  1. I get the impression that RE is going to be more creature based than zombie based since the house description lists off so many of the monsters. RE2 and RE3 had such fantastic creatures that I figure they are trying to mine those more than the zombies. This is just a feeling, though, and I cannot provide any proof.
  2. I did not hear anywhere that Afterlife was a lighter house. I thought it was supposed to be a darker spiritual successor of The In-Between? If anything, I figured Cabin in the Woods was our dark comedy house.
  3. Some of these may be out of order, but hopefully you can follow my logic. So that eliminates Resident Evil. Two down, six left to guess.
  4. ss SS24 I like this link: http://i43.tinypic.com/2qmddnr.jpg
  5. Who's to say they are utilizing all of the space within that soundstage for the house?
  6. Switching gears: now that we have all had a look at the map, how do you think they are going to work the entrance/exit queues for SS21, SS22, and SS24? I am especially curious about CITW as it is right out front, has DM beside it, HRRR in front of it, and is an untested area for queues.
  7. My wife and I are booked for the Unmasking the Horror Tour on 10/5 at 10:30 and 2:00.
  8. I agree with the above and would also like to add that storywise, RE is much easier to adapt. It will make sense to people who have not played the games because the stories are fairly straightforward. The problem with SH is that it is really more of a psychological horror game than a jump scare horror game and therefore it is almost too complex to adapt into a house. That alone is reason enough for me to have faith that RE will kick butt.
  9. I called them and they told me that you would see six different houses. I am not liking that they are saying two different things.
  10. Yeah, I read that after the fact. By the by, the pictures of Afterlife make me excited/curious as to how that whole house is going to look.
  11. Full site update! I am curious about the fact that they are offering for people to go on both Unmasking the Horror Tours for $99.99. I am hoping this means that if you do that you can see all of the houses with the lights on, but the website is in no way explicit.
  12. 1. La Llorona 2. American Werewolf in London 3. Afterlife 4. Cabin in the Woods 5. Resident Evil 6. Havoc 2 7. Evil Dead 8. The Walking Dead
  13. If this RV's a rockin' don't come a knockin'.
  14. John Landis said the following "Anyway, in order to replicate Rick Baker's amazing make-up work on 'American Werewolf,' Universal Creative has committed to building these full-sized werewolf puppets that people are then going to manipulate from behind-the-scenes." Link for proof: http://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2013/08/19/huffington-post-john-landis-remembe.s-quot-an-american-werewolf-in-london-quot-which-will-soon-be-recreate-as-a-maze-at-universal-orlando-s-halloween-horror-nights-23.aspx
  15. I am very excited for this house as well. I am most curious to see them pull of Piccadilly Circus because it seems like it would have to be done on such a grand scale and so late in the house. My second most anticipated thing is seeing how they work the transformation scene. The puppetry is cool, I just hope they stay in good condition throughout the whole event as I am going the third week and selfishly want them to be working. As far as the Nazi wolves go, I have heard rumor that they are reusing the WOTLD costumes done up werewolf style so expect it to look similar.
  16. Sorry, that was not intended as a shot at you. It was more the annoyance of their vague website statement. I have to imagine it would be tonight at midnight to properly close out reveal week (full site reveal would be nice too) but I have no proof that this is the case. Assuming they do not do a full reveal with their Resident Evil announcement, I hope they will at least put up the tours.
  17. I am really looking forward to this house. As much as I loved The Inbetween, I would love the set design on this house to be more set in a twisted, and brightly colored, version of our world. If we are supposed to see how he made his headlines, then that seems the best approach. Maybe take an idea from Poe where his office looked completely different at the beginning and end because of him going insane.
  18. Seconded. Look at the streets for proof of this statement. If that is not enough proof, take into consideration that what they ARE doing for the streets was not at all the original plan. They are satisfying the GP, not the longtime attendees.
  19. I think the point JDW and I are trying to make is that this is most likely not a prison based house at all. In all likelihood there is ONE scene in a prison and the rest is something completely different. The house concept was pretty much stated sometime near the end of May (probably about 50 pages ago) so I just want to make sure that those who do not read back do not get on the wrong track. Now that I have hopefully corrected that error in thinking, I will disappear again into my own imagination.
  20. I was wondering the same thing especially given that what we know of the house (as documented on the first post) implies very little time inside of a prison.
  21. If you had to pick between the two, I would go with IOA over the studios. In answer to the ride openings question: not all of the studios attractions are open durning HHN but all the big ones (Despicable Me 2, Transformers, Revenge of the Mummy, MIB, The Simpsons, and Hollywood Rip Ride and Rock-it) will be operational. As long as you do not mind missing Shrek, Twister, Disaster, ET, and T2:3D get a pass for IOA. All of that being said, I have done the park and then HHN after and let me warn you now, if you plan on doing this, you are in for a very long day. Depending on your group, you may consider getting Express Pass for the purpose of shortening your day a bit and being able to relax.
  22. And Legacy is right, this conversation is coasting along rather well. My only complaint is that people keep railing against each other instead of just respecting others annoyance or satisfaction with what has been announced. To add some more coal to the fire: what's the point of having a fake blogger and presenting a theme if you are not going to stick with it? To me, the execution of PS is the only lazy part of the event this year.
