Did anyone else get the 'What people are saying about HHN 24' email?
Based upon this quote included in the email: "Halloween and The Walking Dead houses were my favorite. I cried and screamed in both lol. Loved it!!" and the fact that they have questions about TWD returning on their survey, I would guess we will get another year of TWD.

thank god I don't have a standing job like that lol. Besides it is not even really worth it to wait 2 hours to do a 10 minute house, but that's just me.
when you talk to people in line, no one ever gets creeped out? or uncomfortable? just wondering about it. have you ever had that problem where people were just being polite when talking to you but you could tell they didn't want to?
We became such good friends with some people in front of us in line that we all hung out for the rest of the night and met up at The Magic Kingdom a few days later to go on some rides and have lunch.

You guys, I really need your help. this year due to the fact that I'm attending college in Boston i can only go one night and im literally have an anxiety attack every time i think of whether I'll get to see all the houses. for you guys that have been, which houses have the longest waits? is there any order i should go in? also how packed do you believe this sunday will be? i know its a busy weekend.
Halloween, AVP, and TWD all get long waits early so the sooner you can get at least two of them done, the better.
If you are going to be in the park and in a holding area, then go AVP, Dollhouse of the Damned, and then wait for Halloween to open up. After Halloween, Giggles and Gore is your best bet. Dracula can hold a long wait, but I never saw FDTD over 40 minutes. Roanoke is a wild card, but it never seemed to climb higher than an hour. Save TWD for last, not because it is the best but because the lines are stupid all night.
If you are not going to be in the park, be at the gates at least an hour early to make sure you are one of the first ones in. At that point, you can either follow the above pattern or just go straight to Dollhouse and proceed from there.

I think A&D saw all my posts all over the internet about NOT having an AWIL shirt and they decided to make it right....
My wife and I both took the surveys last year and pointed out that the shirt she most wanted was AWIL and they did not sell it.

Why no Halloween or Alien/Predator pin?
Guys, those are obviously being saved...for next year...

The problem with it being in the dollhouse is that it doesn't quite fit with the white porcelain doll theme.... But if it was just a random object on stage, or on a tombstone (there's a lot of odd things here and there) then it would be easier to slip in.
Weellll, it would fit the theme given that we know this much about the Dollhouse:
Dollhouse of the Damned-Created characters first, environments second with settings based on the characters-Porcelain dolls, knitted dolls, marionettesAnd have seen a picture of a ventriloquist's dummy as well.
Yeah, pretty much. If only there were some central face of the event that could unite all these things together. Some person they could use to "Prop" up all this advertising and serve as a sort of "Master" of ceremonies. Too bad that will never happen.
All in all, the merch looks ehh, but I am happy that they are making a house shirt that does not have TWD and my wife is happy that she might get her AWIL shirt.

Wait! Chucky was put in the doll via voodoo..... there's a voodoo-themed scare zone...... The square root of pi is also a long number.......
What if, Chucky finds his way into the Bayou of Blood as a sort of "Easter egg" ?(video game talk yay)nprobably nooot, but it's a thought, right?
Or, to make the easter egg easier, The Dollhouse of the Damned.

what are the odds in that AWIL shirt popping up in Orlando?
Maybe the odds are good. After all, Chucky has not been seen in Orlando since the 2010 20 Years of Fear SZ.

I am just glad TWD is not all over the house shirt this year!
-
It likely wouldn't be clowns, and DTF typically doesn't break big news like that.
Yeah that was a reach.
Maybe the Bill and Ted character list?
-
The only things I can think of are merchandise being out and maybe announcing a 'bonus' clown scarezone.

just to let everyone know. I received information that this year, there will be a zero tolerance policy of any foul language. This means that any callback that uses any profanity will lead to expulsion from the theatre. Looks like they're going to crack down on all callbacks along with last year's callbacks involving rape and molestation, and they're going all out to ensure that there's strong censorship enforcement.
Well, that's one less show I have to bother with this year. We have a first timer attending with us this year so I had sort of resigned myself to the fact that I would be seeing RHPS again (even though I really did not want to) but I know he would not be happy with how this is being handled.
It looks like it's time to get a new tribute show...
Off the top of my head: Little Shop of Horrors, Repo the Genetic Opera, The Devil's Carnival, Toxic Avenger: The Musical, or Evil Dead: The Musical (the last two are real, look them up). DO IT, UNIVERSAL, DO IT NOW!

When we were talking about whether or not the Alien house was even happening, there was a lot of talk about how it would not be a financially feasible house to build. There was a suggestion by me and others that it could be done within a budget by reskinning the wolf puppets. So it was not so much a rumor, as just guessing to make things fit.
From what I was told a while ago, Orlando shipped the wolf puppets to Hollywood and the Alien puppets are all new.

I still can't decide if I want RoF with or without express for opening weekend. I've been told one way or the other by various HHN experts. Some say it's a waste of money, other's say it's worth it. I would love to get away with not spending the extra money. However, I hate waiting longer than 20 minutes in line for any attraction. Maybe I should go without on Friday, and decide if I want one for Saturday night?
Honestly, I have never gotten an express pass since I have started attending in 2009 and I have ALWAYS been able to get through every house in one night and (depending on how busy the night is) repeat a couple of houses. That being said, I do waste time in lines, but that's what spouses/friends are for. I usually attend multiple nights and divide the rides/shows/scarezones between the nights so that I can see everything.
I guess it all comes down to which do you hate more: spending extra money or waiting longer than 20 minutes?

In another interview, the woman speaking about scare zones referred to MASKerade being a labyrinth... odd choice of words.
Interesting. It would be cool if it were a bit like Nightmaze in that regard but instead of just plain black walls they moved around giant mirrors or maybe dummy dancers.
-
This is probably an easy question to answer but can you refund and/or upgrade a ticket? Someone in charge of buying the tickets in my group bought just the first weekend deal for Opening night, but something came up and I'm trying to purchase a ROF pass. Is it possible to upgrade/exchange/refund tickets?
Yes, just call customer services and they will just have you pay the difference. I have had to do this this year, so I know it is possible.

I summarized the new information from the media preview event tonight from the main event plus several interviews, concept artwork, etc... there's a few minor potential spoilers:
Roanoke: Cannibal Colony-Old school Horror Nights feel-Separates itself from all the other houses this yearShould we assume that the surprise at the end is what "Separates this house from all the other houses this year"?

How does AP nights effect crowd flow and wait times?
I do not know if you are doing the AP party or what time you are arriving at the park, but be warned that both nights you are going have an AP party so the Parade building and tent houses will not be open to the GP until 6:30.

That was such a pain in the ass last year - made for SO MUCH walking. I hope there is more than one exit for all those houses..
Based upon the map, I think they learned their lesson on that one. I am curious if the new setup will alleviate the cluster that was CitW last year.
Do we know anything about cast times or which HNN members are cast in which houses yet? If I missed this discussion/topic, I apologize.
-
I know, but the thing is, they list that TWD and FDTD will exit in the exact same place, and yet they have different exiting places listed for D:U and AvP. It confuses me because, unless I am mistaken, they are exiting in the exact same area.
-
After looking at the map I have two questions:
1. Why does it seem like Dracula and AvP are exiting in the same place and yet listing them as exiting in slightly different areas?
2. Given that we now know the queue entrances, what house do you think Stay and Scream will be?
-
Also will anyone else be a little butt hurt if Uni uses "The Twister" in the final product?
That picture is from Hollywood...
-
I cannot wait until RTU is over so we can see how they set up the SS queues this year!
-
That was such a ridiculous discussion that year...
"Why didn't they build a warehouse facade for the warehouse?"
Hahaha! Oh, man, I forgot about that argument entirely.
Switching gears, how much of this house do we think will take place inside the fort and how much in the woods?

I have said this elsewhere but I will repeat it here: Little Shop of Horrors, Repo: The Genetic Opera, The Devil's Carnival, Toxic Avenger: The Musical and Evil Dead: The Musical.
All are viable options, but they seem stuck in the rut that is RHPS at the moment.
Also, I posted this in HHN 24 Discussion but I guess it belongs here as well:
Bbased upon the 'What people are saying about HHN 24' email and the survey, smart money has TWD returning next year. I mean, why else would you include this specific quote: "Halloween and The Walking Dead houses were my favorite. I cried and screamed in both lol. Loved it!!" in your what people are saying email and be asking about TWD coming back for a fourth year on your survey?
