  1. The tractor is a float tractor, used to drag floats around. Yes.
  2. Ci. The mask in the back matches the concept design from the preview site.
  3. Unless the sliders are zoned away from the float. Like I said, I haven't heard about sliders, but I have heard about beads. I don't expect to see sliders this year, personally.
  4. I hadn't heard about the sliders, but I hope that's true.
  5. TeeHee. I hope it happens, though the motivations might not be what is expected. And the scare-actors would know to watch for them.
  6. Most of the scareactors in Catacombs can't see anything anyway, at least I can't this year. I'm not really going to be targeting people, but rather jumping out indiscriminately. Just don't be alone.
  7. He doesn't fit, thematically, in any of the houses this year. It could be argued that he could fit Hallow'd Past, except for the fact that the house is entirely about past events, not this year. Is it different? Sure is, but that's what they are going for this year.
  8. I'm cast in the house. I also got a chance to walk through Havoc with the lights on and no scareactors. One is definitely better than the other.
  9. Honestly, most people wouldn't recognize the Catacombs' facade. I didn't realize I was looking at it until we walked in it. It makes the house itself that much better. And I love your sig...
  10. They better not, considering it's backstage. Havoc is the big black thing, but it's not black anymore. Catacombs is extremely nondescript. There you go... descriptions of the facades.
  11. Nope. Zombie Gras has more SA on set than any other scarezone, and is actually in one of the more confined areas of the park. There's a really funny gag that they've told us about, but the goal of the area is to actually be scary. The coolest part about the zone is that it is tied directly to Zombiegeddon, not just theme-wise but with story elements as well.
  12. Different times, different characters. The Caretaker was an extremely marketable icon in 2002, as was the Director in 2003. This year they are purposely leaving Fear in the shadows, so they can't market him visually, just the idea of him. It requires a different tactic. I like the marketing as a whole this year, because it has people curious. No one can really go in to the event with a strong, preconceived notion of what any of it will be like. That's a good thing. It will make the whole event more enjoyable as long as you aren't walking around looking for issues.
  13. They are describing it, literally, as a "dance." Whether that implies a "party zone" (which I find unlikely) or a more deliberate, creepy movement type situation remains to be seen. I doubt it will be "mariachi" music. That would be too festive. Something with, possibly, a Danny Elfman type feel to it.
  14. Of course it looks like a mask. It's most likely how they will use him for the next few years. Jack's become a mask.
  15. Really? I'm gonna have to look at my call times...
  16. The production team is describing Fear Revealed during rehearsals, but presently nothing is up for the zone. And the hearse will make sense.
  17. The houses? The Sprung facades are finished. Catacombs isn't much of a facade, but trust me, it doesn't need it.
  18. For what it's worth. Rehearsals last night kicked major. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised by what's in store for everything.
  19. Yes. They're moving the "New York" scarezone to Sting Ally. The saws will be at both ends of the ally with other SA in the ally itself.
  20. I had asked during the conference if there was a possibility of the 2008 investigation having to do with the current investigation, and was told to focus only on this year.
  21. If the Lantern itself turned into Fear, then it couldn't be at A&D or in Princeton because, well, then there wouldn't be a Lantern; only Fear.
  22. Okay, I contacted Ms. Himmel to get some clarification on the Portametus and the Lantern. There is an aspect of her response that I find really interesting and eye-opening. Original Message - "There seems to be some confusion among the Collective regarding the different items that were discussed during the conference on Wednesday. We understand the Device is missing, presumably in the possession of the Spirit Seekers however, the Lantern and Portametus have become a bit cloudy. Is the Portametus the image that the Collective put together or is the Lantern itself the Portametus, with the image being a, "key," of sorts, to the gateway/portal. I would just like to clear this up so the Collective can refocus with a more direct, and clear, understanding of what has happened." Reply - "Jeffrey, yes there does some to be some unnecessary confusion. We've instructed Mr. Gordon to post a summary to clear this up. As of now, the Portametus is clearly an instrument of metamorphasis. Beyond that, I must defer to the C.I.L. for analysis. IH" Emphasis mine.
  23. That chair isn't the actually electric chair that causes the mannequin to shake and with the smoke. All that is is a chair that causes sparks on the medal fencing around it. They used it in 2002, and Sparky wasn't purchased until Hellgate. That chair requires a SA victim to scream. The body is probably sitting in it to keep guests from messing with it.
