The marketing sure is a letdown already, but I don't think the event will. The event itself should be awesome still

Random side note, I just saw the episode of Buffy that the Body Collectors are clearly heavily inspired from for first time. Great episode and the Gentlemen are really creepy. Scariest thing on Buffy so far. I started watching the show a couple weeks ago and just got to that episode. I love the show. Anyway so I finally saw the thing they're inspired from which relates to this year since they're supposed to be in a house

No TWD anymore might mean them actually being creative again! TWD was the start of us having no icons or good marketing.

no... Fear The Walking Dead starts next week on August 23rd and season 1 will only be 6 episodes meaning it'll be over September 27th. 4/6 episodes will have aired by opening night. The new season The Walking Dead isn't until October.

I hadn't seen your previous post when I posted that. But yeah, it's weird. I'm pretty sure at this point we're just going to get the rest of it all at once, which is cool with me, if so. That is how it used to be

i am very bummed if Scream is being scrapped or if it uses the show. The show is okay but wouldn't make good house. I absolutely love the film series, especially the first one. It would be my #2 most anticipated house of the year, right behind Alice.

Scream is by far more memorable and has many more memorable scenes to replicate than this past season of The Walking Dead

intro drew Barrymore scene, Ghostface chasing Sidney in her house, Tatum garage death, school w/ principals death, whole finale part at Stu's house, cameraman death in news van. Those are all memorable and doable and just from the first movie. There's a few more if they use the next two movies eh, well I think the first is really memorable at least. And it is really popular. Not as much of a classic as Halloween, no. Like a lower-level classic. Not as much of a classic, but still a classic iconic movie. Very popular, and influential. I think most people that have seen it remember most of the parts I listed and remember Sidney, Dewey, Gale, Stu, Billy, and Randy.

That's Scary Movie. Scream isn't that much of a joke. The wuzzuup has nothing to do with the actual Scream movies. And no, you can't be the only one, though it shouldn't be for that reason. I don't think it's gonna feel like a joke house. I am very pumped for it

I'm thinking we're going to get AWIL and all the originals soon at once and Scream will be announced a little bit later kind of like how last year Halloween was officially announced a little bit after the originals were announced and just like Scream, Halloween was leaked early. Scream via the website code, Halloween via Publix but still.

Hollywoods lineup including the two that are leaked but not announced yet is 2 of the same as us (TWD and insidious), 2 we just had last year (AVP and Halloween), 1 very weird questionable IP that I'm not sure how that's gonna work, but it could be good (this is the end) and 1 IP that sounds great and I am truly jealous of (Crimson Peak). While John definitely does a better job promoting it on Twitter, I definitely think our lineup is better. Though damn do I want Crimson Peak so bad. But Scream, FVJ, Alice In Wonderland, Body collectors/Psychoscareapy and anniversary house more than beat Crimson Peak to me.

I'm really excited for this one! I've never found the first one particularly scary at all, but I really love it still. Idk, it's really interesting and cool what they did with the story. I actually feel the 2nd and 3rd ones were both actually pretty scary, those actually did scare me. I love all three movies. It should be a great house!

The event pages on fb disappearing is weird, any chance they are actually canceling the event? My dad always teases me by telling me it's cancelled. I sure hope not of course! I'm kinda cool with the reveals being behind schedule from last year really though. Heck I would actually prefer it if they didn't announce anything yet. I think it should all be announced at once in late August like it used to be. Before TWD took over, almost all the houses except for maybe one would be announced all at the once. Although back then they built up a story and theme on the website during the summer instead of just announcing things. I really wish they would go back to that. Anyway I would still prefer most of the stuff being announced all at once with full site update even if we don't get the actual creative teasing and backstory that we used to get. that's probably not happening still, they're just doing it bit later than the last couple years got some people used to.
