  1. I've thought about it, but I'm hesitant to say there are two "New York" zones (Library and Sting Alley). I say that for a couple of reasons: 1) The amount of casting across the park this year doesn't seem to support an additional zone (which is what it would be, two zones instead of one). I could be wrong, but the numbers seem about the same, if not less than, previous years. 2) Sting Alley is the "new," "hip" area to design scarezones around when it comes to "New York." It's the hip, unique section of New York that, despite its enclosed area, allows more creativity than the open streets do. Also, their proximity (and technically, both being part of "New York" proper) would imply a continuity of theme between the two zones. At that point, it's best to focus on one area.

Now, to address the "Sting Alley" casting and the "New York" casting, it could be two members of the same management team (Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager) saying two variations of the same thing. Technically, the person saying "New York" is just as correct as the person saying "Sting Alley." Last year, all the scareactors were told "New York" leading up to rehearsals, when Sting Alley was revealed. It could just boil down to the person.

In other words, both a Sting Alley and New York zone would be a surprise, and would require a lot more logistics than we've seen. A second New York zone would, potentially, take away a prime Roaming CSDT spot (if it returns) that it always hung around last year.

Well said Legacy, and was pretty much my thoughts exactly

  2. I have a friend who was cast in the Sting Alley scarezone. But we've also had confirmation on a NY scarezone.. are these going to be tired together, or the same scarezone? I don't know much about the casting process, obviously, but do they normally cast two areas for one zone? My friend also said that in orinetation they were told there was going to be 8 zones.. then again, he also told me that this was the first year there would be two houses in SS23.... clearly that's incorrect, so I have no idea.

The separation of the two was more of what I was asking about a couple post up

  3. Alright, quick question fellow veteran scareactors.

I missed my call last Friday the 8th and they left me a voicemail saying they would call me back, the earliest they would be able to being Monday or Wednesday. It's now the 19th and no call. Should I just wait it out or what

  4. Alright... how about you start... where do you think a second option is for the Casino house based on codenames? Doesn't have to be the same people who initiate discussion each time. It's a free forum! =)

See that's what interested me is I've seen Legacy and couple others tell us that the tent that we think is the casino may not be. I checked the roles that have been given and really I have trouble putting the names in the other houses with a casino. What are your thoughts Lizz? Anyone?

  5. Yeah I wasn't denying the fact that there was other options, was just saying that if there are other places that the casino could be then let's discuss it. I know that role names are most of the time code, thanks JW. Not trying to be a pest just wanna hear ideas if people have them

  6. The later it gets into the night the more they slow down and get behind, my appointment was at 645 and I left a couple minutes before 9. So when they tell you allow 2 to 3 hours, they mean it. But the appointment system still saves you alottt of time

  7. Reminds me of processing with the USAF.

I decided that since all auditions are on Tuesdays, I'll have to miss class regardless....and an 8:50 PM time opened up for the 12th :D.

A little bit nervous, but I think I'll do fine.

Another dumb question: I'm 20 years old, kinda skinny and wiry...and I have a mustache. Should I kill the 'stache, or will it even matter?

I'm the same way, skinny and whatnot. I would say It really doesn't matter, because they just body-cast you, but I shaved before. You see people with everything out there, so I don't think the show directors will fret too much over a mustache

  8. It's REALLY doubtful that Eddie is ever going to show up again. While they may use the concept of a chainsaw maniac or a horror buff for a future year, actually seeing Eddie Schmidt/Sawyer is a very slim chance; along with the whole "new era" thing, Eddie's gotten quite a bit of attention for an icon who "never got his chance"; he's appeared in houses, including having one that was meant to be a pseudo-icon house for him in 2006, and had an extremely prominent appearance in 2010 alongside other icons. He's gotten almost as much use as the Director and actually has more or as many appearances as the Storyteller, I believe.

For an icon who "never got the spotlight", he sure got around.

Yeah, that's why I put it in wishful instead of the Spec tread, cause my thought process was as yours is. Just wanted to share with you guys what I had heard

  9. I'd say that's worthy of "speculation". But if any icons were to make a return, Eddie would be the one I'd want to see.

Well like someone was saying with Cindy, he never really got his spotlight, but was just known by mostly the real fans. So just maybe he will be in the run
