Excuse me for being stupid, but where are you all getting the idea that Fear is an icon? This year seems icon-less to me, and that is not necessarily a bad thing, IMHO.
I agree that the site is just kind of meh, compared to years past. 2007 was indeed the best year for the website, but far from my favorite year in person. The website, I think, is only intended to give us an idea of what to expect, and I would much rather have a lackluster website and a totally kick ass year, than visa versa.
Has anyone else noticed that with Fear Revealed, you see the faces of the Storyteller and Jack floating in and out?
On the conference call today, they referred to Fear as an icon. Plus it's been stated in the video about the event and news articles like others have linked to that he is an icon. So I'm thinking that pretty much solidifies the fact that he's.. an icon.
They really teased us with him today on the conference though. But we're assured that more information will surface about him in weeks to come. Can't wait!
He sounds like a real mean dude lol.

Hey guys, I decompiled the new site and made a short video of all the videos that pop up on the new site update.
They're pretty hard to see on the site so this should be easier to view. It gives us a tiny sneak peek to what's inside of the houses.

I dunno if anyone posted this, but the image description from the new teaser image reads: Halloween Horror Nights XX – HHN XX, Fear creature for advertising shoot. Shot on Black full body and close-ups with Lantern. Soundstage #20
We got the image via an e-mail from Universal and when I saved it that was the image description.

My thought since seeing these photos is that they either came out of the lantern or were thrown in by someone but snatched out by someone in A&D (Maybe Cell Director) in an effort to stop the process that has already begun. If they came from the lantern that opens alot of vague possibilities, maybe that after every year this lantern somehow absorbs that year and they have been in there now, merging togteher to create something truly terrifying. If they were snatched out of the lantern after someone threw them in, that could possibly mean they were being used to feed whatever is inhabiting the lantern, making it stronger. That would imply that the entity in the lantern gets its power by feeding off previous years. This currently is my theory of chioce.
Thinking about the thought that someone could have thrown images into the lantern what if the images that are thrown into the lantern come to life. Like the characters thrown in come out alive. This is a funny analogy but sort of like the Indian in the cupboard style lol. Maybe the person from the audio transmission whitnessed someone putting the images in the lantern and was then attacked by the person or characters coming out?

Just got a response to two questions I asked Ms. Himmel.
1) The Universal employee has not been identified yet.
2) The other evidence found is indeed more images and they are currently in preliminary review by the CIL.
Awesome! Can't wait for them to be released. Prob a week or two before we receive those. I wonder how many more there are.

I think you're reading too much into the message you recieved from IH. You got the canned, "Nice Job. Welcome to the Collective". A message we all received when we first joined. I highly doubt she was referring specifically to your image. We've been given 5 pieces to a very large puzzle. So any combinations that look vaguely correct are going to be in actuality not even close. We need more pieces, and those will come with time. These are just image markers. Patience.
Oh ok. Wasn't sure cause I did ask around and was told some didn't receive one. Thanks for the clarification. I also agree we have much more pieces to come. Anxiously awaiting the next update. :-)

Once again, as with your lantern picture, you're forcing things in and out of an image. These don't fit together. Close but not matching. They wouldn't give you a handful of matching pieces up front. Wheres the fun in that? The others who have posted their ideas for the pieces seem way more on the right track and this is just grasping at straws IMO.
I don't think they would give us all the pieces at once also, but I just thought it would be interesting to see if they matched up in some way. Maybe there is more to it than just waiting for 1 clue to come out of the series of images? What if we're meant to find more than one clue? For example: putting all the pieces given together to get some meaning, then arranging them in a larger puzzle when more pieces are given to receive another clue. Just throwing that out there.
I also spoke to some people that posted their arrangements on the LT facebook page and they didn't receive a response from Ignatia about their arrangements, but I received a positive message on the arrangement. NOT saying it means anything, but they do state on the page they will be watching the speculation and evaluating it so this could mean the arrangement is on the right track for more clues to come.
I haven't looked into this image arrangement that much, but thought it was interesting how some of the pieces fit the way they do when partially overlapped.

Some of the best advice ive seen in months on here... and good observations, it is possible i leave subtle clues in all my post... and even that sometimes they are about as subtle as shooting at babies, just people dont see them or read them close enough...
or maybe i dont....
I would say you are on the right track, but as said... this is just a small piece of a bigger puzzle, that isnt going to reveal much at the moment... but will eventually.
And this whole puzzle itself is just a small piece in a larger puzzle itself.
Dont get caught up in the moment, be in it for the long game and anticipate what is to come instead.
Yea I do believe there is more to come to complete the puzzle, so I'm not looking to far into it right now just anxiously waiting for the next update ;-)

I think the puzzle pieces can be arranged in numerous ways but when I arranged the puzzle pieces a little differently a face (towards the right) can almost be seen. Not sure if it's another face in the clouds deal but I thought I'd share it since when I posted it on the LT facebook I got a positive response from Ignatia. Anyone else post their arrangement and get contacted?

That seems plausible enough. Cause the person in the transcriptions said it was something he hadn't seen before. Well... we've had the reverse effect of what you just said before.
Explanation:
2008, we were sucked into a world- Bloody Mary's world inside the mirror. If the lantern acts as a sort of Pandora's Box idea instead of sucking/bringing you into the world inside the lantern (which is what happened in '08, except with a mirror) it will unleash the inside world upon you. Which... technically we haven't seen before.
I don't know. I could be off track. The fact that the person, whomever it is, stressed that it was something unseen before leads me to believe that it's gonna be more in the vein of unleashing something, instead of bringing you inside, because as stated before we have done that before.
Plus Pandora's Box has to deal with Greek Mythology (Gods/Goddesses, etc) and many of this years clues seem to have some kind of religious connotations with them. Gabriel Fell, the alpha and omega symbols, etc.
But if it is in the style of Pandora's Box, I'm interested as into who put all the "evil" inside of it in the first place.
Yea, I noticed that it has to deal with Greek Mythology also so maybe we're on to something...?
And I also got the same feeling that something is being unleashed (rather than sucked in) from the lantern when the guy sees it.

That seems likely. The lantern could very well be a "Pandora's Box" of sorts, and the events that occured in the past could have be flames that escaped from the lantern.... after all, the icon's faces are hidden in some of the flames.
I like the pandora's box idea!
Here's what the wiki says about pandora's box: After Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus sought reprisal by handing Pandora to Epimetheus, the brother of Prometheus. At the same time, Pandora was given a jar that she was ordered not to open under any circumstances. Despite this warning, overcome by curiosity Pandora opened the jar. Upon doing so, the evils contained within escaped into the world.
Since the faces can be seen within the lantern the idea isn't entirely implausible. What if the past icons have been trapped inside the lantern which could be a pandora style box. And someone is going to open it - possibly the person from the LT audio transcriptions?

A few notes from 2008:
Passwords to the MNA were given during the event. If I remember right the first one was just prior to the event starting. Once the MNA is accessed it provides certain information and clues to the investigation. Most provided the basis of the next event night, the starting point for that evening. Some where opened during the evening so you had to have a offsite operative to access them since most of the site was flash-based. Looks like I need to get a laptop with cellular access.
There should be an email registration soon if they go that route this year.
Also, hopefully an onsite event will happen soon, that's what kicked off LT last time.
If u have an iPhone 3GS/4 u can always add tethering to your account and bring a laptop with u and use the phones Internet connection ;-)

The seal or emblem on Shadow Creek looks to me like a school emblem. My guess would be the Jaws queue.
When Universal tweeted out the enlarged image for Shadow Creek they added the tent number to the title of the image! The image was titled Halloween Horror Nights Tent 2. Not sure why they did that, but I took a look at all the roles leaked for this tent and I'm speculating it's either a military house or it could be Jack's asylum (maybe renamed for some reason we will learn about later) and with the characters leaked maybe it will have a section of war veterans who are in the asylum because of psychological trauma from war..

I was browsing the web and came across this character called the Harlequin that is said to be located within a "klown scare zone" this year at HHN XX!
Anyone see this or know anything else about it?
I wrote a blog post about it (the link to original source is in the post) but I don't have much information on the character or the scare zone yet.

The official Universal Orlando twitter posted a better quality image of the Shadow Creek facade last night. The picture is located here
In this picture, you can clearly see that this facade is for Sprung Tent 2, which if I recall correctly is the rumored military house. Shadow Creek could be a military base or outpost, the emblem in the center has the Greek letters Alpha and Omega. Emblems such as this are common, not just in colleges and fraternities, but in specific military platoons or battalions.
Hopefully I'm not to off base with my assertions and I've shed some light on the Shadow Creek issue.
The picture is titled Halloween Horror Nights 2010 Tent 2 So it's definitely the facade of Sprung tent 2!

This is a crazy far-fetched idea and obviously wouldn't be the case, but I figured I'd throw it out there for convo lol:
What if the new characters/icons took over HHN XX?
For example, right now were seeing characters that are suppose to be here this year for a reunion year. Almost like a happy (as ironic as that sounds) little event with the old icons
. But the new icons are planning to kill this years icons to start the "new era of darkness." Think of it like Freddy vs. Jason style - bad guy against bad guy. In succeeding, the new icons take over HHN and terrorize everyone who enters - showing how they torture each icon (a house for each icon being tortured). They show their evil power over the event and warp it into a whole new type of evil and scare, where they then plant the new seed for horror creatures to be born. I know it sounds crazy! It was a random thought that popped in my head lol
But, what if!?
It would be cool if they did some kind of plot twist that non of us were expecting though!

Okay. Considering that Universal has given us so many original ideas, I have a feeling that even if the icons are used, it won't be repetitive. I mean, they might be making new houses which are giving the icons less significant roles, while maintaining the integrity of both the atmosphere of the house, and the cohesion of ideas. Also, I have some speculation about the lantern. Since the flame is glowing even brighter, it could do what H_P had said, and "go out", but not for an era of darkness for HHN 20. What if it is a marker for the dates of HHN, like a ceremonial counter? What if the lantern goes out after this year's HHN finishes. That would represent the end of the icons as we know it, like a final farewell. The fire can very well be a figure of the icons existence or presence. It kinda reminds me of the whole HHN 15 year.
I like what you're thinking! I also noticed the flame was brighter and I think that's a good theory that you have about it.

Hey Guys! So Universal updated the HHN websites "characters" section! Most of you checked out my article about the hidden characters within the lantern so I wanted to update and let you guys know that in the new characters section some of the creatures I found hidden within the lantern are on the update! Including the white rabbit, the bull-headed creature, jack the clown and many more! Take a look at the HHN update and then compare to the lantern I dissected.. I know it was a little hard to see for some but it seems like I did see somethings hidden after all ;-)
