me of the crush I have on Eli Roth (don't judge me).
Ive tried to be optimistic about the lack of regular updates or the fact that there's no reveal yet, but the closer it gets to my trip the more I just wanna skip Universal almost altogether and just do Disney World. I already cancelled one of my Universal days to do epcot then go to hhn. Oh well

Feasible no. I think the spinning water tunnel from Poseidon would be a cool way to do it but not feasible for a temporary haunted house.
Well that would also change it from blood gushing out of an elevator into swirling blood vortex of doom. But if they're going kinda cerebral like Exorcist it could work haha

Listen, I would cry happy tears all over that damn park if they sold hot cider/fritters/cider donuts/pumpkin goodness. Don't get my hopes up. WHY do they not offer proper fall/Halloween snacks??
Florida is mostly hot in Sept-Oct?

"Early Access Events for Halloween Horror Nights
Valid Seasonal and Annual Passholders receive advanced admission to three houses Sept. 15, 16, 22 and 23 (must RSVP and have a valid event ticket)."
Nope no link yet. Will probably be beginning of September

The blood elevator scene is most likely gonna be a projection, yes? I mean is there any other feasible way they can achieve it?

EDIT: never mind I misread.
Also, I find it funny that the hand with the tape player looks like they're pressing record instead of just play.
