  1. Yea I am also shocked by the number of positive reviews I have seen between here, twitter, and Facebook. I remember back in May and June Iwas very down on this event bc I felt there was no buzz at all. I am extremely happy to hear the positivity and I hope it holds up through the event.

  2. According to multiple people I'm seeing on Twitter, the reviews are pretty positive. My sister and her friends went tonight. They said they loved The Walking Dead house theme wise but thought Cabin in the Woods was the most intense. The houses I haven't heard much about are Evil Dead and AfterLife. I hear the streets are much better than last year. I heard someone say there is a 'walker bomb', a truck that drops off walkers in the street. Will be interesting to hear what others on here have to say about the event.

  3. Wow just caught up in everything. As I have stated before, I am a Walking Dead junkie. I even took a trip to where the show was filmed and walked the streets of Woodbury about 2 months ago and lots of other locations and also hunted down where they were currently filming. I am very pleased with the set design for this house. The nods to Merle, Lori, and Milton is awesome. Yea the masks aren't the greatest but its not like we are going to be in the daylight. It will be dark and when something pops out at me, it will still make me jump regardless of what they are wearing. I have been going to HHN for the last 12 years and I have to say, I am probably in the minority here and really pumped more for this event than the previous 2 years. I think all the houses look solid and bc of my TWD obsession, the streets should be pretty cool.

  4. I love the fact they have some characters in the house... Milton, Merle, and Lori... This is really something that was needed and I think will really excite TWD fans. I know I really appreciate it and I'm a TWD addict. Great details in this house and looks to be 10 times better than last years house

  5. This house sounds great. I usually am always let down by the Disaster houses bc for some reason it never lives up to my expectations. I don't think I have been this excited for a Disaster house since Leave It To Cleaver. This is obviously a different type of house than LiTC and I am expecting an in your face intense house. I have to say I wasn't expecting much out of the houses this year but now I am pumped and just want the event to get here

  6. Yea I think it would work but I really hate that back entrance. I would be fine with just having the Woodbury wall with stacked tires and sheet metal at the front entrance. Maybe have one or two spot lights scanning the area. I would be ok with that, as long as we get a prison facade inside.

  7. Very well thought out. I think using the soundtrack would add so much to this house and is a great idea. I think building at least one guard tower inside is possible and should be done. I just remember the Foresaken and how tall some of the sets were. No reason it couldn't happen.

  8. Doesn't surprise me we wont have an icon. No theme = no correlation to anything which means they can throw anything in there and it'll work. The blogger idea is kind of just a unimaginative attempt at trying to please us. Is anyone else beginning to think that none of that stuff really has any significance at all? Is this "blogger" just gonna dig everything up and "unleash" the horror... kinda like Fear and the lantern?

Yea I think the lack of direction is what is really eating at my core. I have stopped paying attention to that blogger weeks ago. Granted we have only had 3 houses revealed, I am trying to hold out some hope. The way the streets were last year, I was interested and sucked into 'somewhat' of a theme between the different Legions. I just want that original creativity that HHN has been known for to arise into this event. I am confident it will happen, just waiting for a Gothic / House of Horrors type house to be announced. I'm a total TWD nerd, but I love the original houses.

    * I know a lot of you know all the houses already but I haven't had a chance to dig that info up yet

  9. Is that why I can't respond to anything on the street experience thread bc I got kicked out!? Thats just crazy if thats the reason. Anyone else have a problem posting on that thread? ..Goo...Your statement about the event being stale is evidence of the traffic on these boards. I don't remember a year when it was as slow as it is this year. There are so many people missing from these boards that I remember from past years... Kinda sad

  10. Haha I honestly didn't intend on that at all. In my opinion, a lot of the weakest houses I have been through have been in the Disaster queue. I have loved almost every house that has been put in the parade building... The Foresaken was awesome, House of Horrors last year was pretty strong, hallow'd past and Silver Screams were both pretty good.

  11. I was just discussing the difference between the location of last years house and this years. I think the difference will b night n day. I can't wait to see the way they use lighting and the amount of detail they go into.

  12. yeah I have no problem with people drinking because it makes the event more fun to them, I understand that and sometimes those people having a good time makes me laugh because they are being funny and getting scared easily. So I see the appeal, but what I meant earlier is that most of the times I have seen chaos and problems in the houses or people breaking stuff it have been people that I could tell they were drunk, you could smell it on them. Like, personally I have had more bad experiences with people that are really drunk more than anyone else, more than kids even.

So while I understand drinking is fun and they have a good time, I also see that a lot of problems come from really drunk people, more than sober ones.

Yea I mean we go and have quite a few drinks. I am such an aware person sober that I always see the scares coming. Alcohol helps me loosen up and I never see them coming lol. The problem lies with the idiots who can't control themselves and think they are funny acting a fool. i tend to see more problems with the young teenagers. Needless to say, there will always be problems with an event that allows in such a large amount of people. Some ppl just can't act respectful
