Every year when I take vacation, my coworkers ask where I'm going and I say HHN. Every year without fail they ask what's HHN. After I explain it they're like oh yeah, that thing. At least I can come here to talk to people about HHN.

Same, and their eyes glaze over when I start trying to explain it to them

Gingerbread smoke is definitely in the series. They didn't water Bing's character down as much as I thought they would.

I would get so many chills if mid-house, you walked across the shorter way and it opened into the Christmasland gates. Kind of like how they did the mid-way Haddonfield Hospital a few years ago.

I think it could make a good transitional tool as well. You cross through the bridge and it has the next destination on the wall. Though I don't know how many settings they could use. I'm on the second episode now and just finished the scene with Bing and Manx. (I rewatched the first episode again)

ETA: I *was* on the second episode. Either my ipad, the app, or the wifi here at work keep messing up. When I restart the app the episode starts over again at the part where she confronts her dad. It's done that twice now, so I'll just wait till I get home

I loved the book too. I'm six episodes in, and I'm actually enjoying all of the changes their making to the narrative. It makes sense for a TV show.

Wait until you get a glimpse of Christmasland (pretty sure that was in episode 5). The gates were made to be an HHN facade.

I don't have AMC Premier just Sling so I have to watch them as they air, lol. Honestly there's so much (from the book at least) they could use in a house. Manx, Bing, a couple of the vamp kids, the smell of gingerbread in the air (which I hope they keep in the series). I would legit cry if part of it was walking through the Shorter Way.

There is few people saying this is last straw for them this year because no discounts for AP on Fear passes with express.
I think is a slightly awkward thing.
I knew it was going to happen to sooner.
I mean once when they take stuff away from team members, you don't think the other benefits are going to remain.

It's just on the FF+. The regular FF does have a discount. But it does make sense with as big as the event is getting. We'll see what happens next year.

  5. I'm mixed on this house. It always seemed to be missing actors, or I just had bad timing almost every run. But it was gorgeous and a lot of fun. I got barfed on just about every time I went through the Humpty room. I tried to stall and catch the flying witch at the end, but then there was a second witch in that room who scared me forward so I never got to see that. I still don't understand the Little Mermaid room. The pigs got me almost every time.

One run, we walked in on the witch getting attached to her rig, but when they finished she flew right over my head so it made it awesome!

I want to try and count how many Sams there actually are in this house, I could see around 10.

He's in every scene except the city scene, and the first quarry scene. Though the tour guide asked for me during the UTH and since there are 2 quarry scenes it technically counts as one (yeah I called BS on that lol).

  7. I really enjoyed this house. So much I got an Amazon Cannibals shirt. My favorite trailer though was the one for the Foul Fists of Dr. Faustus. And my favorite scene was of course the Swamp Yeti (every single time!! That damn yeti!!!)

  8. Ok I think I'm imagining things, but I swear in the bedroom scene the son had an entire small clown on him when I went through twice on Saturday 10/27, but every night I went since then it was just the clown's arm. Is my brain playing tricks on me??

    Update, and possible spoilers!
The Orlando Informer articles on this year's HHN have included a couple new deets on 'Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After.'
In talking about what fairy tale characters would appear in it, there were a couple new mentions:
    1. It confirms my suspicions that Rapunzel will be in it.
    2. It apparently will also feature "Hansel and Gretel salivating for human flesh." Perhaps they'll be eating the Witch instead of the other way around and that'll be the "Revenge" room? In either case, I am glad they're doing a Hansel & Gretel room again for this one. Even just the original version of that story is pretty freaking scary when you think about it, and the Hansel & Gretel room in 'Once Upon a Nightmare' stuck out for me as being one of the scariest in that House.

They said Rapunzel was gonna be in it on the live feed, and that her hair has become sentient.
