I'm really surprised that The Thing is tied for the lowest. This same poll pre-Carnival of Carnage it was the most anticipated.

Does anyone know when A&D's 3 year design arc ends?

Nightingale’s Bloody Prey – Wait, what? Simply, I have a personal problem with a “war” house, just like I had a problem in 2009 with a “war” scarezone. I have been asked by some combat Veterans who attend the event if they can handle this house, and I don’t know. Recreating visuals and sounds from an actual war may be too much for them, and I would be disappointed in Universal if they are not sensitive to Veterans who attend. So, I am withholding judgment on this house until Employee Preview when I can go through it. I will be posting a write up about the house specifically for Service Members and Veterans on my thoughts, but I refuse to rank or anticipate it before then.
I'm sure once the Veterans see creatures running around and the fact that it takes place almost 100 years ago they wont be that deeply affected. Plus what they've seen is 1000x more horrific than anything A&D can throw out there.
Still a noble thought.

What are your most anticipated scarezones?

Hopefully that's not the full commercial
It's not. The full one is going to be even more painful.
Here, wash the bad taste out of your mouth.
-
I really don't need to see anymore sides to the (commercial) "Lady Luck". Bring on Lady Luck from the BK ad.
-
I guess I can't post the commercial here. Because it's super secret and your eyes will bleed if it's viewed before a certain date.
It's on the net somewhere. You'll find it.
Anyways... easily the worst HHN commercial yet. Lame icon.

12, 13, 14 & 18 are the only years I've had scarezone scares. Path of the Wicked was my most recent street scare. It involved a Munchkin and The Lion... use your imagination .
I'm hoping with the populated streets this year we all get at least one.
-
Whaddayaknow both house & street construction started early this year. Who'da thunk it?
Seems like the New York area will be back in true form. A&D most likely moved the San Francisco zone from last year to add to New York.
I'm surprised my account is still here. I guess you guys love me.
-
House construction started earlier this year than in the past. It's possible street could start in a week (lighting, small decor).
-
I would think not until September, most of the work on zones is done just before, during and after Rock the Universe.
I could have sworn we've had construction start in August before.
EDIT:
Last year. August 27th.
We have.

Scarezones should be popping up any day now.

With the traffic from Bill & Ted and the location of the house a scarezone in Amity isn't possible anymore. The Saws & Steam house will most likely be stand alone.
-
I'm still waiting for the return of the "ICON HOUSE" (Screamhouse, Die-In...). Hopefully whoever the icon is this year her/his house is epic.
The Dr. is always right. My sources told me so.
-
Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage being at the event on the final night? Do they do anything special or different that they dont do on any other night? Just wondered as i've never attended the last night but i will be in Orlando then.
Sometimes. They've been known in the past (Tales of Terror) to conclude that years theme. Lately A&D has added things to the final few days, scarezones... etc.
-
Saw's & Steam was my favorite zone from last year. I could easily see the claustrophobic nature of the zone coming into play, especially over at Jaws. Stoked to see the final result.
Plus the street to zone switch has worked well in the past.

If you look at Evilution & JP Extinction from 2002 the half-man half-dino costumes looked excellent. Hopefully A&D will take a page out of that book in creating The Thing.
Sorry for quality.
I know the site says the house will be based off the upcoming "prequel" but it would be classy if A&D did The Thing: Re-Assimilation with elements of the new film.

Not too happy The Thing is making a return. Besides the fact that the remake is sacreligious the original house for The Thing wasn't scary (to me). The puppets continuously doing the same movements. I'm hoping we see actors in alien costumes and they get rid of the puppets. Not military guys chilling around watching you as you pass. Let's hope the other 7 are classic.
