  1. They disappeared like magic or something, now it's the opposite of Fourth of July. God Save the Queen.
  2. At the risk of messing with your head even more.. the girl in the song is named Mary.
  3. 74 is too early for disco. Disco vampires would be more like Vamp 78 with John Travolta Saturday Night Fever vampires and Village People Vampires at Studio 54!!!! Vamp 74 could have been funky blaxploitation vampire pimps vs. kung fu werewolves!!!!
  4. The lofty kin tweet was made right after HHNRumors tweeted that the Ifrit might be the same person as Emeric Belasco/The Autumn Wind. For new people Emeric Belasco was a clue giver in 2010 and changed His/Her identity to The Autumn Wind in 2011. I believe the Ifrit was directly responding to that. I know for a positive fact that the person who gave the Emeric Belasco and Autumn Wind clues back in 2010-2011 completely retired after that and is no longer involved in such activities at all. whoever the Ifrit might be, it's not that one. I stress this because people's careers could be endangered.
  5. Actually neither Mike nor Patrick can just make an announcement. All information released to the public must be approved by Publicity and Marketing. I remember at a press conference in London where Mike was going to announce a house a couple years ago, Publicity pulled the plug and he just talked about the houses that had already been announced. People asked him for clues and hints or "c'mon you can tell us, we won't say anything" But Mike pointed to Allison Lundell from Publicity who was standing right beside him.
  6. Mike was retweeting something a friend of his said - his friend had arrived in NY and due to jet lag couldn't get to sleep and watched a favorite horror film set in NY. Mike just retweeted it and said "Wonderful". He approved of the film choice and it likely has nothing at all to do with HHN. Inferno is a Dario Argento film that has some scenes in Rome, but mostly takes place in NY. It is his follow up to Suspiria and is the second film in the Three Mothers trilogy. The first two films are true classics and are quite wonderful. But it took Argento over a two decades to finally make part three: The Mother of Tears which was quite frankly a huge disappointment. Nevertheless a house based on either Suspiria or Inferno would be quite amazing, but I fear those cult films are just not well known enough by the general public for him to ever get approval. A long shot at best.
  7. btw I tracked down the person who is spanish apparently also a dj at local nightclubs. so may have meant si as in yes.
  8. "we shall "si". hmmm, was this creative team member a person who might speak Spanish? If so maybe they weren't saying "we shall see" but "we shall yes!"
  9. Lenny the Wonder Cat is here to save us all!

  10. Whereas I would absolutely love to see either a Castlevania attraction or HHN house at Universal, I do have to point out that the Nintendoland would only be for actual Nintendo characters like Mario etc. Not every game available on the Nintendo system was actually owned and created by Nintendo. Castlevania was not a game made by Nintendo, but rather is owned by Konami.
  11. Last year there was Kong. A single attraction in one of the theme parks. This year there is an entire new theme park. I would not be surprised if they have moved everything up in order not to have any problems like last year. We may get our first announcements earlier than ever before.
  12. RIP BOB the Cat. July 4, 2004 - January 31, 2017. My dear little cat lost her fight with cancer. She is deeply missed.

    2. Grime

Sorry to hear that Jimmy. We lost our dog Apollo to cancer on Thanksgiving this year. My thoughts are with you.

  13. Call me crazy, call me psycho, but Murdy may be using an awful pun with Writer's Block and we've all taken the bait.
  14. Or Charles and Checkmate are the same property. In the Q&A Murdy was asked if he would make a maze based on a Stephen King book or film. He said he would absolutely if he were allowed to - an open ended answer. He did not say " we can't we're not allowed to". The next question should have been "are you allowed to this year?" King famously will not give the rights to his books for haunts. But what about the rights to films based on those books? How much control does he have over the films? Particularly how much control would he have over film rights he sold at the beginning of his career before he became the power he is today? The Shining was shot by Stanley Kubrick for Warner Brothers and King has said many times he was not happy with the film. He had his "own" version made for television many years later. The rights would be controlled, I believe by the Kubrick estate and Warners. And they just succeeded in a difficult negotiation with Warners last year for The Exorcist - a property they had pursued for years and years. The contract allowed the maze in three separate HHN events last year. So Warners has now gotten into a comfortable place with Universal for HHN rights - could they have circumvented Stephen King entirely and got The Shining? As someone pointed out Murdy said he was surprised they are even doing Charles which would point to a property long thought impossible to acquire, and the elevator scene indeed fits quite well with what he had been saying as well. So why Charles? Charles is the name of the future King. Odds are if they have gotten The Shining it will be a shared IP, how could they not use it wherever they can? I'd expect it in Hollywood, Orlando and Osaka like with The Exorcist. So could Checkmate be for The Shining as well? Checkmate is what you say when you finally take the King. All of this is, of course, mere speculation.
  15. Indeed. From just such a Q&A he gave on Twitter we now know that Charles contains an "iconic scene" that was very hard for him to realize in a maze. He says the code name refers to the property but is "personal". He also said about that one that he was surprised they got the property. Hmmmm. He also said Lemonade refers to something the filmmaker of the property said to him about the film. That at least reveals the property for the first maze IS a film, rather than a TV series like AHS.
