Man, I actually experienced it quite a bit in 2009. I went opening weekend though, and one of those nights was, as you said, an 'apocalyptic rainstorm.' It was awesome. We went through WolfMan AND Frankenstein basically alone. If was awesome, but damn those actors fucked with us hard core (no complaints though!)

As someone who did go and did the house more than a few times due to the short line, I second this statement. It was just very reliant on timing. The first time we went in, we hit all the resets. Second time around, we had the house to ourselves and it was a ton of fun. Third time, we had it to ourselves with the exception of a group of middle aged adults behind us and THEY got hit with the scares which made it funnier for us. It wasn't flawless by any means, but it wasn't the worst either.

Could not agree more! I am booked for 11 nights at Cabana Bay just so I can take even more advantage of my RoF+Express tickets for 8 nights! Hoping they just took away addons for Saturdays because they don't want them to sell out at the "cheaper" price before they make a big deal about tickets being on sale. I'm sure there is a set number of each type of ticket and they might have been getting close to that number already for Saturdays. I know there was a lot of talk last year about a big ticket shakeup this year because they were simply offering WAY to many options and it was getting confusing. Feel like RoF, a "every night but Saturday's" ticket, normal ticket and addon tickets is all that is needed with each ticket type having the option to add express. If they remove RoF I don't know what I am going to do. Whole reason I picked the 2nd and 3rd week was to use that ticket!

Third Shoot post is done. I now have to write more scripts. I also have another paying job to attend to. You may be hearing my voice more than you'd expect But I want that teaser out early May too. So lots going on!

Happy to hear Purge won't be a house! Agree with those bold houses, criticalanalysis...except for Hitchcock. I understand why you guys wouldn't want it, but as a big Hitchcock fan-and having just watched 20 of his films in the past several months-I'd be happy to see creative give it a stab.

I totally agree with everything you said! I have only been to the event two years (24 and 25) but followed it online for MANY years. 24 I was still terrified about what I was getting myself into to and had only planned on 2 nights. That was a mistake! I had the best time I have ever had at any theme park that year! It was just incredible. Was blown away by what they were able to pull off in a year. I didn't go into every house (and boy do I kick myself still for skipping Halloween and G&G) but it was fun! Then of course last year I corrected my mistake and went for a full weekend WITH express! Did every single house a ton of time...50 total! Went solo for 25 and still had an insanely fun time. Doing the "lights on" tour was just the icing on the cake. Now, I have booked 11 nights at Cabana Bay already so I can attend two full weekends this year (solo again)! Regardless of what houses get made, if they have an Icon or not, or even if TWD comes back, I will still have a blast. There is something, for lack of a better word, magical in the air during the event...way more than the magic you feel at WDW. Are there IP's and other things I would like to see? Of course! I want a Krampus house sooo bad! But, even if that IP is not present, I will not let that ruin the whole event. I say, be grateful we get an event of this scale each and every year and appreciate it while it last. Like all good things, it will end at some point so enjoy it!

I'm excited that DD is venturing into new territory! First and last look before the project starts in August. Ok we may give another teaser sooner or later.
