OK everyone, stay with me on this one.
You know the sketch that was part of the newest HHN site update that looks EXACTLY like the Shadybrook Asylum. Well some people were saying that it could mean that a Psychoscareapy would return while others said it was a coincidence and that there wouldn't be a Psychoscareapy house this year. Well what if it was a little of both! What if, inside the rumored house that would be all about the history of HHN, there was a Psychoscareapy section. After all, having been at HHN 3 times now, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see it in a HHN History house.
I'm pretty sure this is what the parade building house is. Essentially a "best of" type of house. Just like Hollywood. I would doubt they'd have multiple houses like this, though I'm not part of A&D so who knows.

Glad to see LT back finally. They are discussing the problems with the lantern. Is it the lantern itself? or powers from within the lantern? i guess we just have to wait, but its ok, because things have really started to get going. these are going to be a fun 2 months leading up!

Honestly though the mazes are "REALY" good quality for bing under tents and I have looked up in some of the mazes and they do use stuff so you cant tell the roof is a tens or the'll put a roof over the room, in halloween there was a roof over your head when in the asylum or in the house same for TCM, and they tend use a night sky effect for outdoor scenes like in F13 and My blooody valentine, and that maze there was roofs also like in the mine so its not like because there not in SS they are "that" limited.
That good to hear. A&d are very creative and certainly make the best of what they have. I could only imagine the quality going up having the use of soundstages.

You guys do what you can, and its certainly better than nothing. It is too bad they cant throw some in the SS as you said. It really opens up opportunities.

Honestly, who is really looking @ the ceiling while walking thru a house? And it doesnt affect sound & lighting at all.
Well thats good to know. I do look at the ceiling, because in our houses we have scenes that the ceilings have things to look at, or many times when there are things placed very high.
Though i dont doubt hollywoods ability to be creative in such small areas, you'd think though they'd want to find larger places for some houses.

basicly. we got an extra maze this year so we dont know where that is located yet but for the most part they are all under tents
that just doesn't seem to exciting, nor does it seem to leave much room for size. and then it makes me think about how difficult it would be to set up sounds/lighting.
do the mazes tend to just go from left to right etc...?

I've never been to HHNH, and after seeing the construction pictures so far, it appears as if the houses are under those long skinny pop tents. Is this the case for all of the houses?

I haven't been home to look at the pictures. Though there was a post showing a picture of the crest that's being speculated to possibly belong to something military.
At the same time people are saying it may have something to do with shadybrook. If this is the case, what if this was a family crest?

I just want to throw out a few of my thoughts, as we've been throwing back and forth the "no movies" this year.
As of yet, we know we've received no information saying that surely we will have no movie houses. Though we haven't ruled out that this isn't true, I personally am standing behind it thinking we wont have movie based houses. Though yes, maybe we wills surely see houses, or parts of houses that reference to some movies, I don't see any houses about just movies; i.e "the crazies."
We have to think about some things that have been said, such as "scrapbook year." OK, so when your having a 20th anniversary and piecing together things from the past, as well as creating a future. You'd think, this years ideas would come from ORIGINAL content from years past. As we've come to find out, many of the most popular houses and memories come from parts of the event that were created by A&D.
Sure we'd love to see Freddy or Michael Myers, and even live a house like "the crazies." But, this year is set to be EPIC. So what better way to create a year that will be above and beyond anything in the past, than to showcase what has made this event so amazing year after year. Show me a museum house(Best Of) to remind me whats been loved, and show more of something/someone i know enough about, but want to learn more...Eddie/Cindy. Then bring the fire with more new content to blow me away with where this event plans to go.
So basically, i believe they are making a scrapbook 20th anniversary of all old, yet to shine, and new content. I don't see a reason to take up space with any movies other than a reference.
They have more than enough original content from past, present, future to create an awesome event.
Speculate away on everything reminding you of this movie or that, but take a second and also give A&D some credit.

So i was just looking at the "Fans of Universal Orlando's Art and Design" and there are two pics of a Predator mask (I guess it is) Has there been any event where he has been used?
Bill and Ted in 2008 I believe.

Some new pics there. Not sure if they were taken from visitor approved areas (I doubt it, but can't be sure...I'm 1200 miles away and only go down 1 time a year during HHN so I always have access to the areas).
Some very brave and interesting pictures there. That facade is massive!
As for disaster, i thought that plane was always there? Though i cant say i remember it looking as if its been through fire troubles.

I lost count of how many nights we got extended. On the note of being Cast B for streets you usually can catch a house. If you are cast A depending on your location you might be able to see a house when you get off work.
Last year in Cast B, we signed in at 7 and never closed. Before signing in, I literally could see the entire park if I wanted to. Some cast members went out after we got done, but I usually couldn't get out of makeup in time. As said, it all depends on location and cast.

...wow, Jaws has a swing set for an entrance and a forest scene, but the scareactors are bed clothes, nightmare man, and valedictorian... all im seeing is a huge clusterf**k of the most random things. Uni has us completely confused and they are laughing behind their computer screens.
Though this should be in the spec thread, im just going to throw out there. Ever heard of a field trip or class trip of any sort? Just saying.

I never said i didn't know where your coming from, though in most cases i agree, its just annoying seeing your constant negativity.
The point of the forum is for people to express their opinions, and everything is fair game.
There is nothing saying it is, or isn't a mental hospital, though from the things i've heard it may not be to far off.
All im saying is please take a chill pill. Why waste your time posting, if its just to tell someone their opinion is dumb, yes even if its so stupid and clearly makes no sense at all. It's their opinion, and thats that.

Unless we have credible evidence that it's for sure not a mental hospital, and I'm not even saying it is. Just, honestly man. Chill out. You only post when you wanna make someone stupid, and it's more annoying reading your posts than people whose speculations are just absurd.

Because to some of us it's so blatantly obvious that there's no doubt as to why it is fake. Others like to complicate things.
I don't know about the logo, could be real. As for the "Bloody Mary Image"... fake.
we've already proved that the logo is in fact real.
As for the other picture, im not saying its real. there is no evidence of this, though i hope it ends up being legit.

right, and i think its getting shot down because of its lacking perfection. it looks very amateur, understandably making it seem to be fake. i remember last year seeing leaked pictures of the figurines that to me didn't look real, nor like something they would use. I was wrong and they ended up being legit.
now that we are getting into the later weeks of july, you'd think we will begin seeing some more frequent updates.
i'm still trying to figure out whether the current site we have, will continue on and update, or if its still just a teaser host site until we get the page they will more frequently update.
I can see them using the page we have now, as an additional clickable link in whatever site they end up putting up next. so that we can still view the information it currently has.

which one are you talking about being fan art? the HHNXX is not fan art, and is real. The drawing may be fan art yes, but it'd be nice if its something random that got leaked.

Im not sure why everyone is so quick to just shoot these things down to being fake. Why not think that maybe they could be real, and maybe they are things getting leaked, regardless of how significant they may or may not be.
clearly the logo as said is in the newsletter. so instead of immediately saying things cant be real, take a min and accept we have even anything new real or not.

I've been saying that house will be a museum or as i said, best of house. similar to how hollywood is going to be set up, it just seems to fit with the roles people are being cast for in that house.

The image above was sent in by anonymous. It's an official image from Uni. The significance of this image is the fact that it uses "HHN" over "Halloween Horror Nights" - Could this be a new marketing effort? Not trying to read too far into it but it does look nice and it's still sticking with the Twenty Years of Fear slogan.
I dont know that i've ever seen them use HHN, though i like the way it looks.
As for that possible bloody mary pic, i suppose it could be real. the talk about what the house could be like seems plausible at least
