  1. I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's.. his hair was perfect

  2. I like the concept of this alot but.. I feel like of the three originals, this one might be the one that gets the short end of the stick. Reality is one of these will get the least amount of budget. It's easier to get away with toning stuff down for this house with things like trees and corn (example the last few forrest rooms of La Llorona last year).
  3. This type of thread gets created every year and it never gets any less ridiculous. USF was the 16th most visited theme park in the world with over 7 million visitors in 2013. They appeal to the masses, not the 100 or so die hard fans, and the masses want IP's. This event "isn't what it used to be" because the attendance is much greater than it has ever been. The Walking Dead smashed records on its way to being the #1 rated show on cable and among HHN's age demographic. It would have been stupid of them to not continue to bring it in. I'm sorry but it's the reality. Also I find it hilarious that it's horrible that Walking Dead is coming back again yet Jack's return (this would be his SEVENTH) is highly requested every sngle year. They absolutely do things that cater to us, don't act like they don't. Who do you think the Unmasking the Horror tours are for? Who do you think they created that Legendary Truth game (which was free) for two years ago? Those things cost money and they do it for us to show their appreciation. Wanna know what the real "status" of HHN is? It's kicking ass. As for the "they lack creativity" claims, I'll let Mr. Gromoll handle that:
  4. Last time they tried this, (Lady Luck) everyone HATED it. Everyone loves to whine that they "don't listen to the fans", but they do. The last icon didn't get a great reaction, so I think they took that into account and shifted focus to making sure they have a strong lineup of houses to bring to the event.
  5. Hush, hush, hush. Here comes the Boogeyman.

  6. Ya know, I honestly find this whole icon thing pretty funny. Alot of people tend to like to yell that they dont listen to the fans, but I think they definitely do. Think about it.. HHN 21 had Lady Luck and the reaction was overwhelmingly negative. Maybe they figured "hey they didnt like our last idea, lets just focus on bringing the best environments to the event to build and set our houses in" for a few years.
  7. You mean the business made a very smart decision to keep the expansion that cost hundreds of millions seperate from the event that locals get a heavy discount to go to, right?
  8. There is plenty they can do set wise for this. I can already see the cars from last year, the bus, that newspaper stand and the Walker Bomb truck all in use.. and that's just stuff they already have that they can reuse. I'd expect some banners and a polite stranger speaker like Hollywood had. With the chainsaws, motorcycles, and some search lights added in, I dont see how this doesnt have awesome potential.
  9. I think it's safe to finally go ahead make this post now: My all time favorite horror movie and horror icon is coming to my favorite place on the planet. Dream come true. I was hoping they would play this up as Michael's homecoming, and it looks like they are. Beautiful. CANNOT WAIT.
  10. HE'S COMING HOME, HE'S COMING HOME, TELL THE WORLD THAT HE'S COMING HOME!

  11. I'm Bill Paxton.

    1. Freak

      Freak

      THE FINGER OF GOD

  12. Why not? Wouldnt it be inside the soundstage anyway? They had posters saying "XXX Orgy" in AWIL last year so I dont see why they wouldnt have "Titty Twister" if it is a necessary part of the house.
  13. Maybe only parts of it are actually 3D, which is possible. They can enclose sections if they absolutely needed to. Last update I saw, it didnt look like lighting was even started yet, so they very well can still be adding some sort of cover to some rooms.
  14. I'd be so turned on and so deathly afraid at the same time... Nah but really, every year I feel like I'm the only one who needs to watch these movies for the first time before I visit, but looks like now we're all on the same page here with this one.
  15. HHN - Orlando ‏@HorrorNightsORL 38s Again this is as of today so it's bare walls at this point.. Here is the start of the Big Spot exterior
  16. With LeBron announcing his homecoming today, it's only a matter of time before the return we are all waiting for.. Image is fan made and not at all official
  17. With that facade, no doubt it's the original. I AM NOT OK OVER HERE
  18. Ah well, from what I've seen, I think the Orlando GP does a pretty good job overall when it comes to knowing what to expect from the event before they get there. I sorta disagree, if they announce "scare zones are back", a very large majority will know what it means.
  19. I feel like I'm always the devil's advocate here, but why do you guys always assume the GP hates The Walking Dead? Who's to say they didnt enjoy the streets? I did and I'm not the GP..
  20. Soundstage or parade. Dont they usually only use half of the parade building? Maybe kick the floats out this year? I have no idea what I'm even talking about.
  21. The house the first year wasn't very good at all, I'll give you that.. but last year I thought it was a really strong house and they gave us the biggest street set piece ever. Now the largest house ever? I'm in. Highest rated cable tevelevision show in history in the event's demographic and this property is why the event sold out for only the second time ever. You really still question why it's back?
  22. EDDIE IS COMING HOME. HHN24: ICU.
