  1. "Do you Fear, Death?" sorry, couldn't help myself... too many parallels.
  2. I hear the bird.... can't make out a transformation sound.
  3. I had the same idea so I just sent an e-mail. Let's see what happens...
  4. Well we could speculate a bunch of ways it could be done but if its not what's happening then there's probably no use in doing it. But, for arguements sake and since I put it out there, I'll bite and propose one idea: 2 actors: one "regular" Luck, one "dark side" Luck. Regular luck is a person in make-up and gown. Have a wig for the red hair but seen from behind (back of head) maybe there's an eye and nose indicating a face mostly covered by hair. Then ad a scar around the neck to simulate the ability to do a head turn. For "dark side" Luck, same thing only different gown and make-up. Now "regular" Luck is the "back of the head" and just have the eye be a different color and on the opposing side of the "face". Like wearing mask backwards and adding hair. Again, its just fun thinking of the "how" but if its not what's happening then probably no use trying to speculate further. Thanks for indulging though.
  5. So I've been thinking about this "other side" to Lady Luck and an idea popped up (work has slowed so now I have more time to think of these things) Its been mentioned that there are 2 dresses indicating 2 people (which has been stated that there are not). So 2 personallities? Sounds very resonable...but I'd like to offer a different idea. Some have said that maybe she transforms like a Jekyl and Hyde type. That would fall under the "other side" descriptions but not the hint UO gave about "not seeing ALL of her yet". Also, there's the "she is two-faced" speculation / descriptions....So where am I going with this? Its a far stretch but what if Lady Luck literally had 2 faces. Think the mayor from Nightmare Before Christmas. Her head does a slow 180 turn (like Exorcist, half way), she parts her red hair and BAM another, more evil looking face gazes back at you before you meet your end. I know, not very human...but its supposed to be all new and different this year. It would also explain the multiple female scareactors said to have been cast in what is supposedly her SZ. Thoughts?
  6. woah woah woah..... lets not get carried away here.... I mean, I wouldn't go calling her a MILF! seriously though, I think now more than ever we need to practice patience. The commercial cut may not be very good but its not a lost potential. although that bird thrown in makes me wonder more than hate... there's gotta be more.
  7. With regards to "evolving scarezones" I'd like to offer some speculation. The first thing that came to mind was The Coven SZ from before.... the pilgrims where set to burn but throughout the night I remember joking how well they held up against the fire. With that said, coudl and "evolving scarezone" be something that changes showing a time lapse of what's happening. This would involve maybe adding props as the night progresses. New actors. Change of make-up. Back to The Coven example, the pilgrims apear more and more burned until replaced with a charred skeleton. In zombie-gras: start the night with a live victim and ends up resembling a devoured turkey leg. To make it more interactive.... I'm sure scareactors recognize people or groups that pass multiple times through their zone in one night. If they are fun and cooperative and deserve an extra bonus, they get selected or pointed out for something... a ganging up of creatures or special effect or something ... whatever it is links directly to what's been happening in the story of the zone. Ultimately what I'm saying is that: what if an "evolving scarezone" means having a zone NOT fixed for frozen in time but instead sees a time lapse where things get worse or guest can see and beggining, middle and end to that story?
  8. I can see that... in the past once you pass through a scarezone, you get the idea of where the scares are, the hiding places, etc. My wife keeps an eye out for such things and then avoids them whenever walking though again. If the set pieces move, so do the scares and surprises. Guest won't have the same experience each time they walk through a zone. Add exceptional scareactors who have always done great jobs with stationary sets and you have a new level of experience. Ha! she's screwed
  9. Looks like the date for when the full site will be up. FB also mentioned that those first 21 that send their info in when prompted are in for more than just those letters by mail..... I wonder if they send it to just the first 21 or do they send it to the first 21 that have not already succeeded in the past. I hope its the latter so more people have a chance to participate
  10. wow....no site updates only FB hints.... not sure how to feel about that. So long to wait, bummer.
  11. The good Dr has brought that up a couple of times too (rhythmic couplets). I get the subtle nudge but have no idea t this point how to pull it together
  12. Attempt at deciphering: "first holiday"... like first ever? Looking at those identified on calendars: Christmas?
  13. Terra Cuentas seemed to be a period setting. kinda.... I'm still getting this vibe that the theme expands beyond that of gambling. Yes its part of it, but that post on FB a while back about desires tempting you hasn't left my head. I can see them doing a sin city type theme (not Vegas). A place that lures you in with indulgences and ends up sealing your Fate (Death). It seems to fit with the ideas of skantily clad, attractive woman roles for scareactors and the seven deadly sins (coors) reference made earlier. Gambling is just one indulgence. Even Boardwalk Empire showed more that just casino games going on....
  14. I know everyone has been speculating about Luck, Fate, etc as a possible icon but the post on facebook stated: " Desire seduces you…and you forget that the House always wins." I'm also feeling that female-icon-vibe, but I'm stuck on the above statement" ...Desire? I can see that being connected to the overall theme of the event. Many have discussed that 21 is not only gambling but the legal drinking age... drinking / prohibition... prohibition & Atlantic City .... Atlantic City, music, gambling, drinking ...Desires. Could we see an icon that seduces and attracts people to indulge their desires in a place (Atlantic City / Sin City / whatever) where death awaits those who dare play in this playground? House always wins because you chose to enter, now all you have to do is pick your poison... Just thinking
  15. sooo....updates will happen on Tuesdays from here on out? BTW, nice to see everyone again as we kick up the haunt season again. I'll try to be more and more active but ...work, you know.
  16. Would anyone be willing to help me out? My wife would love a Mr Happy Pants t-shirt (which I mistakenly overlooked after meeting Brushwood after his show). PM me if you are willing to do me the favor of buying it for me. I will send a money order for both the cost and mailing. Thank you in advance
  17. Now I understand the Barbie hands and the bubbles. Thanks. and Luke, I was agreeing that the show is not as bad as others have stated but did notice the weaknesses. Maybe it was that one show, but its my only B&T experience this year. I think the biggest weakness was the crowd that showing. Like being the only fan at a game. no one was laughing or clapping or cheering with you...
  18. I was there and I agree. I did think the show was not as bad as stated by some of the reviews I've read on this thread. However, what you posted makes a lot of sense. I felt like it could have been a better experience. You pointed out faults I tried to ignore during the show, but are right on.... and there was an IronMan scene??? Also, the crowd that showing SUCKED. The guy who played avatar (air bender) spent the entire finale (when the characters are amongst the audience) trying to get the poeple in front of us to clap along. This probably affected the actors too on top of everything else. Then what's with the barbie hands??
  19. My once a year visit to HHN was this passed Friday and I was, unfortunately, only able to see one of Brian's shows (last of the night). When you are in a group, it can be tough to govern the direction you walk. My cousin and I are huge fans and he was picked to go up and perform the card-out-of-your-stomach trick during Malice. Great trick, great show, great time...and my wife is dying to get a Mr. Happy Pants shirt. I even got to enjoy meeting Brian after the show. My hat's off to yor, sir, you are a great performer.
  20. Thank you for stating the up-side of things. We're looking to have a great time and, from some of the pics I've seen, I'm sure the event and scareacters will make that easy to do. Really looking forward to it and hopefully brining back many memorable pictures, too.
  21. Just to recap from what I've heard...and please correct me if I'm wrong: This Friday (15th) there's going to be that wedding contest winner thing, correctional kids 18-20 years old running around, and there's no school that day in the Orlando area.... friggin great. one night a year I can go and that's the day I was out-voted on. I smell told-you-so soup brewing...
  22. COLLECTIVE? .... Wake up and smell the "COLLECTIVE"? lol... But really, how shrewd a ploy would it be if each of us was holding on to subtle clues given in FB messages that we are unaware of and should be sharing with each other to piece together.
