  1. Alone here is the problem, vague explanations over why you hate something. iLOVEhhn ironically enough wrote quite the scathing review and you know what people are understanding and legitimizing their complaints because they make sense. People are going to scoff at you when you say "There was just to much blue this year." and honestly why wouldn't they?

I couldn't agree more. There is an expression "perception is reality". When you take the aproach and the name you did Alone, the PERCEPTION is that you are a shill for HOS and come here just to

get attention and anger the HHN fans. I'm not saying that is the REALITY but perhaps if you look at this objectively you can see how many view this. Like Jake said ilovehhn's review was just that a review that gave reasoning and logic to his/her opinion. There may be just as many that disagree with it but because of the way it was presented the reaction was completely different.

  2. Procrastination.

These are the actors that got me on Sunday the 10th:

    .

-Frankenstein in Hallow'd Past. He swung the dummy towards me, and then leaned his whole body at me. He made me duck for cover and I ran right into Treaks n' Foons.

    -

wait a minute..there's a Frankenstein in Hallow'd Past ?!? I've been in like 4 times and missed him every time :( By your description I'm guessing its in the end of the black light/strobe skeleton room right?

  3. It was envisioned as exactly what it is-a photo op zone with people's favorite icons, who also get to scare as many people as possible.

I've been resisting getting my picture taken with you guys cause I felt it wasn't the intent...now that I know otherwise I will be on the

lookout for a new facebook profile pic....and of course plenty of scares ;)

  4. Shout out to the amazing Saws and Steam crew...with the carzy crowds last night it was a recipie for taking the easy road but you guys were so frickin pumped up it was insane. Saws and Steam and Havoc have some of the most energetic casts I've seen in some time.

Got to play with my favorite Cindy in the Orfanage which is always a treat.

It was absolutely insane last night. I don't mind busy with the college crowd and adults but the children last night were out of control. You couldn't tell the zombies from the staggering kids in zombie gras. Kudos to all scareactors in all zones and houses last night...I sure wouldn't have the patience for it but you guys hung tough on a rough night...nice work!!

  5. I too look forward to this review. I've been going since the begining and nothing about this year made me consider skipping next year. I also think crowds are pretty strong for the begining of the season and saw no indication of "disapearing crowds". It's always facinating how people can get such different experiences at an event like this...perhaps it's the "live theatre" nature of it which tends to make the "show" different due to the many variables when you view it. It can also be outside elements like traffic, the right touring companion, weather, etc. I think expectations also play a big part although I was pretty pumped up this year and that didn't seem to effect me. Like everyone I can pick apart things that did or did not work for me but to write off the whole event seems kind of extreme alone so I'm looking forward to hearing why it fell apart for you.

  6. I just got back from doing the UMTH: Twenty Years of Fear tour and it was incredible! It was absolutely worth the money, and I'm so glad that I did it. The guides were great, and the group was small so it all worked out great! I LOVED being able to take my time and look through the Hallow'd Past; I took in total about 179 pictures. Ha! The Q&A with the Art and Design team was awesome; they were very open and gracious. If you are a dedicated HHN fan; THIS is the tour for you.

I was also in HD's tour group and can't say enough about this tour. With the possible exception of soiling myself in Hallow'd Past :) the experience was absolutely a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I was very hesitant about the pricetag but decided to treat myself and was not disapointed. The extra $$ over the standard tour was well worth it. We had a small group of 6 which allowed for lots of interaction with the guides and the creative team. Like HD said they were super open and giving with what they shared and you could tell they were as big a fan of the event as we were. I could have listened to their stories for hours.

  7. Had a good one Sunday night. My daughter was working on a photagraphy assignment for school and taking a bunch of pics in Saws and Steam around dusk. We were moving much slower than we should have while she was snapping away. The guy up on the landing came down to talk with her. Instead of scolding her for blocking the traffic flow he had the greatest in character reaction ever. He pointed out that she didn't need her legs to take pictures and would it be ok if he took some off of one leg...she would still be able to hobble around. Not even growly about it just pleasant and mater of fact conversation...very funny.

  8. Shotguys is right we don't need anything crazy full-blown this early but

"No alerts issued in your area"

"No warnings currently in effect in your area"

...seems a tad neglectful. No alerts OR warnings. Maybe the collective didn't notice but FRICKIN FEAR has been released. You'd kind think that would warent a code amber at the very least.

  9. Jack became a sell out the second time he was used as an icon because Universal was worried about offending someone. Everything beyond that as just cheapened him more and more and more. I think Gargoyle is on the right track...clowns never realy scared me too much before but at this point he's about as scarey as Scooby Doo.

  10. I think the waitresses were outside in the courtyard area. I guess we were supposed to go out, find one, get a drink, then come back in. The drink part wasn't my primary goall but it was odd to say the least and not quite what the description led me to believe. I hope it evolves into something that is a bit better implemented for future weeks.

  11. I posted this at Rumors but thought it was worth sharing...

    **Contains House Spolier**

So while waiting in line for the Orphanage I'm explaining to my daughter about Cindy's history. We get to the end of the house and there she is in all her glory. I can't help myself and happily burt out "Cindy!". She leaps up, runs around the corner and gets on my side and says something like "take me home". I yelp like a startled little girl and run out into the street. My daughter laughs her ass off.

Kudos little Cindy...I'll adopt you anyday

  12. I wasn't as impressed as Michele was. There were no chairs, the a/c was not working properly, and they had no power for their video presentation. In my opinion I was robbed of my $10. The displays were nice and the info I heard was interesting but the surrounding elements were so poor that I could not enjoy or appreciate the actual persentation. I saw about a half dozen people leave and after 45 minutes I was forced to bail because I could not take it any longer. Very sad because I was sooo looking forward to this, planned my night around it and was hoping to visit for other presentations in the series. An AMAZING concept totally BUNGLED by Universal IMHO :(

  13. We'll take it. We would rather be 'creepy' than 'cool.'

    AMEN!!

All of Universals surveys about HHN concentrate on "how scarey is it?" "Is it scarey enough?" "should it be scarier"....creepy and erie are NOT bad things. Atmosphere and stroytelling are FAR more important that SCARES. Good to hear some on the team know that :)

  14. Although I'd love to hear every one of those topics I can't afford it both financially or time-wise to attend all. I wish there was a FFP add on option for these...perhaps next time if they prove popular.

I am going to also try to head out this Thursday for the 8PM presentation.
