  1. Edit: thinking about this It could be a direct clue built in there. Last letter, Last verse. Pointing at something... is it his posts? Says verse.. not sure.

That's what I'm thinking. I believe he's referring to either the rhymes before the games or possibly the tasks. Unfortunately, I'm on my phone and can't check them right now. Can someone post them for reference?

  2. Well, got my Baccanoid Top Leader badge, but that's all the time I have to grind tonight. I'm sure the Leaderboards will be a very different place in the morning.

Here's what I've been able to find out about the game so far:

Killing 10 shadows counts as a win, so to get the 100 wins badge just load the game, kill 10, die, repeat.

I'm not sure if it's a bug, but your crossbow actually reloads faster the longer you play. This means that at around the 10 minute mark, you become effectively invincible...

...at least until the auto-miss kicks in at around 15-16 minutes. Then you're unable to hit anything and die pretty quickly. But at that point you've scored a sweet 15K life force!

  3. Support e-mail information has also gone out to registered accounts. Don't see it on the website yet.

EDIT: HOLY CRAP THAT'S A LOT OF POINTS.

EDIT 2: Wow...I guess they wanted to give a way for people to catch up in points, but this is kind of ridiculous. How do you even "win" at this game for a badge?

  4. Yeah, badging was wonky last night. I did Silent Hill, Penn & Teller (x2), and House of Horrors, and only got credit for SH. My brother got it for SH and P&T (though he only went through once).

I blame the rain. It was miserable last night. All three houses shut down while we were in line. We were going to go back tonight, but the current weather conditions have made us reconsider and we'll go back next Friday when it's supposed to be less rainy.

Well, I'll be back on Sunday night, but that's just to get the Finnegan's badge.

  5. Well they are all clones of last years games. Hopefully, we wont see the pirate ship one as there were 8 games last year...

Ergo, Warriors=S&S, Beasts = Winter's Night, Traditionals = Poe, And Vampires.... uh.. hmm I forgot that game last year... must not have played it all that much.

The Thing, I believe? Wait, no, that was another "don't hit the wrong one" wasn't it? Heh, I can't remember it, either...

Anyways, yeah, I shouldn't really be surprised by them being luck-based. Was there another one last year that was skill-based, or was it just the match game? I only remember doing that one repeatedly. I guess, technically, the pirate ship one was skill-based...but as you said, hopefully the negative reaction due to technical issues keeps it away this year.

EDIT: Ack, no, I forgot how the pirate one went. The ropes themselves were luck-based, in addition to having to keep the ship balanced. Blargh.

  6. are we supposed to get a new game today?

It was just speculation on my part. We don't actually have any idea when new games will go up.

It's on their end. People in the FB group went through in the same order and got the 1k points. Very few got the 1k points but a few did.

Ah, good to know! Did they just get a text/e-mail about it, or did it come with a badge too?

  7. This is really kind of frustrating because we don't know whether the system is not working, or if we've just misinterpreted the task. Even though this task seems pretty straightforward, what happens when we get to harder ones?

I understand that this is some pretty new territory for them, but I hope they're able to iron out the issues quickly.

  8. You get 100 for the first scan (which I did not get notification) then each subsequent scan gained 50 (which I did get notification) I'm not sure how much the 7in1 badge yielded me.

Interestingly enough, this was a change from Thursday night. I got three house badges on Thursday and they only gave 50 points each (according to the e-mails). Last night, the points for first visits were raised to 100. So they're still making adjustments here and there.

My brother says the 7-in-1 badge is worth 700 points.

  9. There does still seem to be some minor issues with the scanners. My brother and I did all of the houses last night, but he was the only one who got the 7-in-1 badge. I later realized that the Walking Dead scanner didn't register my card properly...I had already gotten the badge for it on a previous night, but didn't receive the "you went through Walking Dead again" e-mail last night.

Oh well. Guess I'll have to try and hit all of the houses again next week.

  10. I'm kinda bummed though to have missed out on 'completing' our task for this because of the glitch. Hopefully there will be a pretty decent award that comes along with going through all the houses this week if it does indeed get fixed :)

We still don't know that the task was limited to last night. It could be that each task lasts for a week or something and for now they just want us to visit all of the houses at least once before we get into the puzzle part of the game.

Okay, so I am finally going to the park this Sunday (only day possible in my schedule). After entering the park, where should I go to pick up my card? I keep reading that people have picked them up, but my question is where?

Go immediately to your left upon entering the turnstiles. You'll see big posters with all of the legion symbols. There are three lines: one for registering on the website (if you haven't already), one for picking up passcards, and then one for activating the passcard once you've got it. They've been having some technical difficulties, though, so the activation line tends not to move very fast.

Are all of the cards for the in-park part gone now?

There were still cards at 10:30 last night, and they said they would continue handing them out tonight as well, so they're still available.

  11. Honestly, after playing just the beasts and the vamps for the whole day yesterday. I would say the match game is still a better probability... as your ability controls the score. where as the other two you can only rely on the law of averages and dumb luck.

Agreed. When you're good at the match game, you can get a constant 50-70 points every game (40 if you screw up and 80-90 if you get really lucky). Having to open and close each of the lids really puts me off of the coffin game, and there's only a 50% chance you're going to get a max of 50 points every time you do it. And don't even get me started on the cages, which have such a low statistical probability of succeeding that it really just doesn't seem worth it.

2.8k is not unreasonable at all. That 2.8k is from dividing his number of points with the maximum possible number of hours he could be playing without doing anything else and still be alive. That is what makes it unreasonable. 2.8k is the minimum per hour it would take for him to reach his score level with the amount of hours passed since the start of the games. This means he can't have a job, go to school or leave his house. If he does anything more than sit in front of his computer 2.8k would turn into at least 5k+ an hour of non-stop play when he's at home.

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to imply that I was disagreeing with you. It's pretty absurd. (However, I will say that I've been witness to MMO players doing some pretty absurd things with their gaming time...even this week, due to the release of a certain major expansion.)

But as JWFearman pointed out, it was the the fact that their gains weren't constant that was the true indicator. And now we have definite proof, because...

Looks like they found out Jordan S. and Matt E. were cheating... they had all their points and badges taken away and now sit at the bottom of the leader board with a new badge...

Haha, oh wow. It's nice to know they have the ability to tell and took action on it so quickly. And I got a nice ranking boost out of it, too! :)

Also noticed that the liquid vial on your profile page must be relative to the rest of your legion, since that got a healthy boost, as well.

  12. So I did some rough calculations. The highest score is Matt with 225,156 points. If Matt did NOTHING but sleep for 7 hours a night and play the games he would average about 2,850 points per hour. So he's either is not real, has absolutely no life, or he's cheating. This would be fairly easy to accomplish with more than one person playing on the same name.

2.8K per hour is not at all unreasonable. I can earn roughly 1K every 10-15 minutes grinding the match game. More if I'm not stopping to do the Cerebin game every so often. But as you say, it would certainly take a rather unhealthy obsession with these games to reach that point this quickly without outside help.

No they don't and I would highly recommend one. One of our party lost it in the course of the night. Me I put it in the back of my wallet for the night and just tapped my wallet to the pad (which wasn't working that night anyway) but I don't want to mess up the card :)

Okay, thanks a lot! I'll be sure to bring the lanyard with my Legendary Truth badges. :)

  13. I don't think they'd intentionally make themselves the top player.

Yeah...pretty sure if it was a test account, it would either be invisible to the leaderboards or they would delete it immediately after doing their test.

On a different note: For those who have already picked up their badges, did they come with a lanyard? Or should I bring my own?
