  1. Can somebody please post the backstories? I really want to know what they are, but I am unable to look at them because I never beat the first series of games
  2. There is now a new tab on the website about the Thing, confirming that it will be a house this year. It also gives a brief synopsis and a link to the movie trailer. Nothing too interesting, however.
  3. Interesting concept. I like it, sounds like a vast improvement over MyX. Whether or not Uni would actually pick up on this idea, I doubt, but if executed correctly it could lead to a very successful event. If I recall correctly, wasn't there a heavy metal sort of concert going on in Doomsday during HHN18? (I did not attend the event that year) The biggest reason that house failed for me was the lack of creativity. Sure, some scenes were cool, but it also seemed as if apathy ran rampant throughout that house. The scareactors didn't make much sense some of the time, the sets all looked the same, and they brought nothing new to the table as far as ideas go; there was just so much wasted potential. However, I do not find it likely that Uni would pick this up as an idea; HHN has always been a much darker and serious than HOS has ever been, and the whole idea of rock band gone psycho doesn't seem dark or scary enough to suit HHN. Perhaps the concept could stand alone as a slightly dark-humored house, but taking up more room than that i can't see happening.
  4. I personally think that, if given a choice between the two, Uni should choose to make another scarezone. If the guests don't know much about the Icon when they arrive at the event, that's partly due to Marketing's fault; the story about the Icon should be smeared all over the website, and lightly in the commercials. I guess what I'm getting at is that even though the arrival shows can be mildly entertaining, the space would be more valuable if used as a scarezone.
  5. Out of the all the possibilities Uni could do as a house in the coming years, I find the idea of a Japanese horror house the most appealing. If done correctly (as in no ties to The Grudge,) it could be a stellar house. They definatley have the possibilities to create very visually appealing sets, and hopefully new and inventive scares using the various demons and creatures that have been born out of Japanese folklore and their modern horror movies. Hopefully the environments could surpass the sets of Home for The Holidays, and hopefully still contain top-notch scares.
