  1. I can see them doing some great things with Eternal Darkness. Remember when the game "blue screened"? They could do something like that, like making you think part of the maze hadn't been done, or that you're done early. It has enough material for a great house

I like Eternal Darkness a lot but this idea just makes me think of the Pause Room in Resident Evil.

Honestly, if they want to do a videogame house they should just make it an inspired by like Saws and Steam was to Bioshock. Beyond that, I would be surprised it it ever happened.

  2. Would it not be possible to move the tents back more? And I find it hard to believe that they would get rid of the parade building. They take parades seriously at USF, so I doubt they'll get rid of it

The MIB expansion pad is pretty much the entire area behind MIB so where do you move those tents to where a queue or queues could get to them?

If they are going to move something it will be the Parade building but once again, where to and how would they make it accessible to guests?

  3. We are all talking Nintendo and nobody wants to bring up the HHN elephant in the room?

Okay, fine, I'll ask it: what does this mean for HHN once construction begins?

I mean, they are using Kidzone and rumors are flying that they may extend into the MIB expansion pad. They could potentially get rid of the Parade building and say goodbye to the tents if they use the MIB expansion pad.

  4. OMG, I LOVED Cabin! How could you NOT like that house? Ok, there is an ass for every seat.

Peoria, you and I share a brain. I feel the EXACT same way about the streets. Some of the most fun we've had at HHN was finding a bench near one of the most active scarezones, and just sitting there watching people get the shit scared out of them. Nothing better than hangin in the fog and watching these awesome actors do their thing. Talk about atmosphere.. I probably stood near the front of Grown Evil for hours just to watch.. there hasn't been a scarezone that good since (IMO).

I spent so much time on a bench watching 7 in action that one of the scareactors came over to ask me how their cast compared to the other.

Also, my favorite scarezone memory happened in 7 while I was sitting on the bench. A father was walking by on the sidewalk with his two 10-ish year old kids who looked petrified. One of the chainsaw actors revved the saw and ran at them without ever getting up onto the sidewalk and the children cowered back in fear. Aas the actor followed along beside them revving his saw the father proceeded to yell at the actor that "Sidewalks are the safe zone, you are not allowed up here!" . The actor put his foot up onto the sidewalk, smiled, and revved the saw one final time as the kids ran out of the area.

Edit: I also spent a lot of time watching Maskerade last year and when they got going they were phenomenal. I love zone-watching so much.

  5. That was one of my original questions, but logically it doesn't make sense. Why would a punch of violent inmates want to do anything with a carnival? They wouldn't want to run it. They'd want to ruin it. At least a bunch of psychopaths would be attracted by the lights and sounds and think they're "helping" in their own murderously misguided way.

By the way, the more I think about this the more I think, "Okay, psychopaths at a carnival makes a lot of sense. But, psychopaths FIGHTING Body Collectors? That seems more appropriate for violent inmates."

  6. when the last time a scarezone and house been with cohesion toghter unless they trying to tell a story

All of 2013. Heh heh heh.

I know. My optimist side just wants the cohesion while my realistic side knows they are probably just going to do what is popular or easily explainable.

  7. okay i undertsadn but wouldn't be beter after you ran though the shadybrook hpouse you run into them again in scarezone which will prpabally be right next to house

    Fair point, Legacy.

If we were in the midst of the attack on the carnival I would prefer the Hellgate inmates. I mean, imagine them grabbing random carnies and pulling them up on stage for a 'costume' show that ends in torture. It would also make for some great carnie/inmate interactions throughout the zone as we see them pursuing their prey.

That being said, is the carnival scarezone supposed to be a fall festival? If so, the idea of going from the Great Blizzard of 1888 to a fall festival does not cohesion make.

  8. i rather have them do something else in sting ally like the orginal scarezone of the ,japanase geisha monsters ,they where going do last year instead of scapping sting allay all toghter

I wholeheartedly agree. I just figure, with Shadybrook inmates already showing up in a house and rumors of a Hellgate SZ being cancelled, why not just swap out one set of inmates for another and then use Sting Alley for an entirely new zone?

  9. i get why they might scrapped hellgate to many prision theme stuff

At that point, why not make it the Hellgate prisoners taking over the carnival?

It would be interesting if they have us walking through AS the take over is happening so that we can have both inmates and carnies running around.

  10. Yes Blizzard is Sahdybrook vs Body Collectors.

I wish it was Body Collectors vs. Nightingale's in Shadybrook.

Edit: Regarding Legacy's list, he seems to confirm two roaming hordes. Morde means bites in portugese which seems like it might be zombies or vampires.

  11. Longest line does NOT equate to attendance, which is all they care about. The show will do well regardless of the house. The house, at least how they've been, will not attract fans to the show. People will attend the park regardless of the house, HHN is just popular.

I agree and disagree at the same time. HHN is popular and obviously that means most of the houses will end up with long lines. That being said, I never saw Dracula or FDTD over 1 hour last year while I consistently saw TWD at 2+ hours. Of the three nights I went I only visited TWD once and was not a fan, but obviously either interest or word of mouth were strong enough that people found it worthwhile to wait 2+ hours to get in the house.

  12. Its gotta be something like this. I just dont see Uni putting up the same house only 2 years apart. That makes worse sense than TWD 10 years in a row. Its gotta be a Silver Screams/All Night Die-In type house.

With that said if someone asked me whats the greatest house Ive been to at HHN.... AWIL is the first thing of the top of my head. Of course depending on what day it is that answer could change but that house was perfect. They nailed it. Doing the BTS tour of that house brought my inner geek such joy!

Would I be heart broken to see another one? No. Disappointed in the recycling of an IP? Yes.

If this was the case I'd be totally cool with it!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there was there ever any weight to the AWIL scarezone talk from last year?

  13. Rocky horror coming back

Or HR Bloodengutz coming back? Or a combined Usher/Director house? Either would be worth getting excited over.

Edit: I realize that both of my guesses are based upon past properties but I hope it is something we have never seen done before. The more TRUE originals (ie not even sequels to past originals) we see the better.

  14. Said on Twitter, "The only IP I know of that's marketing based is TWD. Maybe one of the other ones, but it's a good property so *shrug*". I could see FvJ being that potentially marketable, good property. Also put the kibosh on Krampus, FWIW.

Most people believe we might get a dark Christmas house with Krampus, not a house based on the movie Krampus.

  15. For whatever it's worth, Jungle Skip at OU says no AHS this year:

"I would not expect AHS to be at the event this year. Unless the HHN info I got was wildly bad (totally possible, admittedly), AHS ain't gonna be there."

Who knows. But, I agree, this one was way too easy and obvious. Has to be something else.

    Also, new clue from Cassi:

    CB7mOp9UEAE9NBZ.jpg

The map has the name Henry Herrick on it who was a Lieutenant at the Battle of Ia Drang during the Vietnam War. This battle was documented in the book "We Were Soldiers Once and Young" by Harold Moore.

  16. the sweet 16 cake

Unless there is some really hidden image, I assume this is implying a celebration year with one or two icons. I hope it ends up being more complicated than that as that seems too easy.

Edit: Also, none of my guess is new information which is why I REALLY want there to be something more to this clue.

  17. Hey I've brought this up a whole bunch of times in earlier posts in speculation, but haven't gotten any conversation out of it. Just an interesting thought:

What if we see the "Prop Master" icon that was potentially set up to be the icon of HHN24, but was scrapped? I was really interested in him, and his whole concept. One of my ideas was that he could possibly be used in a new maze. If anything, since he's a "Prop Master", or "collector" if you will, MAYBE, we'll see him take Fear's role as the overlord.

I have pitched a similar idea but I would prefer Singapore's Puppet Master to be the one pulling the old icons strings (see what I did there?). I mean, if we have to share with another park, Singapore seems like the one we should be sharing with.
