  1. No, it's has been officially stated by Aiello that it is NOT Mary Agana. The costume is an old Bloody Mary costume with a white doctor jacket. The scaracter just happens to have dark hair. One of the corpses at the end of Catacombs wears an old Bloody Mary costume, but that doesn't mean they are suppose to be Bloody Mary.

Everyone saying that it is her, I believe, are fans just so desperate to see her back.

that is actually really disappointing to hear. her tie-in made the backstory of the house far more interesting, to me.

  2. Depending on where you were in the street it could have been one of three. Most times during the last set the cast is in party mode but a few of us stay hardcore scares. I will let those on the cast know :) Thanks for the shoutout!

i was entering the zone from amity. he saw me, i walked by, thought i was safe, and he creeped up a moment later. there was a teenage boy a few steps behind me that clapped and laughed, if that helps any.

  3. Here's one:

To anyone who claims that scareactors in a house/scarezone are "not doing anything" or "didn't scare you" nine times out of ten that person is either resetting or trying to recuperate. It's very easy for someone attending the event to say something like that, but please understand that if a scareactor tried to scare everyone that went through their area they'd either pass out or have a ton of lame scares. I don't think anyone sets out to deliberately not scare people, you just have to remember that beneath the makeup, effects and costumes we are, in fact, humans, not some animatronic that can perform the same function repeatedly.

    thanks for saying this.

unless you're talking about esqueleto muerte... it is my understanding that the actors in there aren't supposed to aggressively scare at all. not everyone digs it, but i think it is a cool change of pace.

  4. ^glad to hear :)

as a personal request... if you guys could try and post the times/cast you're going through, that would be really great.

it seemed to me like people enjoyed the house... but there are so few reviews in comparison to the other houses :(

  5. After taking a closer look at the Shadow Creek photo I believed this doesn't look like a military academy to me. All the Military academies I've seen look a lot like manors. The walls look like they belong to a bunker, the rust looks like the area is near a body of water

I say it's a military installation or a prison. But most likely a military installation

i agree. i think its military related, but not an academy.

  6. i also think "shadow creek" is military related.

some symbolism research because i have too much time on my hands.

    Alpha & Omega

The Alpha and the Omega symbols represent the eternal nature of Jesus Christ and God. http://christianity.about.com/od/symbolspictures/ig/Christian-Symbols-Glossary/Alpha-and-Omega.htm

talks about alpha/omega in reference to the apocalypse: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_and_Omega

    sword

archetypal for strength, often used to display military honor

    lightning

can be symbolic for punishment, possibly from god/mother nature

    stars

there are 20, unsure of significance

    blue, black, white

    estonia's flag colors (lol)

most of this makes me think that tent 2 is apocalypse related, with "shadow creek" possibly being some branch of the military, not sure how though.

the roles in that house include a "dow" with basic, half, and full forms, suggesting a sort of transformation throughout the house (think wolfman's transformation). as for "why" people need to shave their heads, it may not even be for the "lol bald people" effect, but maybe theres a part of the costuming/makeup effects that doesn't mesh well with hair or something.

edit, ffffff tweedledum beat me to it. oh wellz.

  7. I totally agree. I think people are getting a little paranoid. Giving vague and/or mildly misleading character names, such as Pinnochio/Chucky from last year? I believe it. But deliberately giving wrong information just to throw people off seems silly, and like an awful lot of work.

EDIT: So apparently people are being told at orientation that about 70% of the roles are code names. But even still, there's a difference between a code name and a flat out lie.

i agree. in my opinion, the names have to have some relation to the role, and they likely won't make sense until after more information is known. the pinnochio/chucky example fits with that, because pinnochio is a pretty good code name for a "living doll" if you ask me.

i'm all for a little secrecy. not casting 20 something people under the name of "Jason" (looking at you, HHN 17) and something a little more debatable helps keep the element of surprise. but completely misleading the people who are paying for the event seems not only like a really paranoid thought, but also a really bad idea business-wise.

putting up fake props seems like an enormous waste of time and money to me, but i'll bite. i'm not convinced in the slightest that the ones in disaster are fake. should any of the props be fake, the ones in jaws do seem to be the easiest to remove. i like the childish feel that it gives off, so i am really hoping its not the case.

all that being said, maybe i'm just being defensive because i happen to like the way some of the roles and their areas of the park seem to be coming together. who knows at this point. i just hope we get some concrete information soon!

  8. More pics from today, including better shots of the swingset, and Sting Alley...what's in Sting alley? You missed it!!??!!? Click here to see it all.

And yes, all pics were taken from walkways and no "backstage" pics.

the only thing different about sting alley is i notice that the fake posters that were up are taken down. i haven't been down sting alley since hhn last year so i don't know if this is new or not.

and i don't recognize that broken-steel-enormous-cigarette-looking-thing in the bottom right of the first photo. i could just be unobservant, however.

also, i'm way too excited about a broken swingset and bloody sink.

  9. well i enlarged this, and then screencapped this from the video posted in the thread... but as i went back to quote it it was deleted.

but here it is anyhow, from pha_q's (i believe) video

    2cngu3a.jpg

i'm not sure what standpoint this is from, so just to clarify again, i did not take this photo!

  10. so i was doing some speculatin' on jaws because i have nothing better to do with my time. i did some googling about swingsets and fires etc in horror movies and found some more relations to michael myers (someone earlier said nightmare man may be a reference to him). a huge stretch i know, but figured i'd put it out there.

"As a child, Michael inexplicably murdered his older sister, Judith Myers, on Halloween night. Locked away for his crime, he escaped fifteen years later and embarked on a legendary killing spree in his hometown of Haddonfield. He intended to relive Judith's murder by killing his remaining sister, Laurie Strode, but was stopped by his childhood doctor, Sam Loomis. Believed to have died in a fire, Michael Myers lived on and committed various crimes in the state of Illinois before catching up with Laurie twenty years later. His current wherabouts remain unknown. "

"Knowing that Loomis was tracking his movements, on Halloween, 1989, Michael played a game with his former doctor. He left a clue on Loomis' map pointing to Haddonfield Elementary School. When Loomis showed up at the school with Marion to investigate, he found a wounded dog with a drawing of himself stapled to it. Loomis recognised Michael's attempt to humiliate him; that he was "like a dog, a stupid obedient fool" for answering Michael's call. At the same time, Michael murdered a teacher inside the school. The woman, who had just advised her students to chase their fears away with a smile, was found strung up on a swing set, her face contorted into a twisted smile with barbed wire.[10] In 1991, Michael stalked a young beauty queen who was named "Ms. Haddonfield 1991". Mere moments after she was elected, he attacked her in her dressing room and decapitated her with a knife. Her corpse was found "staring" at itself in her dressing room mirror.[11]"

i honestly doubt the house relates to myers in any way but i thought it was interesting.

and some random stuff i found...

"Valedictorian is an academic title conferred upon the highest ranked student among those graduating from an educational institution. The term is an anglicized derivation of the Latin vale dicere ("to say farewell")"

    &

    "valedictorian [ˌvælɪdɪkˈtɔːrɪən]

    adj also valedictory

    1. saying goodbye

    2. of or relating to a farewell or an occasion of farewell"

^perhaps maybe one of the final scareactors in the house, instead of being a strictly academic-type role, maybe "valedictorian" refers more to the farewell aspect

horror movie called "nightmare man" : http://www.nightmaremanmovie.com/
