  1. Does anyone have proof that there was a 3 year contract, because I have heard that is not the case. If it is not the case, and given the fact that marketing shoved TWD down our throats again, this could be troubling to all TWD detractors: http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2014/06/10/the-walking-dead-has-a-plan-through-season-12/
  2. Roanoke connects to Croatoa and there are quite a few famous people associated with the word Croatoa: Ambrose Bierce, Black Bart, Amelia Earhart, and Edgar Allen Poe. More interesting, though, is that it was the last entry in a ship's logbook that ran aground of Cape Hattaras (which was formerly Croatoan Island). I am still trying to figure out the horror bent to this.
  3. Getting away from wendigos (wendigi?), what other early American history is there that is ripe for the picking? Here's a quick list I thought up: Roanoke Haunted ships (USS Constellation or USS Constitution being my first thoughts) The Donner Party Deerfield, Massachusetts (I only know this because I live in MA) Now to try to connect these to Jimmy and Cassilda.
  4. It was supposed to be all old characters (including even the Body Collectors and various other lesser characters), but with the possible return of Jack that may not end up being true.
  5. The Grady twins are never given names in the book or movie version of The Shining. Also, they never appear in the book, but are mentioned in passing, and they are not twins in the book. Usually I go with the most obvious answer, which The Shining SEEMS to be, but given that there are no names for the 'twins' in either the book or movie, I would tend to believe it is not The Shining. Now, something inspired by The Shining I could see. Or something inspired by Alice Sweet Alice and The Bad Seed.
  6. If we get three witches, I would love to adapt Universal Singapore and have these 'lovely ladies' show up:
  7. So, if I am reading this correctly, we might be more likely to see the classic monsters or the Face Off creations in a scarezone than a house. Given that we had rumor of an icon called The Propmaster with a scarezone that incorporated movie props, this could all line up to be that zone (this is assuming The Propmaster rumor was true). We know Uni likes having their movie based icons be obsessed with older movies so this would make sense.
  8. Notice he did not say an arabian mythology based house is not happening, just that Djinn (the IP everyone keeps referring to) is not happening. There's a massive difference there.
  9. I am literally just finishing up rereading "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and the clue immediately made me think of the Dust Witch and The Autumn People. Given that the setting is a dark carnival, this could be an amazing house if they try it. Also, given my username, I would be very excited to see this at the event.
  10. To be fair, I can also connect his first clue to Killer Klowns (if I really want to). The lyric, "Masquerade / Painted faces on parade" could just as easily apply to this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7ClWsueo54 Also of note, there is this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1979370/ Listen, I am not saying I want KKFOS, I am just pointing out that we can connect a lot of IPs to the clues we already have. I am hoping at least one of Dr. Jimmy's clues is to an original, non-IP house and he is implying theme/setting.
  11. That would be my thinking. If we want to run a more complicated connection: Annie = Tim Curry = Pennywise = a killer clown = Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The smile song would fit for this too.
  12. Are you saying "No, nightingales 2" as in the clues apply to a Nightingales sequel house or "No nightingales 2" as in there will not be a Nightingales sequel house this year?
  13. IP's forever! Screw the originals! I kid, I kid. Seriously, though, a Catacombs sequel needs to happen (and none of this "We are the victim" the second time around).
  14. Exactly. The probable spoilers to that are as follows (This is ALL SPECULATION): If they make an Alien house they may retrofit the AWIL puppets to Aliens. The London Waterfront might be Potter-centric year round as I have heard that Kreacher appears in one of the Grimmauld place windows. They may not find a way to keep the puppets safe in an uncontrolled environment that involves both wet weather and guests. Still, it is a fun thought.
  15. Thanks for the video! Also, if you give me the info I will attempt to make hints out of it...heh heh...
  16. 2009 was my first year, so I must have missed the house you are referring to. I guess there were some slight similarities with Orfanage so you're right, it has done the 'inspired by' route. Last I read they are working on the sequel but the earliest it would be is next year, so we may have to just wait until then. At this point, any info from Mike would be welcome. Even just confirming where the houses are located would be a nice change of pace from the nothing we currently have.
  17. My current guesses/wishes: Houses AHS Trick R Treat Insidious Poltergeist/Ghostbusters/Alien Icon house (?) Original dark comedy house Nightingale's 2 Urban Legends 2 Scarezones The Purge Icon scarezone (?) AWIL scarezone
  18. Add to the list: Nightingale's 2. Also, unless things have changed (which, let's face it, is probable) the original house will be a dark comedy house. If the rumors of an icon are true I would like an icon house, but I am guessing we will just get a scarezone over by the Gardens of Allah. An icon house would also give us a rumored four original houses (assuming we get Nightingale's 2, original dark comedy house, and an urban legends house) which would make things nice and even.
  19. This brings up one thing that may deny all Alien speculation and one thing that furthers my talk of ghosts. Since Alien is in The Great Movie ride I have to imagine that Disney holds the themepark rights to the Alien creature/movie. Given that Universal holds the themepark rights to Marvel in Florida and is blocking Disney from making Marvel attractions, I have to imagine that Disney would do the same to Uni over an Alien house. The idea that Jimmy could be referring to other works by these people further opens the door and Dr. John Overwatch may just be on the right track by suggesting Poltergeist. It would line up with my theory of ghosts and Geiger counters are fairly common in ghost hunting so to think the team in the movie would have one would not be absurd. Earlier I made a case for Ghostbusters, but Poltergeist does seem like just as real of a possibility if we are connecting the people or movies mentioned in Dr. Jimmy's hint.
  20. There's a flaw in that logic...he said the signature sound effect may not be in the game. This implies that there is a signature sound effect in the movie that does not appear in the videogame. The other issue is, he says he is "not sure if it was in the Atari version" which means it could be and all the research and eliminating we do could be for naught.
