  1. Ok, so for a good recap of the scare actor groups from what is known from spec. 1 - Vampires 2 - Ghost/LT 3 - Zombies 4 - Dragons 5 - Escaped Prisoners 6 - Trick-or-Treaters 7 - Clowns 8 - Chainsaw Drill Team (female) These I believe are the best descriptions for the groups so far. Since we know a general description of the groups, now to figure out how they will be implemented in the park, what types of characters are going to be in them etc. Not to say anyone else is wrong with what they think, but some who have a very good idea of what these groups will be have directed our thoughts to these answers so far.
  2. 2004 had no icon. 2008 had the school house. Could there be a sequel to the schoolhouse?
  3. Also could the box be the park and then there is something outside of the studio's?
  4. Ok well I'm totally mind f'ed right now. I'm trying to think out of the box and I don't even know if I'm heading in the right direction. I don't know if maybe there is an Eddie, Chance, or Jack reference there but I just brought it up. Will something is also screwing with me but again I am probably looking too far into things. Before all these years and clues were being referenced, I thought that maybe there would be different paths that hordes would follow. Maybe even some areas for certain groups. Then once in a while they may intersect and explosions ensue. Also could anyone be leading these hordes? On one other note could vehicles be used either motorized or pushed be a scare actor. These are just things going through my head right now with all that has been said recently. Please shoot down anything that is ridiculous.
  5. The only reason I prefer zones to roaming is you know where they are so you don't miss them.
  6. I went to HOS last year and was dissapointed in the roaming hordes. I must of just timed it wrong or went the wrong way around the park. I think I only went through two of them other than the bush/garbage can area. Though I am looking forward to what Universal will do this year with roaming hordes. With so many pathways and going multiple nights I am sure I will be impressed. HHN always blows my mind compared to other events.
  7. This is a description of the event from the website : On select nights September 21 – October 31, Universal Studios Florida® theme park is transformed into a nightmarish labyrinth of haunted houses, outrageous live shows, and electrifying scare zones while an army of mutants, monsters and maniacs roam the darkened studio streets. To the general public I would think it says scare zones and roaming hoardes unless they plan on changing this wording. Not that scare zones have to be elaborate, but stationary so they can be shown on a map.
  8. I think vampires is the free-falling clue. Line in the song is "while the vampires, wallkin' through the valley move west down, Ventura Blvd."
  9. On Clue 4 I think this song may be what Dr. Jimmy is talking about. I think if done well a dragon scare zone or roaming would be cool. But now to see if they are traditional dragons or chinese or .....
  10. All the calendars on their website start with Sunday as the first day of the week. So we should get the house by 11:59 tonight.
  11. I've gone to the event since 2001 and even though there are so called good years and bad years not one time was I disappointed. I have always felt I've gotten my money’s worth and something always wowed me every year. I think everyone needs to hold complaints till at least things are confirmed. If there are only six houses and one scare zone the houses may be longer, have more scare actors in them, or more detail. The first year I went they had scare actors not in scare zones, so when you went down back streets in New York they would pop out of nowhere. It was honestly freakier than when there is a scare zone. Not that I don't like scare zones I just feel that we need to wait and see what is going to happen then speculate not complain till we visit the event.
  12. Interstellar Terror was based on Event Horizon. Dead Space came out after that house was made. I don't remember any monsters in that house. There is a huge debate over whether Bioshock was any influence in Saws n Steam which I see both sides but no matter how many times I went through it (6 times) it always reminded me of Bioshock. I'm really hoping for a Silent Hill house I guess we just have to wait and see. I am confused on one thing, from the spec so far I thought there was hints at a Mayan/Aztec haunt and American Werewolf in London haunt. It sounds like they both aren't going to happen now with the new developments. If they get a new SS to move to, why would they can both, if they were even going to be done in the first place?
  13. I think someone is messing around with that. Universal wouldn't start construction of a house to throw everyone off. Also on TWD house maybe Universal didn't get the rights to do a house based on the TV show but instead on the comic itself. Then they would be able to do TWD house but it couldn't be exactly like the show. It could explain the difference in the RVs. I'm sure it would be easier to make a deal with Robert Kirkman than AMC.
  14. Also Disaster is the only location that has had a scare zone tied in to the house at the exit of the house. So that may be why also.
  15. WWI trench warfare is not the same as modern day. I don't see the relevance of this at all. Other than the noises the setting should not affect anyone. Unless they are very sensitive and then any one of the houses could be an issue.
  16. Universal can make a house smell any way they want. They do it all the time with a certain odor device.
  17. Sorry, but I have to comment on this now for I feel it is getting out of hand. While I see Legacy's point, I do not agree with it at all. If Universal tried to make every minority group happy at their event, it would probably be reduced to a couple of mice, a duck, and a cow dressed up in lame Halloween outfits handing out candy to children. I hope Universal does not tone down or up this house because of anyone's comments on this post. First of all no one even knows what it is going to be like in this house. If you think you might have an issue with something in the house, ask someone about it after they have experienced it. Also when you do have an issue, then you boycott the house, the event, TV. show, or products related to it. If enough people do that then a company will realize they made a mistake and change it. I have been trying to do this with the Kardashians for some time now but they just don't seem to go away. I guess I'm not in the majority when it comes to that, but I will still try. Back on point there is no way for Universal to know what conditions people may or will have. It is your own responsibility not theirs. Boy this is a lot of ifs maybe we should just wait and see how it is then you can complain.
  18. I was checking out the games today and every time you reset your chip risk is now increasing by 30.
  19. Anyone notice there are eight different colored chips on the bottom of the house page. Maybe they coincide with the Chinese New Year zone.
  20. I don't remember a pool table in Assimilation. If the new Thing house is going to be like The Wolfman it will mimic the movie closely and include a lot of props shown in the preview.
  21. Is it me or does it look like the flames above the lantern resemble a cloaked figure?
  22. The first pic with the balloon pop game was that from the house? If so was that a pre Eddie in the lower corner of the board?
